Breaking Rules

Chapter 6 (Part 2)

I just slightly smiled at her as I pulled my hands. It was the first time that someone talked to me, nicely. But it was just the same as before. I’m still having panic attacks. I slowly gasped. I bow my head and I was about to go when she talked again. I clenched my fist as I calmed myself.

“Anyways, I know about your condition, you have dysphemia, right? I’m sorry, I know it was rude of me.” my lips parted but I hesitantly smiled at her and nodded.

She smiled at me too. “You know what? I understand you, my mother is like that too. But she’s going on treatment so somehow she doesn’t stutter anymore.”

I averted my eyes from him. I don’t know what to say. I inhaled and exhaled to calm myself more.

“Don’t worry, I won’t judge you. Anyway, can we be friends?”

I was about to nod but someone called my name. I saw Azazel standing right in front of the door of our classroom. His face was so dark that I shivered. I swallowed as I stared at him. His murderous look is making me really tremble in fear.

Don’t trust him. I don’t trust him. Am I?

I bow my head to Kate before getting my things. I walk towards the exit, I tried not to look at him and just walked past him but he immediately yanked my elbow. He gripped it too tight. I quivered even more at what he did. I can feel his anger even though he hasn’t said anything yet. I can feel it through his grip on me. I want to say that I am hurting but I am afraid of him.

“See you next time, Seraphina …” I heard Kate say. I looked at her, I could see a smirk on her lips. She looked at me then at Azazel. I was about to nod when Azazel grabbed me. He almost dragged me away from there.

I didn’t know what to do. Almost every student at San Albereda University is already staring at us. I would have loved to struggle but I remembered people watching us. So I lowered my face and just let Azazel.

I clutched my books to ease myself.

We got in his car. My mouth is shut as I let him take me somewhere. He looks so mad right now and I’m really scared to disobey him. I hold my bag tightly in nervousness. I played with my fingers. Azazel sighed before pulling his car off. We stopped at the side of the road.

“Why are you talking to her?” his voice was weak but the anger at his question was obvious. I didn’t answer so I heard him curse a lot of times.

He slammed the steering wheel and then looked at me again. His jaw tightened as he looked at me intently.Content © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Did she tell you something?” I’m still not answering. His jaw clenched even more.

He cursed sharply again before he removed his seatbelt. And just for a moment, I felt his hand on my neck. I took a deep breath at what he suddenly did. He pinned me to my seat. The wind blew violently into his mouth.

“When I’m asking you a question …” he brought his mouth even closer to my ear. I can feel my tears swelling up. “… you fucking answer me. Hmm.”

His grip on my neck tightened so I quickly grabbed his hand there. “Understand?” he asked me hoarsely. And even if it is hard, I nodded.

“Good girl, baby …” I closed my eyes tightly to her whisper. His mouth hits my ear as if on purpose.

“Now. Answer me.” “Did she tell you something?” I shook my head.

“Are you sure, Sera?”

I couldn’t answer immediately again. His grip on me tightened more. “It’s bad to make me mad. Answer my question, Seraphina.”

My tears fell on my cheeks while my eyes are closed tightly. “S-She s-sai-i-d t-that-t d-don’t t-t-tru-s-st y-y-you.”

It was a miracle that his grip suddenly weakened. I quickly gasped for air.

“Don’t trust me,” he said in disbelief. Then suddenly, he laughed out loud. But it’s not a typical laugh of someone happy. It’s a laugh of a dangerous man. His laugh is so dangerous that it chills me on my every nerve.

He looked at me with a smirk on his lips. “That’s right, amore. Don’t trust me. Don’t trust anyone.”

He cleared his throat before starting the engine of the car. I calmed myself and wiped away the dripping tears. I sniffed before finally calming down. I simply looked at him in my peripheral vision.

The expression on his face is still the same, with no emotions. But his eyes were no longer furious. He is already calm, not like earlier when he almost painted his face red because of rage. Is he bipolar?

I shook my head in confusion. He seemed serious about driving where we were going.

Suddenly my heart pounded in my chest. Where are we going? Where is he taking me? I was suddenly confused.

That’s why he noticed me. He raised an eyebrow at me. I immediately looked away.

“Relax, Sera. I’m not going to do something bad to you. Yet.”

I bit my lips before nodding slightly. I couldn’t do anything but let him. I thought of doing something, it looks like we still have a long trip. My gaze landed on my bag. I picked up my sketchpad and graphite pencil. I simply looked around the car to find a subject. I stopped looking at Azazel.

He’s seriously driving.

I bit the tip of my graphite pencil while staring at him. Is it okay if I draw him? Whatever.
