Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 1540

Janet strutted over to her desk with a smug grin, letting out an exaggerated sigh as she pulled out a few signed postcards from her backpack and spread them out on the table.

"I've got a few postcards signed by my brother here. Take a look, and if you see one you like, you can have it. One per person, and it's first come, first served."

With that, a small crowd quickly gathered around her desk, eager to pick through the postcards. Meanwhile, Fiona was sprawled over her desk, lost in a comic book, her lips occasionally curling into a secretive smile.

"Who grins like that just from reading a comic? Seriously, there's gotta be something off with her," someone muttered.

"Janet, doesn't she look like a complete fool?" Patricia nudged Janet with her elbow, wearing a smirk of disdain. "Look at her, acting like a total idiot."

Janet raised an eyebrow and glanced sideways. "What happened last night? Spill the beans."

Patricia didn't hold back, spinning a tale that placed all the blame squarely on Fiona, conveniently omitting the part where she had soaked Fiona's bed, forcing her to leave the dorm.

"So, you're saying Fiona didn't sleep in the dorm last night?" Janet asked, her tone cautious.

Then she remembered Allen's tweet from the previous night, and her eyes narrowed with a fierce glint. "I knew that schemer was up to no good!"

"What's the matter?" Patricia asked, confused, thinking Janet just had a general dislike for Fiona. "Fiona's just using her looks. Without them, who in Class 19 would even give her a second glance?"noveldrama

"That little minx must have gone to see Mr. Fitzgerald last night!" Janet fumed, caught up in her own whirlwind of anger. "She must have used Mr. Fitzgerald's influence to pressure my brother into tweeting that. She's only acting all high and mighty because of his money. Without him, let's see how much she struts around."

"No way, could she really sway Mr. Fitzgerald?" Patricia was skeptical, shivering as she recalled her own attempts to mess with Fiona the previous night. "He's probably just intrigued by her, plus, it's likely because of Nash. She can't possibly have that much pull."

"She's more resourceful than you think," Janet retorted, nearly grinding her teeth as she glared at Fiona. "There's nothing that woman can't do!"

Just then, her phone buzzed with a new message. Opening it, she saw it was from the group of thugs she'd hired to deal with Fiona, demanding more money. Irritated, she shot back a curt "No" and slammed her phone face down on the desk. Fiona, always Fiona, and here she was, losing both the battle and the troops.

"If you ask me, Janet and Nash are the perfect match. That Fiona should really take a look in the mirror and stop pretending she's someone important. It's infuriating!" Patricia added, trying to win Janet over by turning up her disdain for Fiona.

"Here, this postcard is for you," Janet said generously, handing Patricia a particularly beautiful card. "Make sure you give Fiona a hard time in the dorm. Don't let her have it easy."

Suddenly, Patricia seemed to remember something. She carefully fished an SD card out of her pocket and handed it to Janet, glancing around to make sure no one was watching.

"Janet, this is just for you. Keep it under wraps, alright?" Patricia instructed cautiously.
