Chapter 881: The Ring
The man’s embrace was extremely warm, making her feel both secure and content.
“What’s wrong?” Ranita asked worriedly.
“Ranita, I don’t want to continue like this!” Brendon paused, pulling a ring out of his pocket. “Let’s remarry!”
This sudden proposal left Ranita utterly surprised.
“It’s a bit sudden, and I didn’t prepare well. But I sincerely want to spend my life with you.” Brendon paused again, his expression serious. “I did things that hurt you before. Please let me make it up to you slowly.”
Ranita felt a sweet warmth in her heart.
But for some reason, she also felt a bit sad.Content is © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
“You want to remarry without even dating first?” Ranita touched the ring, lifting her chin slightly. “I’ll think about it…”
Just then, a little bundle of energy came rushing over, shouting, “Mommy, Daddy!”
Ayaan came running over.
With that collision, the ring in Brendon’s hand flew out!
By sheer coincidence, it fell directly into the nearby ball pool like a stone sinking into the sea!
A group of kids immediately started rolling around in the ball pool, and the small ring completely disappeared!
“Ah! The ring!” Ranita looked at Ayaan helplessly but lovingly defended him. “Brendon, Ayaan didn’t do it on purpose! Don’t be mad.”
Brendon looked at Ayaan with a stern face but couldn’t bring himself to scold him since it wasn’t intentional.
“Mommy, Daddy… what’s wrong?” Ayaan asked innocently, not understanding what had happened.
“Nothing! Go on and play!” Ranita said as she wiped his hands. “Do you want something to eat?”
Ayaan shook his head. “Mommy, I saw a really cute girl just now. Can I go play with her?”
“Go ahead!” Ranita nodded, sending Ayaan off. She looked at Brendon apologetically. “How about I help you find it?”
The ball pool was full of kids; Brendon couldn’t possibly go in there to look without going crazy!
“I’ll go!” Brendon rolled up his sleeves. “You wait here!”
Ranita stood by, watching Brendon crouch in the ball pool searching for the ring. The pool was filled with colorful balls for cushioning, and they were quite deep. As an adult, Brendon’s body was almost entirely buried when he crouched down.
Some kids saw him crouching and thought he was playing. They rushed over, piling colorful balls on him, trying to bury him…
Brendon’s face visibly darkened.
Ranita stifled her laughter. “Should I do it instead?”
“No need, I’ll do it!” Brendon continued searching while enduring the kids’ antics but still couldn’t find the ring.
Seeing him sweat, Ranita reached out. “You should get up! We’ll ask the owner later and come back when it’s less crowded.”
Brendon was furious.
How could he have lost the ring!
“Come on, get up!” Ranita said with a smile in her eyes. “You look so funny crouching in there! Hahaha…”
Ranita couldn’t help but laugh out loud, her voice clear and melodious like an oriole’s song, lifting Brendon’s spirits miraculously.
But he still kept a stern face.
“And you’re laughing!” Brendon came back and hugged her. “When we get home, I’m definitely spanking Ayaan! That little rascal always ruins my plans!”
Ranita’s bright face broke into a bigger smile as she teased him. “Even if the ring hadn’t fallen, I might not have agreed!”
