Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 93

"I can't hear her, I can't hear her -" Alicia was desperately trying to get away.

Alicia rushed as she threw everything into the car and drove away quickly. The moment she successfully drove away, she felt relaxed.

She had perfectly avoided an attack. Oh, yeah!

She turned on some light music and returned home in a good mood.

Lindsay was still waving her hands behind Alicia. She was obviously a little out of breath. She thought, "Why did she run away so fast? I'm not a monster!"

With a burst of remorse in her heart, she turned back. Before even taking two steps, she saw two fashionable and beautiful young women chatting with smiles on their faces. Their hands were pointing in the direction where Alicia left.

"Hey, where did she get her earrings? I really like them! Those butterflies look so beautiful!"

"That's right! It's so fashionable! We can buy two pairs, one long and the other short. Then, we can make an asymmetrical match just like her. How great would that be! We should not have hesitated just now. We should have just asked her!"

"It's the first time I've seen such a delicate pair of butterfly earrings! I used to have one, but it has always made my face look big. Apart from going out casually, I don't have any other chance to wear it! I can't wear it at work as it's too ostentatious. But I still like it, thus, I still keep mine! She's so slim and elegant. She even has a beautiful face. I'm sure she looks good in everything..."

"But, from the sparkle and style, it doesn't look cheap at first glance either. I think we might not even be able to afford it even if we asked!"

"Now that you've mentioned it, it seems like we have nothing to regret! Sometimes, it also depends on fate to own something!"

Butterfly earrings? Upon hearing it, Lindsay's face changed. When she saw the two ladies pointing at their phones, Lindsay snatched it from them. Sure enough, the two of them took a picture of Alicia. The butterfly earrings on her ears were truly dazzling!

"Hey! Who are you? Why did you take our phone?" one asked.

"She's crazy! Is this a daytime robbery?" the other asked.

They snatched it back, and they were not in a good mood anymore. By this time, Lindsay became angrier.

She told the two of them angrily, "The girl in this picture is my friend! You've secretly taken pictures of my friend, and you have violated her privacy! Should I call the police?"

She yelled, and the two women were shocked. They quickly deleted the photo on their phone.

"Something's wrong with her!" they said.

They glanced at each other for a while before walking away quickly.

Lindsay was still at the same spot clenching her fists, her expression dark. Suddenly, she recalled the scene she saw two days ago. She seemed to remember seeing Jeremy's car parked in front of Alicia's workplace.

Could it be that the two of them have gotten back together?

Back home, Alicia placed the things she had bought neatly. Then, Alicia went to help her mother with the stall for a while. The business was good that day. Because of Alicia's arrival, Mrs.

Blanchard closed her stall earlier.

Normally, Mrs. Blanchard would close the stall at 8 o'clock in the evening when she was alone. After all, she was a woman. Safety was a priority for her. On that day, the two of them returned home at halfpast six.

"Ally, don't buy these foods in the future anymore. I can't eat all of it alone, and it would become a waste! Have you eaten? We have some food at home. I'll cook some for you! It won't take long!" she said. Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Alright!"

In the kitchen, Alicia felt a sense of bitterness in her heart as she observed her mother preparing the food.

"Mom, you should stop working at night in the future. Working for a whole day is so tiring! We are out of debt now. If I work more, we can then pay for Dad's medical bills..."

It had only been three years, but her mother's hands had gotten so much rougher.

"It's not tiring! I'll get bored if I don't do anything. I feel happy to go out every day, walk with the neighbors, and talk to guests occasionally too! I can even relieve your burdens! I only wish that your father gets better soon!"

Mrs. Blanchard took out the food as she said this. Alicia separated them into two bowls before they started eating. When they were almost finished, Mrs. Blanchard asked Alicia a question.

"Ally, are you... doing well?"

She knew what her mother wanted to ask. Hence, Alicia smiled sweetly.

"Of course, I'm doing very well! Mom, don't worry. Frederick treats me very well! Look, he just gave me a pair of earrings! It's beautiful, isn't it?"

Patting her daughter's head, Mrs. Blanchard also smiled. "My daughter is the most beautiful!"

Alicia held her mother's hand. After hesitating for a while, she spoke frankly.

"Mom, our relationship is still shallow, and I don't want to... have too much to do with him. No one knows what will happen in the future! But, I will live a good life every day. No matter what happens in the future, I will be good and filial to you! When I am rich, I will buy a big house and we will live there!"

"Silly child! I understand! Don't worry about me! I'm fine now! If you have time, go and see your father. Come back when you are free too. My life is peaceful and fulfilling! When your father gets better, I will be fine too! You have grown up, you will get married sooner or later! As long as you are fine, I will be happy too, do you understand?"

"Yes!" Alicia's voice sounded a little choked when she looked at her loving mother.

"Hurry up and eat! The food's getting cold! I've especially left the shrimp that Aunt McGowan has given us to you. I know you like it!"

While they were talking, there was a sudden knock on the door.

"It's so late. Who could it be? I'm going to open the door!" Alicia said.

After getting up, Alicia walked out first. When she saw who it was through the peephole, she rolled her eyes at once. As soon as she opened the door, a furious voice came.

"Who do you think you are? How the h*ll did you teach your daughter?" Lindsay scolded.

Alicia gave Lindsay a glance as her face darkened too.

"Be polite to my mother in the future! Don't you have any manners? No one asked you to come! I don't know who's the shameless one. You came without an invitation. You have continued to do so for over a year!"

"You're here! That's perfect!" Lindsay gloated.

When Lindsay saw Alicia, she got furious.

"It seems like I don't have to find someone to pass on the message! I am pregnant with Jeremy's child. We will be engaged and married on the 10th of next month! He is my fiance now! How can you hook up with him? Are you really that shameless? Do you think he will come back to you after wearing the earrings, making a phone call, and recalling the past with him? Quit dreaming! I am the only one in his heart right now!" she scolded.

Alicia sneered.

Alicia did not even want to look at her.

"Lindsay, are you having a delusional disorder, or are you out of your mind? Why are you here in the middle of the night? I'm warning you, don't come to disturb my mother in the future, or I'll sue you for harassment! Also, I'm not short of men at present, and I'm not interested in discarded garbage. Don't come to me whenever you feel insecure! I'm busy! I don't have time to serve you!"

"Are you still going to deny it? You are clearly guilty! There's evidence on your ears! B*tch—"

Lindsay raised her hand in anger. Suddenly, cold water was poured on her.

"Watch your mouth! You are barricading my door in the middle of the night. Who do you think you are? Get out of here! Our family does not welcome a brat like you! Not now, not ever!" Mrs.

Blanchard scolded.
