Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money

Chapter 97

Chapter 97

“We talked it over again. He said I don’t have to apologize,” Cynthia replied, looking at the joint project of the two companies on her computer screen.

Jimmy was confused. “What does he not wanting you to apologize have to do with us exposing his affair?”

“I don’t want to deal with it. I don’t want to argue,” Cynthia explained.

Joshua wanted her to apologize, and she could have exposed everything even if he had caused trouble. However, if she still exposed it after he told her not to apologize, he would surely cause her trouble.

If he got angry and caused problems for her, it would not be a big deal, but if it led him to go back on their divorce agreement, it would be a huge loss for her.

Joshua was a business legend, and if he wanted to make things difficult, she might not be able to handle it all. 1

“So, we’re just going to take this loss?” Jimmy sympathized with her.

“Just treat him as an insignificant person. We don’t need to care,” Cynthia replied, gradually calming down.

Jimmy agreed. Before ending the call, he asked, “Oh, by the way, Shirley has been asking me when you’ll be back in Nexuria. I told her to contact you, but she’s too scared.”

“I’ll go back after taking the divorce certificate on the 31st,” Cynthia replied.

“Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Cynthia continued to work on the project. After the divorce, she would participate in some of the Yates Group’s projects, including those related to the Neal Group.

She had to make a fortune from this.

The next few days were relatively calm.

On Friday night, Old Man Neal called Joshua and Cynthia to come over.

Cynthia did not refuse. After all, Old Man Neal was a respected elder, and she knew why he had called them back.

They arrived at Old Neal Manor.

The butler led Joshua and Cynthia inside.

Joshua’s parents were not there, only Old Man Neal and the recently returned Moses. NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.

“Grandpa,” Joshua greeted as they entered.

Cynthia followed suit and greeted them as well.

“You’re here. Cynthia, sit next to me,” Old Man Neal said, feeling down knowing they were getting a divorce soon.

Cynthia did not refuse and was actually glad she did not have to sit next to Joshua.

Moses, dressed casually, had a mischievous and handsome face.

Since they only met about three times a year, they were not very familiar with each other. However, Cynthia remembered him from their first meeting because of his good looks, just like Joshua.

The dinner was quite somber, and even with Moses occasionally chipping in to lighten the mood, Old Man Neal did not smile

as much as before.

Toward the end of the meal, Old Man Neal put down his spoon and looked at Cynthia next to him, his voice slightly hoarse as he asked, “Cynthia… are you really going to divorce Joshua?”
