Black Rose: Revenge Of The Callous Heiress

Chapter 57

An hour later, the school bell rang and immediately all the students rushed out of the classroom. Rose, who was busy playing a game on her cell phone, hadn't heard the school bell because she had her headphones on. However, she raised her head up when she noticed

the figure of students passing by. She glanced out the window and saw that there were a lot of students which made her know that the school had closed.

A few minutes later, Rose noticed Sophia walking towards the car with a group of her friends. The driver quickly got in the car and opened the door for Sophia.

"I will see you guys later-" Sophia was talking to her friends when the driver opened the car door and she saw Rose sitting in the backseat. She was shocked to see Rose in the car because she had thought she would have gone home.

Sophia's friends who noticed the shocked expression on their friends' faces also leaned and glanced in the car. Their jaws nearly dropped to the ground when they saw a beautiful young girl sitting in the back seat. ""Who is that?"

"She is so beautiful."

"I've never seen her before?" They quietly whispered among each other. However, they realize that they were loud enough for Sophia to hear them.

Sophia clenches her teeth at her friend's comment. She swallowed her anger and turned to look at them. "I will see you guys tomorrow." She said to them with a smile on her face.

"What about the mall we all planned to go to today?" One of her friends quickly asked. As expected of daughters of rich families, they always made plans after school. Sophia and her friends had made plans to visit the famous mall today to get some things but she made it sound like they had no plans.

"Oh, I nearly forgot about that. Let's all just meet at the mall. Bye." Sophia answered her friend, waving at them and quickly scrambled into the car. She ordered the driver to quickly close the door.

"Sister, why are you here? I thought you would have gone home?" Sophia instantly asked after the driver entered the car and drove away from their school. She was slightly pissed at the fact that she had to meet Rose in the car and she had nearly stolen the attention she was receiving from her friend.

"I wanted to wait for you after I was done." Rose, who knew that Sophia was pissed, ignored it. Instead, she smiled innocently at Sophia.

"What?! Why would you wait for me? You should have gone home instead of waiting for me?!" Sophia was unable to control her anger and raised her voice at Rose. 'Loophole.'

Seizing the opportunity, Rose flinched and acted like she was scared of Sophia. "So-sophia, why are you raising your voice? Are you angry that I waited for you? I wanted us to go home together, I'm sorry if you didn't like it." Rose said, tears filling her eyes but not a single one fell down her cheeks. She looked at Sophia like she was hurt.

The driver who glanced at the two sisters through the rear view mirror couldn't help but shake his head in disapproval of Sophia's attitude towards her older sister. Rose had even skipped lunch just to wait for her sister but instead of a warm smile and 'thank you' she should receive from Sophia, she was lashing out at her sister.

"Young Miss, Eldest Miss was just trying to wait for you. I had offered to take her home but she decided to wait for you." The driver was unable to stay silent and watch Rose being bullied by Sophia, so he spoke up.

"And who was talking to you? How dare you interfere in my business?!" Sophia snapped angrily at the driver who immediately shut up. She was already pissed as it is and a mere driver thinks he can talk to her.

She rubbed her forehead in frustration before looking back at Rose, who still had tears in her eyes.

"Sister, don't take what I said too seriously. I was just surprised to hear you. I didn't mean to raise my voice on you." She said, her voice turned softer as she reached and grabbed Rose's hand.

"It's okay, Sophia. I understand you. And please don't lash out at the driver." Rose smiled sweetly at Sophia.

"Thank you, sister. You're the best." Sophia grinned.

'What a stupid fool.' She thought in her mind, seeing how it was so fast for Rose to forgive her.

"So, sister. How did it go with your exam? Tell me did you pass? It's okay if you don't, mom can still talk to the headmistress for you." Sophia asked as she adjusted properly in her seat. She was already expecting Rose to fail the exam.

"Let's get home, I will break the news

to everyone at home together. And I'm sure headmistress Moore would have informed stepmother about it." Rose calmly replied. Of course she knew what Sophia was thinking but decided to burst her bubbles at the dining table.

"Huh? Why won't you tell me? Aren't I your sister?" Sophia persistently asked, taken by Rose's response.© NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.

"It's not that. But I want everyone to hear it at once." Rose plastered a smile on her face.

"Oh, Sophia. I overheard you telling your friends earlier that you are going to meet them at the mall. You know I just arrived back in the country, so would it be okay with you if I can go with you?" Rose suddenly asked, changing the topic.

"Really? Sure, why not. I will let you know when I'm going." Sophia quickly nodded her head and smiled sweetly at Rose.

Rose said nothing except for nodding her head and placed her headphone back on head.

When they arrived back at the mansion, both girl got out of the car. Just like Rose had expected, Beatrice wasn't at home. She was out with the other wealthy ladies in the socialites, spending their husband's hard earned money.

Rose went directly to her bedroom

after Sophia told her that she would

call her when she was going to the mall where her friends were waiting for her However, for some reason, Rose felt like Sophia was up to something but didn't bother about it.
