Chapter 34 Who Won
Chapter 34 Who Won
"That white T-shirt" Quincy Lane casually chose one.
Vicky Shepard threw a glance at it. The white T-shirt that Quincy had chosen was even more expensive
than the one she had by 300 yuan. Her anger grew intense and said, "I'll take that 2000 yuan ripped
jeans."
In fact, Quincy could have conceded defeat at that point. However, he decided to play with them as
Vicky and Vincent Johnson just mocked him.
"Pack up that pair of slack for me!" Quincy instructed Jessi. The pair of slack was more expensive than
Vicky's by 100 yuan.
Vicky was getting pissed off, her breathing became ragged, "Pack up that pink long sleeve!"
"Pack up that little silk shirt."
"I want that long and elegant dress."
"Pack up that western-style suit."
"Pack up that vermillion vest skirt."
...
Back and forth, they've already bought six or seven clothes each. Vicky was irritated at an extreme
level.
Vincent was even more furious as Vicky had bought clothes that was worth over 10,000 yuan. It was
entirely out of his expectation, but he was too embarrassed to stop her. After all, his "bold words" was
out at first. He could only swallow his anger.
"I am not that rich. I quit," at this point, Quincy admitted his defeat.
Vincent was relieved, if Quincy continued to go back and forth with Vicky, he definitely couldn't help but
stop him.
"Haha, you can't take it anymore, huh? Quincy, I told you that you couldn't compare yourself with my
boyfriend just because you hit a lottery. He's a real rich kid. You are out of money now, right?" Vicky
said proudly.
"True, I can't compare to him," said Quincy indifferently to Vicky, who was grumbling.
"Don't think that you're a big shot just because you won a 100,000 yuan lottery. You are always a loser,
understand?" Vincent arrogantly pointed a pinky at Quincy.
Then, he looked at Jessi and said, "We spent over 30,000 yuan today. Even though this is a high-end
women's clothing store, you don't have many customer buying so much at once, right? Where's your
boss? Doesn't he want to meet us since we spent so much here today?"
"Ah... "Jessi subconsciously looked towards Quincy. Quincy shook his head gently. Jessi said to
Vincent with a polite smile, "Our boss is not here today, sorry."
"Alright then," Vincent wanted to take the opportunity to befriend the owner the store. The owner of the
luxury store must have been competent.
He felt disappointed as he lost his hope to meet the boss. He packed up the clothes that Vicky bought
and left with their heads held high.
Jane Dulce was overwhelmed that Quincy bought her so many clothes. Jane rejoiced when she heard
Quincy told Jessi that she could return the clothes she didn't like. Hence, she only kept one dress with
her and returned the rest.
When that happened, Quincy smiled bitterly inside. He wouldn't say that if he knew this would occur.
Quincy asked Jane to put the new clothes on in the changing room. Jessi then gave Quincy a big
thumbs up, "Boss, your marketing strategy is brilliant. The money that those two customers spent is by
far the most this week!"
"Er…" Quincy looked dismayed. He was forced to go back and forth with Vicky. Jessi thought it was his
marketing strategy instead.
"Give them a 20% discount the next time they visit." When he thought about it, he felt rather unkind to
"screw" Vincent for over 30,000 yuan.
"Why? They seemed like not our regular customer. The boy's face turned green, and he was sweating
when his girlfriend bought the seventh dress. I think there's no need to give a special promotion for
them." As a manager, Jessi was thinking entirely in terms of the store's interests.
"Just listen to me," Quincy just wanted to feel better inside.
"Yes," Jessi could only agree. Jessi was curious, "Oh, boss, why don't you tell your girlfriend that you
are the owner of this shop?"
"You talk too much," Quincy responded. Since Quincy was in a pretty stable relationship with Jane, he
didn't want to do anything that might affect it. He will open up to her when the time came.
By then, Jane had already changed into her new dress. She was wearing the same off-white dress.
She looked pure and elegant. With her fair and delicate skin, she looked incredibly charming.
"Hey gorgeous, may I have the honour to have a dance with you?" with his head holding high, Quincy
extended his hand to Jane in a very gentlemanly manner.
Jane was in a daze. She smiled lightly and handed her hand to Quincy, "I'll give you a chance."
At that time, Jane felt like a noble lady at the ball. It was a feeling that no one had given her. She
became more attracted to Quincy.
Quincy held Jane's hand, but they did not go for a dance. Instead, they went out for a stroll. Jessi
engrossed watching by the side. She smiled and murmured, "What an enviable couple."
