Drunk and Daring I Kissed a Tycoon

Chapter 327

Even though it had been nearly 30 years since they'd last seen each other, the man standing before Wanda hadn't changed much.

He was older now, with wrinkles lining his face, but he still carried himself with the same air of elegance and had traces of the youthful handsomeness he once had.

He was the eldest son of the Locke family-he was Theodore.

Wanda had lived with Natalie at the Locke Residence for many years before leaving for university and eventually moving to Halewick.

Theodore looked closely at Wanda, his gaze sharpening in recognition.

The expression on both their faces made Vespera and Vernon feel... suspicious.

"You're Mrs. Hall's daughter... Wilma?"

Theodore finally pulled the memory from the depths of his mind, picturing a young, innocent face from long ago.

Inside, he was deeply shocked.

Wanda's heart raced wildly.

She had never imagined that after all these years, she would run into him again, and in a place like this, in such a way.

But since it had already happened, she forced herself to stay calm. She smiled and said, "Mr. Theodore, I'm not Wilma. My name is Wanda."

"Ah, right, Wanda. I mixed it up," Theodore apologized warmly. "It's been so many years. How's Mr.s Hall doing?"

"She's doing well," Wanda answered with a composed smile.

Theodore's gaze shifted back to Vespera. "Mr. Gildon-is she your daughter?"

Wanda kept herself steady. "Yes, she's my daughter."

Vespera caught the slight unnaturalness in Wanda's expression, and suddenly recalled Theodore's odd behavior at the restaurant that day...

She quietly pressed her lips together and glanced over at Vernon.

Vernon's face didn't show much of a reaction.

"Your daughter is very beautiful," Theodore said again, a sharp glint flashing briefly in his eyes.

"Thank you for the compliment," Wanda replied, smiling politely.

At that moment, Vernon spoke politely. "Mr. Locke, we still have some shopping to do, so we'll take our leave. Goodbye."

Since her husband had said so, Theodore couldn't very well insist on continuing the conversation.

He nodded and said, "Goodbye."

Vespera and Wanda also nodded politely in farewell.

The three of them pushed their cart away.

Theodore stood there, staring after them, deep in thought.

"Why did Mrs. Hall's granddaughter look so much like Mira?" he thought.

His breath grew slightly unsteady. Could it be...

He quickly left the supermarket.

After getting back in the car, Carly piped up. "Dad, chocolate!"

She grabbed his hand, searching for the treat, but finding nothing, she immediately started crying. "Buy chocolate! Chocolate!"

Theodore felt a headache coming on from her wailing. He quickly grabbed the box they had bought earlier and handed it to her, but Carly angrily threw it aside and cried even louder.

Trying to calm her down, he told the driver to hurry and go buy another box.

While watching the

...

Meanwhile, inside the supermarket, Vespera's mind was swirling with thoughts.

Especially when she noticed Vernon, who had said he was getting rice but somehow came back with a bag of millet.

And Wanda, who claimed she was grabbing milk but returned carrying two boxes of frozen ravioli.

Clearly, Theodore's sudden appearance had left the whole family rattled.

On the drive home, no one said a word.

Once they got back, Wanda immediately carried the groceries into the kitchen. Vernon went out onto the balcony to tend to his flowers and plants.

Vespera quietly put the scattered groceries into the fridge.

When she glanced toward the kitchen, she noticed Wanda had shut the door and was making a phone call, her expression extremely serious.

But with the door closed, Vespera couldn't hear a thing.
