Chapter 0053
To say he had been in a bad mood all week would be an understatement for Tobias's case.
Firstly, due to low concentration, he had messed up a multimillion dollar contract, which resulted in a huge loss for the company.
Then, the drama with Amara happened, completely throwing him off his game in way he did not expect. And as if to add salt to wound, he learnt that Amara had trashed the flowers he sent, instructed security to never let him in and even blocked his number. What a wonderful fucking week it was for him!
So, imagine how much more 'wonderful' the week got for him, when he walked into Giovanni with Harvey, the one other person who could be considered a close friend with him, apart from Helios, and witnessed the scene between his ex wife and that scumbag. The moment he saw her, his blood boiled.
Just what the fuck was she doing dressed in a such a way? And why the fuck was she being so touchy with that man?
Tobias's grip on his glass hardened and his eyes darkened as he watched them talk.Material © NôvelDrama.Org.
"You're going to drill a hole in her head if you keep that stare up." Harvey spoke beside him and Tobias shot him a glare to which he quickly held his hands up. "My bad, I shouldn't have said anything."
Silence once again descended on their table, the silence lasting for about a minute, before it was interrupted by Harvey once again.
"But what is she doing with that Bastard?" Harvey who was aware of Amara's past relationship with Tobias, couldn't help but ask, tilting his head in the process. "Not that I'm against her meeting other men, but him? Does she have a death wish or something?" Genuinely, for the time since walking into the club, Tobias looked at Harvey. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"That scumbag right there," Harvey pointed his glass in Jason's direction. "He's the worse of the worse. Drug, prostitution, rape cases, you name them, he's involved in them all."
This new information had a feeling of worry sipping into Tobias's chest unconsciously.
While Harvey muttered a few more things, he glanced back in the direction where Amara was sitting to find her alone.
She tinkered with something for a
few seconds, smiled to herself and then stood up. But the shock in her face was evident as she turned
around and was met Jason face to
face.
For some reason, Tobias shifted to the edge of his seat, silently watching the interaction that went on between them as if waiting for his time to step in. "Shouldn't you do something?" Harvey asked when he saw Jason getting all touchy and Amara's expression displayed nothing but disgust.
"No, She can handle this on her
own." Tobias's replied, although his body said otherwise and the
moment he saw Jason pulling Amara out of the club, he shot ho from his seat.
Ignoring Harvey's chuckles and some other incoherent words, Tobias followed the two, however, he seemed to have lost them. He stopped and surveyed the surrounding, about to head back inside and check with the security team when a voice cursing caught his attention.
"Fucking bitch." The voice, which Tobias for some reason assumed belonged to Jason, growled.
Without so much as thinking, Tobias walked in the direction the voice was coming from, only to come across a rather distraught looking Amara.
When she bumped into him, practically collapsing in his arms, Her eyes were glazed over and her legs shook a little.
"Tobias?" She mumbled and frowned, the dizziness clouding her thoughts and judgement.
Tobias's brows creased as he looked over her. Once again, worry sipped into his chest as he noted how pale her skin was and how weak she was behaving. Almost as if... "You've been drugged." He concluded and without a second thought, Tobias scooped her into his arms and walked away.