Quincy wanted to take a cab to school, but Jane said a bus would do. In the bus, the two of them sat in
the last row. Quincy was holding Jane's hand tightly. Jane's hair brushed his face when the wind blew.
How he wished the bus would never stop.
When they got off the bus, Quincy was about to discuss when they will move into the villa with Jane.
At that time, Quincy received a call from Mr Amir. He intentionally went aside to answer the phone call.
Mr Amir gave Quincy a call to remind him to participate in the event which was held at the Art Building.
Quincy had no interest in the events organized by the school. Hence, Quincy turned him down.
"Oh no, young master. This is also a family test for you. If you don't go, you won't get any grades this
time. The consequences could be dire!" Mr Amir advised in a long-winded manner.
"Didn't I already pass the test?" Quincy said hurriedly.
"You did pass, but it doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want after that. To guide you, the
family will still conduct raid tests from time to time. If you can't perform, there will still be a
corresponding punishment. Young master, you mustn't take it lightly," said Mr Amir solemnly.
"Alright, I'll attend it," said Quincy depressingly.
The family was indeed harsh to carry on inspection on Quincy for the last seven years. And here came
the raid test again, he was having some hard time.
Quincy wasn't happy, but he understood the family's approach. Being one of the wealthiest families in
the world, the descendant must go through all types of trials and tribulations. Otherwise, their family
would not have been able to sustain for hundreds of years without declining.
"Jane, I'll take you to the Art Building," Quincy didn't want to be separated from Jane for a moment.
Moreover, Jane looked gorgeous in her new dress. Quincy wanted others to admire her. He wanted
Jane to be confident about herself.
"Okay," Jane nodded. She was delighted when Quincy was by her side.
Quincy brought Jane with him to the Art Building. The building looked artistic. Often, students would
declare to the school to hold events there.
At that time, a small stage was set up in the lobby of the Art Building. Stereos, flower baskets and
ribbons surrounded the scene. There were people adjusting the lights, and the hosts in tuxedo were
rehearsing.
Five rows of 10 columns of chairs were arranged in front of the stage for the arriving guests.
Quincy and Jane sat down in the last row.
By then, a few guests were already seated. From the moment Jane entered the hall, they started
whispering.
"This girl is gorgeous, which tycoon's daughter is she? Look at her. She is so classy!"
"She looks like a celebrity. If she makes her debut, she would be more eye-catching than Crystal Liu."
"Who's that loser next to her? Why is he with my goddess? I want to kick his ass!"
"He's probably helping the goddess to throw her garbage. The goddess looks so kind. I'm sure she's
trying to help him out. She is giving him a chance to earn some money."
...
Jane was the centre of attraction with her new dress on. She could draw so much attention from the
crowd even when she sat quietly at the last row.
"Are you… "said a girl who was puzzled. When Jane turned around, her jaw dropped, "Jane! It's you!"
"Anne Poole, you're here too!" Jane greeted Anne, who was from her hometown. The two of them
came from a small county in the northeast. The difference was that Jane and her mother were the only
ones left in the family, while Anne's family ran a business that was well known in that area.
"Did you buy this dress from the Beauties?" Anne noticed that Jane was carrying the paper bag from
the Beauties. Belongs to (N)ôvel/Drama.Org.
"Yup," Jane had to admit. Jane was not very close to Anne; she did not know her character very well.
She didn’t expect Anne would be jealous of her. Despite that, she smiled and asked, "What do you
think about my dress?"
Jane was on cloud nine that day. She wanted to share her joy with Anne. In fact, She had a little more
talk than usual. She wouldn't ask so much normally.
However, Anne felt that Jane was boastful. She was upset with Jane, who was getting arrogant and
trying to fool her around. She wouldn't be bothered with her if they were not from the same hometown.
"You didn't buy this yourself, did you?" Anne asked tentatively.
"No, it's...a friend of mine who bought it for me," Jane's face blushed.
This bitch looked gorgeous when she was well dressed up. She probably seduced some rich guy.
Anne's gaze reflected her despise towards Jane.
"Where is he? Let me introduce myself to him," said Anne. The apparel from the Beauties would cost at
least a thousand yuan. That guy was wealthy for sure, and Anne wanted to befriend him.
"Ah, so you want to know him? He’s here." Jane took a look at Quincy, who was sitting beside her.
Jane was excited. It was like introducing her boyfriend to her friend.
Anne startled, she never thought that it was Quincy who bought the dress. How could it be him? That
guy looked poor, just like Jane. Can he afford to buy clothes at the Beauties?
