Chapter 2389
Chapter 2389
"What's going on here?" Sophia blocked Crystal's way, her voice icy and firm.
"I told you, my necklace is missing. I suspect someone picked it up, and everyone in the room is a suspect!" Miranda declared with an air of righteousness.
"Then call the police!" Sophia retorted, her expression taut with anger.
"We're all classmates here, no need to escalate things!" Darcy sauntered over with a slick grin, "Just prove you didn't take Ata's necklace, and it'll be fine."
Eileen frowned, "And how exactly are we supposed to do that?"
"It's simple, club rules-everyone gets searched!" Darcy said.
Sophia was furious, “You have no right to search us! If you have suspicions, call the police!"
"Don't waste words on her, let's go!" Crystal said, pulling Sophia as they staggered toward the exit.
Just as they stepped out, they were stopped by the club's bouncers in the hallway.
Sophia reached for her phone to call the police, but Darcy swiftly knocked it out of her hand, picking it up with a smirk, "No need for police on my turf." "Give me back my phone!" Sophia demanded.
Miranda, clinging to Darcy's arm, smirked triumphantly, "Just let them search you, and if you're innocent, you'll get your phone back!"
"Search them," Darcy ordered the bouncers.
The bouncers advanced, starting to tug at Sophia and her friends' clothes. Crystal, known for her fiery temper, swung her purse at the bouncers. One bouncer was struck in the face and, in pain and anger, yanked Crystal's hair, slamming her head against the wall.
Sophia lunged, kicking the bouncer in the knee and stood fiercely in front of Crystal, "You've crossed the line!"
Darcy, with Miranda in his arms, laughed boastfully, "I'm protecting my guests' property. How else do we prove your innocence?"
Hilary, standing next to Miranda with
a malicious glint in her eyes, whispered, "Sophia always opposed you in school, and she's still defiant. She needs to learn who's in charge here. This is Darcy's place; no one will dare step in!" Content belongs to NovelDrama.Org
Miranda felt a surge of hatred and cooed to her man, "Darcy, they've always bullied me. You have to stand up for me!"
"Don't worry, with me here, I'll make sure you're satisfied," Darcy patted her face, then turned to the
bouncers. "It's not good to sea.n

He added, "Search them thoroughly, inside and out!"
The bouncers immediately moved to drag Sophia and Crystal towards the back room.
Miranda's smile was venomous and proud.

Zoey, watching from the side, felt it was too much and stepped forward to intervene.
Miranda blocked Zoey, "No rush, I know you've got your eye on Sophia. Once they're searched, you can have your chance!"
Zoey frowned, "Miranda, don't you think you're going too far?"
Romeo pulled Zoey back, "It's Miranda's necklace that's missing. We better stay out of it."
Hilary, watching eagerly, chimed in, "Exactly, they're protesting too much. Maybe they did steal the necklace!"
"Sophia!"
A deep, furious voice cut through the chaos like cold water on boiling oil, silencing the tumultuous scene.
In the midst of the commotion, Sophia turned towards the approaching man, her heart skipping a beat. She broke free from the bouncer and ran towards Jason, "Jason!"
Jason wrapped his arms around her, his gaze sweeping coldly over the crowd, his voice stern and commanding, "What is happening here?"Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.
