Alpha's Second Chance

"You have been following me?" she says, and it sounds like a question, but I am pretty sure it's not.

"I needed to be sure you were safe," I say.

"Why did you hide?." She asks but sounds like she is afraid of what I will answer

"I am not sure, and I was a little afraid. You are a Princess, I am just an orphan, not even a warrior." I say, and she looks over my shoulder, without doubt at the two dead wolves.

"I would say you are pretty good to be one." She says, and I chuckle.

"You are welcome," I say, And we are quiet for a bit.

"I do not have a wolf." She says after a long time.

"I know, I smelled it," I say, and she is quiet.

"I understand if you don't want, I mean. I won't have problems. I know I am not the ideal mate,” she whispered.

"Stop," I say and look into her eyes.

"I have waited seven years, almost eight, for you, my mate. I do not care if you have a wolf or not. And from what I saw, you know how to fight,” I tell her, and a tear falls from her face.

"What's wrong?" I ask her.

"Everyone, except my family, has seen me as broken and useless. My first mate rejected me because of this."

"I told you, I am a nobody. I have nothing to offer, only myself and my skills," I tell her, but she just smiles a little.

I look into her eyes, and we stand like that for a little while. The temptation eventually becomes too much, and I kiss her again. First slowly, but when she didn't push me away, I deepened the kiss and felt her arms lock behind my neck. I softly push her up against the wall, so our bodies are all close, and a small moan slips out from her. I slowly let go and just looked at her.

"I know we have to stop. We can't do this here, and not now," I say, and she nods her head.

"I was going to find somewhere to sleep for the night. We do that, and we talk tomorrow," she says, and I agree.

ROSE

When I woke up, I saw the sun shining through the windows. But it had gotten late last night because of the attack. But also, I found my mate! Well, second chance mate, and he didn't reject me, and he seemed like he was afraid I would reject him.

I don't care what rank he has; for my sake, he could be a kitchen servant if it

meant he wouldn't reject me and leave me.

*PLING* *PLING*

The sound came from my phone, and I took it and looked.

"Dad, I'm fine," I say as I answer the call.

"What happened?" He asked, and I sighed.

"Some wolves here in this territory tried to attack. I was unfocused. I had a

strange feeling for days and was looking for a hotel," I told him.

"For fuck sake. Are you okay?" He asks.

"Yes, Dad, I am good. Someone helped me, Dad." I say, and I hear Mom coming

in. Dad asks why he got all mad, and he tells her.

"Are you okay, sweetheart?" Mom asks.

"Yes, mom. I say.

"That is good." She says mom has always been the calmer one.

They have been quiet for some time, and I am thinking about whether I should tell

them about Enzo and decide to do it.

"Mom, Dad?" I ask.

"Yes, sweetheart," Mom says.

"I found my second chance," I whisper and wait.

"Do you mean your second chance, mate?" Dad asks.

"Yes, I have had this weird feeling for a few days, like a pull, but I never saw him. He was hiding for me becaused am a princess. And he is an Omega wolf. He is from Alpha Leonardo's territory. He followed me for a few days. And he saved me last night." I tell them, and Dad is quiet.

"Ooh, that sounds like you had a busy few days," Mom says.

"Mom," I say.

"Yes, sweetheart." She answers.

"I don't think he will reject me. He was worried I would do it. But Mom, even if he

is an omega or is from Italy, I can't reject him.” I say.

"Of course not. I am sure everything will work out. And no matter what, we love

you. Your dad, too, is just a little shocked," she tells me, and I giggle. I can't help

it.

"Thank you, Mom. I love you, both of you." I say.

"We love you as well, sweetheart, and we don't care who he is as long he is good to you," Mom says.

"You got that right. Princess, thank

Mom says it is sad that he has been
