Chapter 205
When Heidi and Simon were taken to an old estate, Heidi was still in shock. She had struggled against the foreign bodyguards during the ride, even slapping one of them before finally calming down.
Both were shoved into a grand hall. The interior was timeless and elegant with ornate furnishings.
There, they saw a Cruznian man sitting on a couch.
Louis, who had just returned, eyed Heidi and asked in Cruznian, "Are you Shirley Olson?"noveldrama
Why did everyone keep asking her that?
Heidi demanded, "And what if I am? Who are you? Do you realize this is illegal? Even abroad, you can't just kidnap people!"
Louis took a deep drag from his cigarette. "I'm asking you are you Shirley Olson?"
The intensity in his gaze rattled Heidi. The hall was filled with tall, imposing bodyguards. Sweat beaded on her forehead, and her confidence faltered. "I am..."
Louis narrowed his eyes. He had once seen Shirley, though she had deliberately worn heavy makeup at the time. But now, something about this woman didn't match.
He gestured to Santiago. "Take her phone."
"What are you doing? That's my private property!" Heidi struggled, but she was no match for the men.
After forcing her to unlock her phone, they found nothing useful on it.
As expected, she was a fake.
But if Shirley had given Heidi her unique brooch, then they must've met or at least they knew where the other lived.
Louis had always wanted to recruit Shirley. She had gained significant influence both domestically and abroad but remained elusive.
Now, with Heidi showing up, he saw an opportunity to use to locate Shirley. If Shirley wouldn't work for him, then he needed to ensure she wouldn't work for any other embroidery industry rival—especially since that could block Onley Group's entry into the Cruzia market.
"Miss, I'm more reasonable than my father, who tends to make people disappear without warning." Louis set her phone down. "There's no need to lie. I've met Shirley, and you're not her."
Heidi's pupils contracted in shock.
Simon gaped. "What? Is that true?"
Ignoring Simon, the man who wanted to ruin his ex-girlfriend, Louis said, "Just tell me who Shirley really is or where she lives, and you'll both walk free. Deal?"
Heidi, who was defiant and retorted, "Nonsense! I'm Shirley Olson! What do you want from me?"
To Louis, this meant she was protecting the real Shirley.
He smirked. "Why insist on impersonating her? Are you trying to shield the real one?"
Fine, then.
"Take her away," he ordered.
With that, Santiago signaled the bodyguards.
"Let go of me! This is illegal detention!"
Louis ignored her protests and turned to Simon. "Lock him up somewhere."
A pathetic man fooled by a woman wasn't likely to have any useful information.
"What has Zedrick been up to these days?" Louis asked.
"Mr. Zedrick seems to be investigating a woman from Cruzia."
Louis' mood soured. "His health is already failing, and he's still distracted by women?"
Santiago sighed. "There's nothing we can do about it."

Meanwhile, in Cruzia, the crochet industry was abuzz with
news-Janice Smith from Prosper Stitch Group had won the Best Crochet Piece Award at the
international competition.
The headlines dominated the domestic market.
Janice's fellow seamstresses were ecstatic, and they celebrated wildly at the company.
Wanting to mark the occasion,
Matilda remained at the company and reserved an entire restaurant for a celebratory dinner with all the seamstresses.

Upon hearing about it, Edward personally transferred money to cover the expenses.
