CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1770

He didn't recognize Wilfred and dismissed him as some young guy trying to play the hero.

"Want to play hero? Take a look at yourself first. Get lost, or I'll call the manager and have you thrown out!"

To him, customers were ranked in tiers, and as a VIP who could afford an Ace of Spades, he considered himself in a league far above the average patron. Wilfred's gaze flicked over him, filled with disdain as though he were looking at a fool. Even the thought of engaging with him felt like a waste of effort. Wilfred turned to Karina and said calmly, "Go get the manager."

"Got it, I'll be right back." Karina, understanding the urgency of the situation, didn't hesitate and dashed toward the bar.

Seeing her run off, the man felt his pride take a massive hit, as though he had been publicly humiliated. His face twisted in rage as he swung a fist toward Wilfred.

But Wilfred wasn't just anyone. He had training, and dealing with a drunkard was no challenge at all. The thought of Karina's earlier tears only stoked his anger further.

If he hadn't shown up when he did, who knows how much worse the situation might have gotten for her?

It didn't take long for Wilfred to pin the man to the ground, leaving him with a fresh black eye.

When the manager finally arrived, the scene was chaos. The man was sprawled on the floor, visibly beaten, while Wilfred stood over him, calm and composed.

The manager hurriedly bent down to help the man up. "Sir, are you okay? Let me call you an ambulance."

The man, however, was seething. "What kind of bar lets just anyone in? Get these two out of here now!"

Earlier, the manager had been

entirely on the man's side, but now he hesitated. Both of them were customers, yes, but Wilfred's spending far outpaced the other man's, and his companion was one of the bar's top VIPs.

The man grew impatient and barked, "What are you waiting for?"

The manager had made up his mind. Helping the man up, his tone cooled. "We value all our customers, but you can't cause a scene like this or start conflicts with others. You're clearly intoxicated. I suggest you rest in one of our upstairs rooms."

"I don't want to rest! I want that girl to come over here and drink with me. Don't you understand what I'm saying?"

As the man's shouting grew louder, the manager waved to a couple of staff members. "This gentleman needs medical attention. Help him to the door and call for an ambulance."

The man protested fiercely but was no match for the two staff members who escorted him out.

The manager turned back to Wilfred, clearly looking to apologize. But Wilfred cut him off, his tone icy. "Save it. I'm taking Karina to a private room. Is that going to be a problem?"

The manager nodded quickly, "No problem at all."noveldrama

Without a word, Karina followed Wilfred upstairs. Once inside the private room, Wilfred closed the door and turned to face her.

"What are you doing working in a place like this? Are you really that desperate for money?"

Karina hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Yes, I am. Otherwise, I wouldn't take this job."

If she had other options, she would much rather have a regular nine-to-five job and a quiet evening at home than pushing a cart in a bar, dealing with drunk customers, and facing harassment.

Wilfred pressed further. "How much do you need? Name a number, and I'll give it to you."
