Ellis was standing against the large glass wall, looking at the vast forest, but | saw how his back stiffened when he sensed me. He turned around and gave me a tiny smile that warmed my heart.

He opened Solara’s mouth gently by holding her cheeks with his fingers and frowned when he looked at her little teeth.
