Chapter 1766
Chapter 1766:
After ensuring everything was in order outside, Moshe approached Errol with a report, his voice subdued.
“Mr. Happer, everything is ready.”
“Good. Let’s begin,” Errol responded.
Moshe wheeled Harlee, seemingly unconscious and strapped to a wheelchair, through the facility. Errol led the way, his eyes unlocking successive high-security doors.
Nola followed, her palms sweating, her mind torn. She had only wanted to leverage the Happer family’s influence to forge a path for herself, not to become complicit in a global threat.
As Nola grappled with her conscience, Errol had already navigated through several security layers and reached the heart of the laboratory.
In the laboratory, only a few scientists were present, each deeply engaged in their experiments.
Errol briefed them on Harlee’s unique physiology, and their faces lit up with excitement. They were particularly fascinated by her toxin-resistant body.
“Quick, Mr. Happer, bring our subject into the lab immediately. I’m eager to test our biochemical weapons on her!” one of the scientists exclaimed with anticipation.
At Errol’s signal, Moshe wheeled Harlee into the room. Errol was especially looking forward to seeing Harlee’s disoriented state upon awakening—it promised to be quite the spectacle. He was curious whether Harlee would manage to find a savior even in such dire circumstances.
Moshe, well-acquainted with Errol’s methods and the scientists’ zeal, quickly interjected,
“Mr. Happer, Harlee has been administered a double dose of sedatives. She won’t be waking up for at least five hours. We could all take this time to celebrate and then rouse her forcefully for the experiment.”

Errol gave a slight nod of approval. He had no concerns about Harlee waking up prematurely and escaping. The laboratory was equipped with a comprehensive alarm system that monitored movement, and her location was constantly tracked. It could be said that once Harlee was inside the laboratory, she was effectively trapped.
“Okay, keep me updated if she wakes up sooner than expected,” Errol ordered.noveldrama
Errol had spent the past month meticulously researching Harlee’s capabilities, so he wouldn’t be surprised if she woke up early.
Moshe assured him,
“Don’t worry. I’ll keep a vigilant watch over her.”
After Errol, Nola, and the team of scientists exited the lab, Harlee, dropping her act, snapped her eyes open. She noticed Moshe dozing off nearby. Silently approaching him, she waited for the moment he stirred and then quickly forced a specially formulated advanced sedative, provided by Serena, into his mouth. Within seconds, Moshe was unconscious.
Harlee then confidently strolled out of the small room, surveyed the entire laboratory, and casually sat down on a lab table, pulling out her phone.
Hmm… No signal?
She swiftly dismantled her phone, reconfigured it, and upon reassembly, restored the signal with a few precise taps.
Harlee quickly transmitted details about the laboratory’s layout, the biochemical weapons, and her current predicament to Rhys. After sending the information, she…
