Chapter 5
Chapter 5 One Hundred Million Dollars
Two bodyguards grabbed the guy's chin, snatched his drink, and forced the wine with pills down his throat. His buddies were stunned and kept quiet, too scared to speak up.
Quentin glanced at them, bored, and walked off.
"You had it coming! Shouldn't have messed with that creepy dude," Harry scoffed and trailed after Quentin. "Wait for me!" Yohan hurried to catch up.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
At the bar's entrance, Yohan looked at Leah, who had just gotten into the car, with a puzzled expression.
It seemed like Quentin, who was usually sharp, made a mistake this time.
The next day.
After breakfast, Kaden asked Leah, "What are your plans?"
"Dad, I want to work at one of our jewelry companies," Leah thought for a moment and replied.
"You've always had a knack for design, even as a kid. I saw you made it big before finishing school. You put your career on hold for a guy before. But, it's great to see you back in the game."
Kaden happily instructed a servant to bring over some files. "Take a look and see which jewelry company you like."
"This one." Leah flipped through them and pointed to one.
Lia Jewellery, named after her by her parents.
Kaden patted her hand and said, "No problem. I'll take care of it right away. The company will be under your control, but don't stress too much. Even if it doesn't work out, it's fine. We have plenty of other companies."
Leah was stunned. Kaden spoiled her too much.
"By the way, Leah, we think you may need some spending money." Laura took out her phone to make a call. "I'll give you a hundred million dollars. Let me know if it's not enough."
"That's too much, Mom." Leah didn't need the money.
Laura insisted, "You might need money sometimes. Anyway, just buy whatever you want."
"Thanks, Dad, Mom."
The next day, Leah drove her red Maserati to the entrance of Lia Jewellery.
Inside, she found the receptionist at the front desk dozing off. Leah lightly tapped the desk with a frown.
The receptionist quickly woke up and nervously asked, "Hello, miss, can I help you?"
"I'm Leah Wilson."
Leah spoke calmly, but it startled the receptionist, who quickly ran out from behind the desk.
"Miss Wilson, please follow me."
Kaden told them yesterday but didn't mention Leah was his daughter.
So, the employees only knew a female president was taking over today.
Leah followed the receptionist to the top floor's office.
But there was a fat man playing with flowers in the chair.
Leah frowned. "Is this my office or his?"
The receptionist nervously explained, "This is your office. I'll let Mr. Reed know you're here."
Sam Reed was the top person before Leah arrived.
"Mr. Reed, please get up. This is Miss Wilson's office," the receptionist said.
"She's

Sam Reed looked up and saw Leah's half-smile and intense gaze.
He was startled and stood up. "You are..."
Leah crossed her arms and sneered, "I'm the nobody you just called."
"I'm so sorry, Miss Wilson. I didn't

Leah impatiently pointed to the door, saying, "Get out now."
Sam quickly left. As the door was slamed, he muttered, "Don't get too cocky, Let's see how you handle the criticism from higher-ups once you mess up!" én.swnovels.net
