CHAPTER 45
ALPHA ROBIN'S POV.
"Come on, you can't be asking that question. At least, not now," I told her. I was over the conversation with Anita. I did not like that she was insisting on it every time.
"I want to know what I can do to take her place. She is not deserving to be with you. I should be the one who has you," Lola explained.
"Let's change that subject matter, okay?" I urged. I was over that conversation already. I didn't want to expound on it.
I had my reasons for being with Anita but I couldn't tell her just yet. If there is one thing that I have learnt the hard way is putting cards close to my chest. I needed not to be open with anyone about my intentions. This is what had gotten me wrapped around Lola's fingers in the first place. In my quest to free myself from the shackles of her manipulation, I figured that I didn't have to reveal anything pertaining to Anita.
"Why? You liked me at some point Alpha Robin. What changed, huh?" She asked and I could see tears forming at the slit ends of her eyes.
"You are here now, aren't you. Trust me, we will be equally fine," I dropped what I was doing to go and reassure her and it worked.
"Are you sure about this? Please don't play games with me for I love you so much," She said.
"I am sure about this. It will be just the two of us in the end," I promised and finally she was able to wipe her tears away and smile.
While making the promise, I didn't think about Anita, I didn't want to feel guilty.
"When we are together, let's talk about us, don't keep on mentioning her, do you hear me?" I asked.
"Yes!" She nodded in agreement.
She didn't seem satisfied by my decision but I was not going to change my mind about it. This was the only way out.
"I have already told you how much I love and need you. Please don't ever break my heart," She added.
"I know. Trust me, moving forward, I would not do anything that would hurt your feelings," I promised.
**
LOLA'S POV
If someone had told me that I would be in this situation at the moment then I would laugh out loud and tell them that they are out of their mind.
The truth is that I knew that Alpha Robin and I would end up together until the good for nothing Anita came and ruined everything that we had.
She came and took him away from me. Alpha Robin loved her so much, she is the only woman who has been allowed to stay at his quarters and that screams a lot.
I had tried to completely get her out of the picture but it didn't work. She is still alive. As a matter of fact, we are planning a surprise dinner for her and I can't help but feel jealous.
It is hard seeing someone that you deeply love fall in love with someone else. It's hard seeing him doing all these things you ever wanted him to do for you, to another woman.
I had tried everything to break the two of them apart but it was not working. I knew that if I insisted on it then I was going to lose him. The best thing that I could do for myself is pretend that all is well just to be with him. Once I complete my plan on breaking the two of them together for good then I would open my heart to him and tell him how much their relationship affected me.
Patience is a virtue and I was willing to wait for their relationship to end. I was actually going to be the reason for them to finally break up.
For now I did not have a concrete plan but I gave myself time. When I finally strike back, they would not be expecting the impact. This would break their trust completely.
I had watched Anita closely and I knew for a fact that she loved him. She will not give up on him easily and that is why I had to take my time in the planning phase.
She might even forgive him if she finds out that I am still in the picture and that's why I need something bigger to separate them once and for all.
"Thank you for helping me set up everything. We have to head back so that I will be able to surprise her," Alpha Robin said.
"I hope that she will love it," I said.
"She will. She will be impressed," He said confidently.
"Okay, great. Have fun with her," I said that out loud despite the bitter bile that I tasted at the back of my throat.

"It's just for some time," He tried assuring me but I did not believe him. In fact, his assurance didn't do anything to my pain. I was immensely hurt by his actions.
We rode back home and he left me at a fair distance before heading to be reunited with the woman he loved more than he loved me.
I knew that I deserved better but still I didn't find it in myself to walk away from the situation.
Despite tears falling from my eyes, I wiped them away and told myself that I had to hold on a little bit more and hopefully he would be mine all over again.
"Where have you been? I have been looking everywhere for you," Ann said once I joined her.
"I went out for a walk," I said.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
"Are you sure you are okay, you don't seem fine," She said, paying close attention at me.
"I am okay," I mumbled.
If it's about Alpha Robin, let him go. He chose that woman over you. You can be with the Beta. He has always wanted you. It's high time that you be with a man who really loves you," She advised.
