Chapter 127~ Warm welcome
"Wake up, Mrs Kingsley. We are home," Ryan said gently, kissing the crown of Lora's head while she rested her head on his shoulder.
The private jet had just landed at the airport in Moonstone City, signalling the end of Ryan and Lora's honeymoon.
They had been away for a good two weeks, travelling from one island to another, creating unforgettable memories. Lora stirred in her sleep before stretching as she replied, "Mmmmm, that was quick. I wanted to sleep some more." "You can sleep when we get home, baby," Ryan remarked before helping Lora unbuckle her seatbelt.
"Yeah... it feels good to be back home but I'll miss the heaven we've just left," Lora murmured with a pout.
The past two weeks had been magical. Ryan and Lora had fun, exploring, watching sunrises and sunsets, moonlit swims or just having lazy afternoons in secluded villas.
It was like they were the only ones who existed in the world... it felt good to spend time together and they made lots and lots of love. But most importantly, they fell deeper in love with each other and grew closer than before.
"I'll take you for a vacation very soon... this time we can bring the kids along," Ryan promised, a loving look on his face as he stared at his wife.
He still felt like he was dreaming and if he was, he never wanted to wake up. This was the life he always wanted.

On their way to the mansion, Lora noticed that they weren't heading towards the Davis mansion. She glanced at Ryan and asked, "Don't we have to get my things first?"
"Don't worry, everything was taken care of while we were away. The twins moved into our home too," Ryan replied.
Lora's eyes widened as she said, "I had no idea... but thanks for making my work easier. I hate shifting."
Ryan held Lora's hand and brought it to his lips before placing a soft kiss on it, saying, "This is the last time you will be moving, my love. We are going to live in our home until death do us part." Lora smiled, resting her head on Ryan's shoulder. She remarked, "Our home... I love the sound of that."
The Maybach soon pulled up the driveway to the mansion and Lora saw the twins running out of the doors to greet them.
As soon as Ryan and Lora stepped out of the car, Ella and Ethan came sprinting towards them, their faces alight with joy.
"Mommy, Daddy, you're back!" Ella squeaked.
"We missed you guys," Ethan said as they both hugged their parents.
Lora and Ryan crouched down to hug the twins at the same time.
"My babies!" Lora exclaimed, hugging them tightly. Although she had enjoyed time away with Ryan, she had missed the children very much and was happy to be by their side once again. Ryan spread his arms around his family, his heart feeling full as he said, "We missed you too."
"Did you bring us anything?" Ella asked, looking up at Ryan who chuckled as he got to his feet.
He glanced at the driver who nodded and opened the trunk.
The kids rushed to the car to see what their parents had brought for them.
"Wow, this is so cool," Ella remarked when she saw the clothes and toys that had been brought for them. "Thank you so much!"
"Thank you, Mommy and Daddy," Ethan remarked happily. "We will treasure these gifts forever."
Ryan and Lora shared a look before smiling at each other. The gifts weren't expensive or anything, but seeing the smiles on the children's faces was so worth it.
"Ok, you two. Let's go inside, Mommy wants to rest," Ryan said and the twins followed them in.
The moment they walked through the door, a canon of confetti went off, filling the air with vibrant reds, pinks and blues.
"Welcome home, Mr and Mrs Kingsley!"
Ryan and Lora were taken aback by the sudden warm welcome.
Bianca and Diane smiled as they came into view. Diane hugged Ryan, while Bianca hugged Lora and whispered, "Look at you! You're glowing, my friend!" "What's going on?" Ryan asked, a look of confusion on his face.
"We decided to give you a welcome
party! You two found each other again in the end. True love has prevailed and we just wanted to do something special for you," Diane explained as she let go of Ryan and putted Lora into a hug.
Ryan and Lorą shared a look, their heart feeling warm at the sweet gesture. Indeed, despite the obstacles that had tried to destroy their love, they still found their way back to each other... this time, their love was stronger and nothing was going to come between them again.
Inside the mansion, Lora's parents, Charles Kingsley, Adan Nicholson and Aiden Davis were in the living room, waiting for the couple with warm smiles.
When they saw them, they all said in unison, "Welcome home, newly-weds!"
Freya Davis got to her feet and hugged Lora before turning to Ryan and hugged him too as she remarked, "It's good to have you both back. The kids have been counting down the days." Ryan smiled as he hugged his mother-in-law back and replied, "Thank you, Mom."
The room was filled with laughter as everyone listened to Lora and Ryan as they told them stories about their adventures.
"All I care about is if I'll be having more great-grandchildren soon," Charles stated. "Ryan, take Lora to the hospital tomorrow and take a pregnancy test."
Lora's face flushed pink as everyone chuckled.
"Grandpa..." Ryan narrowed his eyes. "Don't pressure us... we still need to enjoy our honeymoon phase."
"Nonsense! You can still enjoy while having more babies!" Charles argued.
"Says the man who has one son," Ryan remarked and Charles banged the table with his palm.
"That's why I want you to have more children so that the Kingsley family becomes bigger!" Charles said. He looked at Lora and uttered, "Don't listen to him... you can have even ten of them, I'll support them-"
"Grandpa!" Ryan groaned.
Everyone laughed while Lora blushed profusely.
They continued to chat about this and that, the atmosphere lively and filled with a harmonious spirit.
"Ok, enough talking. I'm sure you two are starving," Freya remarked, looking at Ryan and Lora. "Let's have some lunch!"
Ethan and Ella eagerly pulled their parents to the dining area where the table was set with a delicious spread of roasted chicken, fresh salads, mashed potatoes and plenty of beef.
As they all sat down to eat, Lora couldn't help but smile to herself.
This was how life was supposed to be- peaceful and full of happiness.

The next day, Ryan arrived at work and attended an emergency meeting arranged by the board members.
To his surprise, Jason was part of the meeting.
Ryan frowned and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Jason smirked and said, "I'm here because I belong here, dear brother. In fact, I'm challenging you for the CEO position."
