Chapter 95
Chapter 95
Bainbridge’s eyes blazed with crimson fire, his voice hoarse with excitement, “Yeah, thrilling.
Fanny let out a few playful giggles.
Wrapping his arms around her, Bainbridge said, “Let’s shower.”
Fanny clung to him, her lips skilled and knowing as she kissed him. He was her man, after
all.
How dare Vivien try to take what was hers!
In the bathroom, the sound of running water filled the air.
The warm mist coated the frosted glass as the couple entwined with reckless abandon, their pleasure mounting by the second.
The rush of water drowned out their intimate murmurs.
An hour later, Vivien lay on the couch, massaging her throbbing temples, and called out weakly, “Bainbridge?”
Silence was her only answer.
Struggling to her feet, she staggered toward the bathroom from where the noise emanated.
“Bainbridge!”
Her body slammed against the glass door with a loud clack, startling the couple inside.
“Bainbridge! Are you there? Bainbridge!” Her head spun hazily.
Clearing his throat, Bainbridge called out, “I’m taking a shower.”
Confused, Vivien murmured, “I need a shower, too. Let’s share!” While speaking, she fumbled with the door, desperate to join him. Bainbridge swiftly slid open the door, naked, and scooped Vivien into his arms. He kissed her deeply, with fiery passion.
“Bainbridge…” Vivien whispered, flushed with embarrassment.
“Let’s take this to the bedroom.”
Blocking her view, Bainbridge held her close, distracting her with kisses. His gaze flickered to Fanny, still at the bathroom entrance, signaling her to leave.
Annoyed, Fanny wrapped herself in a towel and stormed out of the room.
Once Bainbridge was sure Fanny was gone, he was left to contend with Vivien’s clingy affection.
Outside the hotel room, Fanny listened to Vivien’s exaggerated screams, seething with ragel
If she wasn’t the daughter of a coal mine tycoon, what chance would that fool Vivien have against her? The Sawyer family’s fortune of half a billion made her a contender!
Her eyes were malicious with intent. Fanny caressed her belly. This time, she had taken no precautions. She was determined to conceive.
Bainbridge was the heir to the Chadwick family, and she would hold on to him at all costs! It was at the Chadwick family’s summer villa the following morning.
Marina finished packing Howard’s suitcase. “Mr. Howard, a stay in the countryside could do you good. Fresh air and peaceful surroundings might be just what you need to recover. Who knows, you might be
walking on your own when you come back.”
“Fingers crossed,” Howard replied with a light smile.
Marina turned away to hide her tears. She knew the gossip mongers in Bayridge City were laughing at Howard. Staying any longer could only bring more hurt.
Gwendolyn placed her luggage beside his and packed the acupuncture needles. Once home, she’d insist on Enoch giving Howard a thorough check–up.

“Mr. Thomas, you’re here! I’ll take the luggage out,” said Marina.
Nathan entered, taking the items from Marina. “Let me handle that!”
In a few minutes, everything was packed into the trunk.
Gwendolyn and Howard settled into the car while Marina watched them leave, her heart heavy.
“Let’s stop by the hospital first to pick up Gwen’s grandma,” Howard said calmly.
Nathan chuckled. “Just keep ordering me around.”
As he steered the car, he remarked, “Last night, the high society of Bayridge City went wild! They were all over social media, mocking you, saying you’ve lost it and that you’ve given up. Except for Valor, he was the only one speaking well of you.”
“Are you enjoying this a little too much?” Howard’s tone was dangerous.
“No, sir! I’m mourning for their lack of foresight,” Nathan said, trying to smooth things over. “Check your phone. I sent you something.”
Howard glanced at his phone, his brows furrowing at the provocative images. Gwendolyn peeked out of curiosity, and her cheeks turned red.
“Snapped some shots of Bainbridge last night. Pretty explosive, huh?” Nathan gossiped, “Who would’ve thought he was messing around with another woman? He left the hotel with Vivien this morning. Two women in one night. Tsk…”
