Chapter 926 Family Will Return (Part Two)

Chapter 926 Family Will Return (Part Two)

Cherry felt bad for her son. She sighed and replied, "No, don't worry. I don't think we will leave again.

Our home is there and that's where we'll stay. Your father has already handled all international affairs of

the JC Group. After everything goes well, he will transfer his power to you. Then we will both retire." As

she said this, she was worried for her son. She knew how stressful this was all going to be for him. But

at the same time, she knew that Lawrence was ready. She knew that her son was capable enough to

handle the things that will be handed down to him. Besides, something could only be decided by her

son.

Lawrence closed his eyes and took a deep breath, promising, "Okay, mother. You and father should

just stay at home and enjoy your lives. I will handle our company, I will make sure to continue all that

you and father worked hard for."

"Wow! Very confident," Cherry laughed as she lightened the mood.

This made Lawrence smile more. He pictured his mother smiling and laughing and it made him look

forward to seeing her again.

Cherry then proudly said, "My baby, my son. Lawrence, don't worry. I'll be with you from now on. We

won't be apart anymore. We're family and we will always be together."

"Yes, mother. I agree. We won't be apart anymore." Lawrence's voice broke as he continued, "I can't

wait to see you, father, and Violet again."

They finished off their conversation with a good bye. Lawrence looked outside and felt relaxed and

contented. He could not help but smile. His family had always made him feel safe. They had always

given him the support that no one else could provide. He longingly reminisced his memories with them.

His memories of his childhood was not all clear. But he vividly remembered the time when he was just

five years old and he was living abroad with his mother. His mother had always been strong and

independent. She raised him on her own, refusing the help of her own parents. She was the most hard

working woman he knew. His uncle often accompanied them, acting just like his father. Back then,

Lawrence had hoped that his uncle could truly be his father. But he never mentioned that to his mother,

because he did not want to annoy her. He also did not want to force her to do anything she did not want

to. To help his mother, he observed everything quietly. He considered things carefully. He learned from

all these. He was very determined to be the best because he believed that this was the only way he

could help his mother. This was the only way to relieve her of some of the burden she was carrying

alone.

After they returned to the city, they met his father. Lawrence saw the tears and the smiles of his mother.

He finally saw her happy. His father had been a very powerful man since then. He grew up with a loving

mother and an influential father. He also met his great-grandfather who had spoiled him too much.

Looking back now, he realized he could not remember his great-grandpa's face. Try as he might, it was

all vague. But he remembered clearly how much his great-grandpa loved him and it made Lawrence

miss him terribly.

Lawrence treasured all the time he spent with his mother. But there came a time when he made

mistakes. He was young and he could not forgive himself. He felt ashamed so he ran away and gone

abroad. When he saw his little sister crying, it felt like a knife cutting through his heart. He wanted to

take away Violet's pain, he wanted to give her all the happiness she deserved. She was their little

princess, the apple of his family's eyes. He hated anyone who caused her harm. But he was sad that

he had unintentionally and indirectly caused her childhood suffering and he could never forgive himself

for that. He knew that the accident had totally changed Violet's life. This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.

Lawrence could not handle his regrets. He knew he should make up for them, but he did not know how

to face his little sister. Therefore he ran away and left his family. He had been a coward. But when he

was living alone, he missed his mother terribly. He had always wished to be with his family again. He

knew he had taken for granted all of the things and all of the people he loved the most.

Lawrence eventually grew up and became matured through it all. He became stronger. Everything was

changing and time flew by, and before he knew it, he was a different person. He learned a lot and had

been even more powerful. But deep in his heart, he was still longing for his family. They were still the

most important people in his life.

Standing on the balcony, Lawrence smiled wistfully as he remembered it all. He lost track of time and

forgot about where he was and who was waiting for him. He was brought back by the vibration of his

phone in his pocket. He shook his head and looked at his phone. He saw that it was a text from Mike.

Lawrence suddenly recalled that he was still in the bar and that Mike was downstairs waiting for him.

He read his friend's text, "Greg is here. We're waiting for you in the private room. Come back down

after you're done."

Lawrence had to read the text over before he understood. He remembered their conversation from

earlier, before his mother called. Sighing, Lawrence put his phone back in his pocket. He calmed down

and turned to leave.

Lawrence did not need to ask which room Mike was talking about. He knew where they were. There

was a room in the bar they had always used privately. It was a room they could take whenever they

wanted and it was only given to them.

So Lawrence went to their private room. He opened the door and stepped inside. Mike and Greg were

already drinking by the time he got there.

Mike looked up as Lawrence entered, "Hey, you're back."

Greg immediately asked, "Hey, Lawrence. What's going on? Mike told me you were pissed." As

Lawrence sat in front of him, Greg looked at him and continued, "But you don't look pissed at all?"

Mike was still looking at Lawrence. He fixed his gaze on his friend, his brow furrowed. Lawrence's face

looked cold, as usual, but he did not look angry anymore.

Bemused, Mike tilted his head and asked, "What happened? Why the sudden change? You don't look

as terrible as you were earlier. You has been so sad and angry. I guess that phone call changed your

mood?" Mike badgered on, "Come on, tell us. Was that Aria? Was she the one who called you? So will

she be going here?"

Lawrence had no plans of explaining what happened. He just looked straight ahead as he drank from

his glass.

Greg decided to implore some more, "Look, Lawrence, you don't have to be angry because of Aria. I

assure you that she will eventually come to you. She won't last a week without seeing you. We all know

how much she loves you."

Mike looked at Greg and nodded, "Yes, he's right. Aria's obviously yearning for you. How could she

possibly decide to leave you?"

They were taking turns as they tried to persuade Lawrence. Greg was nodding as he added, "Just look

at it this way, Aria's angry with you because of your affair with Anna. Why would she be angry if she's

not jealous, right? So it's evident that she cares for you very much."

Again, Mike quickly nodded in agreement, "Yes, that's correct. I mean it makes sense, Lawrence.

You're right, Greg. Quick thinking, huh."

Greg looked at Mike and smiled, "You know I think I've learned a lot from you. I hope I could still learn

more."

Lawrence rolled his eyes and wanted to kick them both out. He could not bare to hear them flattering

each other. He noticed Greg's smile. Suddenly, he hesitated. He wondered whether he should tell Greg

that Violet would be back soon.
