Pixie
Verena’s POV
When we arrived at his house my eyes wandered on it’s surrounding.
“Your room is besides mine and I already told Damien to buy you new clothes.” He said not minding the drips of water all around the house.
“Can I change now?”
“You can wear my tshirts and boxer shorts.”Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
I only gave him a long sigh but obviously he didn’t mind me.
“I’m going somewhere and you’ll stay here. That’s an order.” I watch as his blue eyes turned black.
His voice was so rough and soft. So composed and accented. So lenient in its delivery it slipped beneath my skin, melting the tension in my body like butter.
Yet resentment filled my heart.
Right, I’m stuck with this crude man.
But an idea pops on my brainy head.
I might try to escape rather feel sorry for myself later.
Damon faced me with his usual stubborn face.
“You’ll be safe here. When you need help shout for the pixies. They’re hiding somewhere.” He told me, heading to the door before he stopped in front of it and turned to face me. He was black from head to toe. His dress shirt. His tattoos on his that I’ve never seen before. His hair. Even the blue of his eyes was drowned in shadow unless close-up.
I was fascinated, and maybe escaping isn’t in my bucket list now.
It takes matter of minutes before his words resonated.
“Earlier I’m a witch and now I’m being guarded by pixies. Seriously?” I muttered in my own breath.
Feeling the cold I found myself walking through the stairs leading upstairs.
The squeak and creak of the old wooden stairs echoed around the house.
When I saw the a double doors room I knew that this is Damon’s room. I roam my eyes to see more rooms. But some are chained doors and besides Damon’s room with black painted room is not. So I guess that is mine.
“So you’re the pretend mate.” Said by a deep voice.
I quickly turned my back to where the voice came but I didn’t saw anyone.
“I’m down here dumb girl.” It grumbled.
I shreak trying to figure out the little green shit that’s staring at me.
A humanoid creature about the tall of a ruler greeted my eyes. It’s head has little antenna that are attached in its green hair. It has long limbs and this terrifying thing has green colored body.
I stumbled and fell to my ass, the fright and shock got me. My whole body stiffened. I clenched my sweaty palms.
It started walking towards me using its little feet.
“What the hell are you!?” My eyes widened when it started flying using it’s floppy wings.
“Didn’t the dog told you?”
“Told me what.”
“That a pixie would guard you.”
“Are you pixie?”
“I’m a pixie and my name is Aneera.”
Is that even a girl or boy name? But the deep voice sounded eathreal.
“Y-you have a name?” My hand flies to cover my mouth.
“That’s what I said.” It rolled its gray eyes then it smiled again.
This is so creepy.
The looming eyes stared at me while I help myself to get up.
“I’m going to change.”
“I don’t care.” It sneered like a toddler whose having a daily tantrum.
“Are you going to come in?” I asked waiting for any response.
“No, the dog won’t be happy when I’ll get to see your body and he doesn’t.”
My cheeks heated from its remark.
“So you’re going to stay there like a cell guard?”
“No I’ll probably just sleep. Don’t ever try to escape you don’t want to compromise your life.” My eyes squinted from its little warning.
“Because of unknown monsters right?” My voice drawled.
“The things he can do to you. He is named as Damon isn’t he?”
“Because it rhymes with demon?”
“No because it doesn’t rhyme with demon but yes because he is a demon.”
My brows furrowed. Everyone seemed so afraid of him.
“Why is that?” My curiosity got me. Even if my body is still wet and my fingertips crinkled I wished to know who I’m supposed to submit myself into.
I know that Damon is very mean and from judging him I certainly have a feeling that he likes to torment other people. Jerk.
“He linked my blood into this house. He killed my siblings and now I’m unable to get back to my family and my home.” Its quivering voice wants me to tear.
Demon Damon is pure evil. He is a disgusting creature. His doings particularly made them terrified of him.
“Is there any possibilities for you to escape?” I asked the pixie but its lips only quivered from panic that stretch across its face.
“End him.”
“I should run away.” My breath trembles as my body.
Out of nowhere
“You’ll need this.” The pixie handed me a silver knife. The knife reflected the mess in my face. Where did the knife came from?
I bit my bottom lip. I’ve been a fighter since birth. And if I escaped the guards in the orphanage or faced deathly missions, I know I can do this. Except that I’m facing nutcase monsters rather than humans.
“I won’t interfere. Damon should know that sometimes changes could be done.”
I turned around, then raced down the cramped stairwell, then out through an open doorway, into-
My brows furrowed when the thick flakes of snow slowly drifting down. A thin layer already blanketed the ground and coated the bare trees. It was so silent, and everything was clean and untouched.
Snow. It’s snowing.
As I remember a while ago I felt the breeze of the spring.
“This can’t be. It’s impossible.”
I ran toward the woods. In the back of my mind, I knew I wasn’t prepared to make an escape. The clothing I was wearing was too thin, even if it wasn’t also torn nearly to shreds. I had no idea exactly where I was or where to go from here.
“It’s not impossible with magic. But it’s impossible for you to fucking obey me Kinzhe. You should be punished.” The cold voice. It’s Damon.
When I turned to him, my lips quivered. My blood boiled.
“Fuck baby, your horns are showing. Shit.”
I could never let this man control my life. I should get back to Linda as soon as possible.
My heart cracked wide open, pouring icy slush into my chest. I would always be cold, from here until the end.
“Verena”
His voice rang on my ears.
I twisted in his arms, moving on instinct. I didn’t feel the cool hilt in my hand, but I felt the blade sink into his chest. I felt his warm blood splash against my fist as the hilt of the dagger became flush with his skin. Slowly, I lifted my gaze to his.
His ocean-colored eyes widened in surprise as he held my gaze for a moment and then looked down.
To where the dagger protruded from his chest.
From his heart.
“I’m sorry, I hope you’ll made up your mind to let me go.”
“No the fuck you’re not.”
I ran toward the woods. In the back of my mind, I knew I wasn’t prepared to make an escape. The clothing I was wearing was too thin, even if it wasn’t also torn nearly to shreds. I had no idea exactly where I was or where to go from here.
I know Damon is fast. But the wound on his heart will kill him.
I stabbed him.
I made sure to stab him in the heart.
He should die by now.
I had to run fast as I could.
An arm circled my waist, catching me mid-run. I shrieked as my feet slipped out from under me, but I didn’t go down. I was hauled back and slammed into a hard, warm chest. My feet dangled nearly a foot from the ground.
Shock stole the very breath from my lungs.
I turned to elbow him in his chest.
I hit him hard that send him backwards.
“You think you’ll get away if you end me?” He hid his fuming mad face away from me.
He stood there with his back turned, his rapid breathing in sync with mine, then he turn to face me. He let out a low growl of what seemed like both relief and anger.
He took one step forward towards me, my whole system stiffened. My heart drum inside my chest and my breath hitch with excitement and fear.
“You don’t make people obey you all the time!” I squeezed my eyes shot for the unknown remark that came out of my mouth.
“Oh baby, I live for hundred years and I made all of them bow down on me.” His eyes blazing with anger and frustration.
“Guess what? I’m not one of them.”
He stood only few inches away from me, he looked at me dead in the eyes and spilled a mutter that seems to be a little prayer. My body froze, in a blink of an eye he held my arms above my head my body pinned against the ground.
“Leave again or you’ll lose your head with your pride and virginity, Kinzhe.”
Did he just called me “kitten”.
