Don’t Fall for the Billionaire Lover

Chapter 1086

The Dragon Medallion from the Gilbert family was once exchanged between Suzanne and him. He'd kept it safe for years, then eventually passed it on to Chloe. But if he really thought about it, something didn't add up.

Suzanne belonged to Killian. Killian had spent his whole life chasing two things: revenge, and the legendary family treasure. The Dragon Medallion was the key to unlocking it. So the medallion Suzanne gave him years ago was probably a fake. The real one must still be with Killian.

Killian gave a slow, knowing smile. "You know a lot more than you let on, don't you?"

Nemo shrugged. "I know more than you think. For example, if this medallion ever breaks, the treasure's lost forever."

With that, Nemo reached inside his coat and pulled out two pink pendants-one was a rose-colored emerald, the other a pink emerald.

"So, since we have what you want, doesn't that give us a little bargaining power?" Nemo asked.

Killian's eyes narrowed, his voice icy. "Hand them over and maybe I'll let you die quickly. If not, once all the air gets sucked out of this place, you'll be begging for it."

Chloe stared in shock. When did her mentor end up with the pendant she thought she'd been carrying all along?

Killian's tone dropped even colder as he turned to Grant. "Grant, what are you waiting for? Bring me the key."

Grant, who'd been standing off to the side like a statue, finally moved. He reached inside his jacket and drew a gun, pointing it straight at Nemo.

"Forgive me, Master. Please give me the pendants."

Nemo looked completely unfazed. "You've pulled stunts like this before, Grant. Inever regretted taking you on as my apprentice, but it hurts to see you used as someone's pawn. You and I aren't so different.”

Grant didn't want to hear it. "Enough. Hand them over or I'll shoot."

Nemo just smiled, holding the pendants up. "So what's more important-my life, or your treasure?"

His expression turned serious. "If you're really here, that means there's a secret passage. Let us out and the pendants are yours."

Sadness flickered across Grant's face. "You're not getting out of here alive."

He never thought things would turn out like this. Deep down, he'd hoped this meeting would finally clear up the bad blood between the Sartori and Grevenberg families. But his father didn't care about peace. He only wanted to destroy all four families.

Now, the Nagel family was nearly bankrupt. The heirs of the Gilbert and Shaw families were trapped here. If they died, there'd be nothing left of their legacies.noveldrama

Nemo spoke up. "If we're all doomed anyway, at least let us see the treasure before we go. Dying surrounded by gold and jewels doesn't sound so bad." Grant stayed silent, glancing at Killian for direction.

Killian finally spoke. "Nemo, two pendants for one life. Since they belong to the girl, I'll let her go. Give her the pendants and Grant will open the vault. If it opens, she leaves. As for the rest of you-enjoy your final moments in the treasure vault." Cóntent
