Chapter 120
"Your time is over," I declared, channeling my magic into a beam of light that surged toward her. "You will not take any more lives!"
The witch snarled, deflecting my attack with a flick of her wrist, but I pressed on, determined. “You may control some of them, but we're not going to stand by and let you destroy anyone else!"
As I focused my energy, Nathan and Tristan flanked me, their own powers merging with mine. Together, we formed a barrier of light that pulsed with our combined strength, pushing against the darkness that surrounded the altar.
"Keep fighting!" Nathan shouted to the other werewolves. "You're stronger than this! Fight her control!"
Tristan's voice rose above the chaos. "You are not alone! We will break this curse together!"
The tide began to turn as the werewolves around us, sensing the collective strength of our determination, broke free from their fear. Their eyes cleared, and they started to shake off the witch's influence, one by one.
"No! You can't do this!" the witch screeched, her voice shrill with desperation.
But it was too late. The energy we had created surged forward, engulfing her in a radiant glow that cut through the shadows.
"Your magic is nothing compared to our bond," I shouted, pouring every ounce of my power into our attack.
With one final push, the light exploded from us, a wave of purity that washed over the altar. The witch shrieked, her form dissolving into shadows as the energy consumed her.
The darkness shattered, scattering like smoke in the wind. In the aftermath, silence fell over the altar, punctuated only by the labored breaths of the werewolves as they regained their senses.
As the last remnants of her magic faded, I felt the weight lift from my shoulders. We had done it. Together, we had defeated the witch, her hold over the werewolves finally broken.
The air was still heavy with exhaustion, but I turned to Nathan and Tristan, tears of relief in my eyes. "We did it."
They nodded, their faces reflecting the same sense of accomplishment. We had fought against the darkness and emerged victorious. The witch was gone, and we could finally reclaim our lives and our pack.
But even as we celebrated, I couldn't shake the feeling that our journey was far from over. The cost had been high, and the scars of this battle would remain with us. Yet I knew that as long as we stood together, we would face whatever challenges lay ahead.
As the remnants of the witch's dark magic dissipated into the night, a profound silence enveloped the altar. The echoes of the battle faded, leaving behind an air thick with a mixture of relief and disbelief. We stood together-Nathan, Tristan, and I-breathing heavily, the adrenaline still coursing through our veins.
"Is it really over?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. The question hung in the air, heavy with uncertainty.
Nathan squeezed my hand tightly, his eyes searching mine. "I think so. But we can't let our guard down just yet."
Tristan nodded in agreement. "Let's check the entire altar. We need to make sure there are no remnants of her magic, no hidden threats left."
With a sense of determination, we moved as one, scanning the altar for any signs of danger. My heart raced with every shadow that flickered at the edges of the clearing, but I knew we had to remain vigilant.
We split up, covering more ground. The altar, once a place of darkness and despair, now felt eerily quiet. The stone walls, adorned with the remnants of past rituals, stood as a testament to the witch's power—but I felt a sense of hope rising within me.
As we searched, I couldn't help but glance over at Nathan and Tristan, their strong silhouettes framed against the night sky. They moved with purpose, their instincts sharp, but I could see the weariness etched on their faces. The battle had taken its toll on all of us.
"Clear over here!" Nathan called out, his voice ringing with reassurance.
"Nothing but old stones and memories," I replied, trying to keep my tone light, even though my heart was still racing.
Tristan approached, a glimmer of relief in his eyes. "Looks like we've managed to secure the area. No signs of the witch or her magic left behind."
As if on cue, a chorus of howls erupted from the surviving werewolves gathered at the edge of the clearing. Their voices soared into the night, a harmonious celebration of victory, echoing through the trees. It was a sound that sent chills of joy down my spine, reminding me of the strength of our pack.
"We did it," I breathed, my heart swelling with pride. We had faced insurmountable odds and emerged victorious.
The joy of the moment washed over me, and I turned to the twins, the weight of the battle finally lifting. "We really did it," I repeated, my voice filled with emotion.
They stepped closer, their expressions mirroring my feelings of triumph. Nathan's gaze softened as he brushed a strand of hair behind my ear. "You were incredible, Ella. We couldn't have done this without you."
Tristan nodded, his eyes sparkling with admiration. "You fought with everything you had, and you led us through this. You're the heart of our pack."
Their words sent warmth flooding through me, and in that moment, I felt an overwhelming surge of love and gratitude. Without thinking, stepped forward and pulled them both into an embrace. The world around us faded as we held each other tightly, feeling the strength of our connection.
"I couldn't imagine doing this without you," I whispered, my voice trembling with emotion.
With a shared glance, Nathan leaned
in, capturing my lips in a gentle kiss. It was a soft brush at first, a lingering connection that ignited a fire within me. Tristan followed suit, pressing his mouth to mine in a way that sent sparks of electricity racing through my body.
The kiss deepened, a passionate expression of everything we had fought for, everything we were. It was a promise, a bond forged in the heat of battle and tempered by the love we shared.
As we pulled away, breathless, I could see the joy reflected in their eyes. The moment was perfect, a culmination of our journey and the trials we had faced together.
"I love you both," I said, my voice firm yet tender, sealing the promise of our bond.
With renewed energy, we turned back to the gathering werewolves, who were still howling in celebration. Their joy was infectious, and I couldn't help but smile as I joined in their cheers.noveldrama
We had conquered the darkness that had threatened to consume us, and now, we could finally embrace the light that awaited us. Together, we would heal, rebuild, and continue to protect our pack.
As the stars twinkled above us, I knew one thing for certain: we were
unstoppable.
