Desires Die Hard

Chapter 968

Chapter 968 Cindy Likes Raymond, But He Refuses Her

15 minutes later, the car stopped in front of the luxury store.

Anya got off the car and the bodyguard cleared the way for her.

As Anya walked in, she saw Cindy checking on the watches in front of a glass counter.

She walked over and said, "Morning Cindy, are you buy a watch?"

When Cindy realized that it was Anya behind her, she pulled her over and said, "Great, help me check on these men's watches."

Watches for men?

Anya raised her brows. There were two watches on the counter, each costing more than 60,000 dollars.

One was brown, another was black.

Both watches were suited for mature men.

"Cindy, who are you buying it for?" Anya asked.

Cindy picked up the brown watch and said, "Mr. Nielsen."

"How do you think about the brown one?"

Anya was a little surprised, "Are you ... already in love with him? So soon?"

"No, of course not," Cindy smiled and put the watch down, "I asked him to help with my father's condition, so he reached out to his old classmate from overseas, a cardiologist."

"I see. You freaked me out just now, I thought that you already fell for him." Anya took a deep sigh.

"Nope." Cindy thought that she should stop being willful. Dexter seemed reliable and also cared for her father. "So, which one looks better?"

"The brown one." Anya pointed at the brown watch.

"I prefer the brown one as well." Cindy then said to the salesgirl, "I want this one, please wrap it up for me and put a note in the box."

"Yes, Ms. Hood." The salesgirl nodded and went to pack the watch.

During the time, Anya asked, "When did you change your mind?"

"Well, last night, he asked about my father and I suddenly realized something. I should choose a man that cares for me and my family, not a man only with a pretty face. So I decided to give it a try." Cindy used to pay too much attention to a man's look and she learned her lesson.

Cindy liked Raymond but he refused her, even after she offer herself to him.

That was ridiculous.

Even if they got married, Cindy wouldn't be happy.

No one would want a marriage without love.

Cindy wanted to be loved and cherished.

Just that.

"Are you sure about this? Can you forget about Raymond?" It was good that Cindy became mature about marriage, but Dexter might not be as nice as he seemed to be.

And Anya wasn't sure if Cindy really let go of Raymond.

Cindy looked upset when Anya mentioned Raymond, but she recovered quickly. "I won't think about Raymond anymore. I'll go out with Dexter. And don't worry, I won't be engaged with him so quickly."

If Dexter was a good man, Cindy would be engaged with him.noveldrama

"OK, just think twice before making any decisions." Anya was a little concerned.

Dexter seemed honest, but it might not be how he really was.

Otherwise, Dexter wouldn't tuck his name card to Evan and tried to make friends with him.

As a college professor, Dexter didn't need connections with businessmen, unless he had other intentions.

Anya hoped that Cindy wouldn't be fooled by him.

"I know," Cindy pulled her hand and said, "When will be your wedding? So, I can start choosing a gift for you."

"About a week later, Evan told me. I'm not sure, he's on it. I'll let you know once the date is fixed."

"OK." Cindy nodded.

After that, they talked about the wedding until the watch was ready. Cindy took the gift box and was heading to the university.

Anya said, "I'm free this morning. I can go with you."

Anya wanted to meet with Dexter and check on him herself.

Anya thought that a bystander was always clear-minded.
