Richest Mogul

Chapter 1650

It was half past three in the afternoon, and children were being dismissed from kindergarten, from the younger to older classes. The kindergarten entrance was bustling with people and lined with parked cars.

After some difficulty, Skylar finally found a parking spot nearby and quickly walked to the kindergarten gate to queue up. Once there, she realized that she was ten minutes early.

Usually, she and Joe took turns picking up their daughter, although Edgar usually did so.

But this morning, she had promised their daughter, Vivian Martin, that she would leave work early to pick her up today.

Since starting kindergarten, Vivian had made many friends and become more expressive about her thoughts and wants. Thinking about her brought a smile to Skylar's face.

Time passed quickly, and the classes for the youngest children began to dismiss. The teacher led out the adorable little ones one by one.

Having arrived ten minutes early, Skylar was first in line, ensuring Vivian would see her immediately.

However, as she scanned the group, Vivian wasn't among them. Just as she began to wonder why, Vivian's homeroom teacher, Melanie Vaughn, approached her.

"Mrs. Martin, could I trouble you to stay for a bit? Vivian had a conflict with another student, Nadia Becker. We'll need both you and Mrs. Becker to come to the classroom to discuss this." A conflict?

This didn't sound like just a simple argument between kids.

Skylar's expression darkened slightly, but she nodded and agreed.

As she followed the teacher, she recalled Vivian mentioning Nadia. She was a domineering child who often tried to take things from classmates and would throw tantrums if they refused. Just yesterday, Nadia's mom had made a haughty remark in the class group chat saying, "Our family does live streaming, so most of Nadia's clothes are gifts from brand sponsors. "They might not be expensive, but I hope all the parents here can remind their kids not to dirty Nadia's clothes. We'll let today's incident slide, but please be mindful in the future." Her comment had sparked a lot of sarcastic replies from other parents.

Still, Nadia's mom had a sharp tongue and engaged in back-and-forth arguments with several parents until the teacher stepped in to stop the pointless dispute.

This kindergarten was close to Galaxy Villa, had excellent facilities, and was known for its nurturing environment.

Before long, a woman in her 30s, dressed head-to-toe in designer labels, arrived with an impatient look on her face.

Without hesitation, she started reprimanding the teacher, "Nadia is always so well-behaved and sensible. It must've been someone else's child who bullied her!

"Ms. Vaughn, this matter cannot just

be brushed aside. Otherwise, the

other kids will think they can keep bullying Nadia. I insist that her parents apologize to us properly, and Vivian must apologize to Nadia as well!"

This was Skylar's first time meeting Nadia's mom.

As soon as the woman approached, a strong wave of perfume assaulted her senses. It made Skylar frown imperceptibly.

She was quite particular about perfumes and occasionally used them, but never in such overwhelming quantities. The intensity of the scent was almost offensive.

"You must be Vivian's mom," Nadia's mom, Carmen Dawson, sneered, sizing her up before launching an attack.noveldrama

"I don't know how you're raising your child, but your kid is always bullying Nadia. Why don't you take care of her better?"

Carmen was momentarily stunned when she first saw Skylar, then her expression shifted to dissatisfaction.

She had always prided herself on being the most beautiful among all the moms at the kindergarten. But now, seeing Skylar, she felt a pang of resentment.

"She probably had Botox or plastic surgery, right? Otherwise, how could her skin be so flawless, without a single wrinkle, looking even better than most celebrities?" Carmen thought. en

Skylar's face turned cold, her expression completely neutral as she said, "We'll discuss this after understanding what actually happened."

"What's there to find out about? It's

obvious you don't know how to

teach your child! I've already said Nadia is the most obedient and well-behaved kid. If there was an argument, it's definitely because of your child!" Carmen snapped.

She was adamant, unwilling to consider even the possibility that her own child might be at fault.

Skylar decided there was no point in wasting her time on such an unreasonable parent.

It was like talking to a brick wall. Rational logic meant nothing to people like her.
