Chapter 0200
"Sadie?" Raven's voice pulls me from my wandering mind. "Are you okay?"
Am I okay? Definitely not.
Alec managed to completely disarm me. Of course, I am not okay. What the hell am I supposed to do? I'd planned on how to deal with him because I knew how his mind worked, but now? Now, he changed the whole syllabus, leaving me to grasp at straws.
"Not really, but that is not what is important right now." I mumbled, rubbing my forehead.
Her eyebrows pinch together. I can tell that she's worried. I don't want to alarm her, but I also can't tell her about Alec. Not right now at least. We still had a hybrid to question.
"I'm okay,” I assure. "We'll talk about it later. Right now, we have a hybrid to interrogate."
Her mouth drops open, as her eyes widen. "What the fuck do you mean? A hybrid? Where? How?"
"He's in the dungeon. Micah informed me that he just regained consciousness."
"How? We've never managed to catch one before."
She's right. We've never been able to catch one, but it's probably because most of them were hard to catch. They were so vicious, so unstable, that the only option was to end them, because they just couldn't stay down.
"Maybe it's because I'm stronger now that my powers have awakened. It could also be because he seemed like a newly turned hybrid."
"Newly turned?"
"Yeah, his movements were a bit jerky," I reply. "They weren't as smooth as the hybrids we have encountered before."
"But why would a newly turned hybrid be wandering around Alec's pack? And how did you come across him?"
This is something that I've been wondering too. We've never come across a
newbie before. Like I said, the ones we've encountered seemed to know their shit.
It led us to believe that only trained or experienced hybrids are let outside wherever it is they are created.
So why was this one here?
"I honestly don't know, but I'm planning to find the answer. As for how I came across him, I couldn't sleep last night so I went for a run."
There were so many unanswered questions. I even forgot to ask Alec if he was
able to find out how the hybrid managed to get in.
Grabbing Raven's hand, I turn us around. "Come on, I don't want to miss anything."
I pull her along the corridors until we are at the door to the dungeon.
"You could have walked at a normal pace, instead of dragging me at the speed of lightning." she's out of breath as she makes her complaints known.
Rolling, my eyes, I push the door open. "It wasn't that bad; maybe you are just out of shape."
"You did not just say that."
I smirk, enjoying the annoyed look on her face. "I did."
We find Alec, Micah and Jason already there. The hybrid was tied with chains, his
hands above his head, while he hung from the ceiling.
There were heavier chains around his torso, thighs and ankles.
"You guys went all out, huh?" I ask no one in particular as I let go of Rave's hands and step a little bit closer.
"We couldn't take the risk of him escaping," Micah mumbled behind me.
"What do you want from me?" the hybrid asks, his eyes roaming over us.
I shrug. "Your name, for starters."
"I ain't gonna tell you my name, bitch," he screams, right before he spits, his spit landing near my shoes.
I look down in disgust before looking back at him.
"That wasn't very nice."
"You can go fuck yourself for all I care," he snaps. "Now, let me go before I tear you all to pieces."
I couldn't hold back the laugh. My hands were itching to teach him a lesson he won't ever forget.
"You couldn't manage to take me down yesterday. What makes you think you will today?" I scan his face. It's dirty, the cheeks are hollow, and he looks like he hasn't eaten for some days.
His eyes widen, before they shut down, and he throws me a hateful glare. "You are the bitch from yesterday? I swear when I get out of here, I'm going to make you pay."
"I'd like to see you try." I chuckle at his bravery. "Now, are we going to do this the easy way or the hard way?"
He doesn't answer; instead, he spits at me again.
"The hard way, it is," I murmur before turning to Micah. "Do you have any tools here?"
I didn't have to explain what tools I was asking for.
I watch Micah leave with a smirk, before turning to the hybrid. "Meanwhile, you
and I are going to have some fun."
"Bitch"
"That's just offensive; you are basically calling me a dog, and that's not nice, I remark, drawing closer to him. "Now, I'm going to start off with something easy. What's your name?"
"Go to hell."
"Wrong answer."
He doesn't see it coming when I quickly extend my claws, and slash the side of
his face, making sure it's deep enough to draw blood.noveldrama
He screams and struggles against the chains, but I don't stop there.
"Why were you in Alpha Alec's territory? Who sent you?"
"You cunt! You have no idea who you are messing with. I'm going to end you."
"Again, wrong answer."
This time dig my nails into his abdomen, before ripping a chunk of flesh from his side. His scream turns into a howl of pain, but to me, it's nothing but music to my ears.
en
Maybe being tortured by Alec and his pack for close to a month left its mark on
me, but I love reciprocating the same pain to others. Especially those who
deserve it.
It could also be my brain's way of seeking justice for myself. The justice I never
got while I was locked up in this same dungeon.
"Who made you?" I ask, once his screams begin to die down.
"Fuck you!" he yells, his eyes red and angry.
I sigh. They just never learn, do they?
What do you think?
