Chapter 36 You just Need to Accept It
Travis buckled the suitcase and pulled on the lever.
He turned his head and took a deep look at the house in which he and Aleena had lived for some time
with some feeling.
He would always remember everything that happened in this house.
It was the most beautiful experience he had had in his life.
If... If it was still possible...
If he could find her...
Then, in any case, he would never let go of her, at any price.
One day, he would find her.
Travis locked the door, pulled on the suitcase and left without looking back.
...
Spencer was taking Aleena for a walk.
The two walked slowly side by side.
Aleena was lost in thought. They quietly walked side by side which seemed to have never happened
before.
He and she hurt each other before and there was not any tenderness and quiet at all.
She was not used to such way of getting along with. And she was tense.
These days, Spencer took care of her, and he would meet any of her request and idea. He was simply
obedient to Aleena.
If it was the previous Aleena, she would be touched by that. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
But now she was not what she used to be.
No matter how much he repented, no matter how good he was to her, the scars of the past still stood
there and could not be erased.
“I know what you're thinking. You're afraid.” Spencer spoke softly.
Aleena looked up at him and her body stiffened.
Spencer continued, “Don't be afraid, Aleena. You just need to accept it.”
Aleena said, “In fact, I don't think you have to do this. If you just want to make up for it, you can give me
a sum of money and let me go.”
Once the words were spoken, both of them were stunned.
The words seemed to lift all the clouds and everything became clear.
Spencer closed his eyes and suddenly broke into a low smile.
Yeah, why would he do that?
Make up? He could have made it up to her materially, given her a sum of money and let her go, or
given her child the best conditions...
Of all the choices, why did he choose this one?
Inseparable care, obedient attitude...
What was all this about?
Spencer's mind was now full of all the details of how he had been with her over the years.
It was incredible, but it was true.
He might have had a special feeling for her from a long, long time ago.
However he never noticed that.
Or maybe he was blinded by hatred and disgust.
When the cloud that covered his eyes lifted, he finally saw his heart.
He looked aside at her with a slow smile. “Thank you for reminding me.”
Aleena looked at him in confuse and did not know what he meant.
“I finally figured out why I do this.” Spencer looked into her eyes as if he wanted to look into her heart.
“Stop it,” said Aleena, “I do not want to know.”
“It doesn't matter.” Spencer bent his eyes and said, “I know that all this is to be done, not just by
talking.”
...
“Travis has returned to home?” Rosalie put down the newspaper and looked at her subordinates.
“...Good.”
Originally she was worried about Daphne who was double-faced, but now Travis returned home, she
had the chance to win. Maybe she could kill two birds with one stone and get rid of Aleena and Daphne
in the same time.
Rosalie nodded with satisfaction, “How is Spencer doing recently?”
“He stays in the ward every day.” The subordinate replied..
Rosalie narrowed her eyes.
Travis's return really made her save a lot of energy.
Rosalie made a plan quietly in her heart.
...
Daphne pestered Travis since she got the news that he would returned home.
After his return to China, his family began to put pressure on him, hoping that he could succeed the
family. Every day, Travis tried to escape the oppression of family, and his face turned pale.
“Travis, I am glad that you can come back.” His mother said, “Have you thought about other things?
Your father has been waiting for your news.”
Travis curled his lips, “He only had achievement in eyes.”
His mother was embarrassed, “Your father misses you.”
“If he does miss me, he will understand the choices I have made and adjust to our situation.” Travis
said, “Instead of focusing on himself.”
His mother sighed, “This is your home, don't you care about it?”
“I'm sorry, but I think she needs me.” Travis hung up the phone, feeling exhausted.
Why was he so stupid that he even thought they would repent?
What he did not realize was that in the bustle of people around him there were eyes watching his every
move.
