His conflicts with Kevin intensified during his teenage years. Ultimately, it led to one final outburst, in which Sabastian left for a foreign country.,
He had left for six years.
Seeing him again felt surreal to Maggie.
“I’ll meet him later. That old man always threatens to break my legs; I should bring you and Leo with me,” Sabastian said with a hint of humor.
Maggie smiled and agreed.
Despite the constant back–and–forth between Sabastian and Kevin over the years, Maggie always thought they had a unique bond.
Aside from that, time had changed them both. Kevin had softened, and Sabastian had matured, so the previous tension was unlikely to resurface.
“Sounds good. Leo and I will cook to welcome you back, Maggie agreed.
Sabastian took a long look at Maggie, recalling when she first visited his house. She’d been shy and polite.
However, no matter how obedient she pretended to be, there was an unspoken ambition gleaming in those clear, bright eyes.
Leo, who was accompanying her, had started to put on the mask of kindness and learn how to conceal his sharp edges.
After their first encounter, Sabastian found them both intriguing, much more interesting than the typical rule–abiding bookworms.
Since then, he’d often caused trouble and let them take the blame. These two weren’t the kind to take it lying down, always finding ways to get back at h
Just like that, they started to get closer to each other.
The three became friends, causing all sorts of mischief together.
“Time flies. I can’t believe you’ve grown up so much,” Sabastian said. When his gaze fell on Maggie’s face, he was dazed and felt a bit nostalgic.
“Are you going to leave again?” Maggie asked.
“I’m staying. The company is expanding its domestic business, and I’m thinking about trying my hand at composing and songwriting,” Sabastian replied with a relaxed and tone.
“You’re going into music?” Maggie was surprised. If Kevin found out, he’d be thrilled.
Sabastian always had a talent for music, but in his youth, he resisted because Kevin pushed him too hard.
However, Maggie remembered how beautifully he sang, often writing his own lyrics and composing music. Even though Kevin often criticized it harshly, slre still found it enjoyable.
Nathael watched them chat happily; his expression grew darkened by minuses. His intense gaze stayed on Maggie, waiting for her to remember he was there.
Maggie and Sabastian talked for a while, but Maggie eventually felt a chill down her spine.
She turned and met Nathael’s dark and unfathomable eyes. Her heart sank, and she felt a sense of dread.
Oh no! This is bad!
She had forgotten all about him!
Maggie quickly took a couple of steps forward. She smiled at Nathael and looped her arm around his. Then she turned to introduce him to Sabastian. She said, “Sabastian, this is Nathael Harris. He’s my boyfriend.”
Sabastian followed Maggie’s gaze and spotted the man with–a–stern expression, sharp eyebrows, and piercing eyes. His entire demeanor radiated authority; his eyes were devoid of emotion, as if hiding deep secrets. It was impossible for others to read his thoughts.
“Mr. Harris, nice to meet you,” Sabastian said, extending his hand.
The two men briefly touched. Nathael’s voice was low and deep. “Mr. Moore has quite a unique way catching up.”
Maggie suddenly remembered the earlier incident involving the rear–end collision. She deeply sensed Nathael’s pent–up resentment.
Sabastian raised an eyebrow and chuckled. “I happened to be at the amusement park and saw someone from a distance that looked like you.”
Maggie felt her face flush.
Seen from a distance?

“Mr. Moore has a keen eye,” Nathael remarked with a subtle hint of sarcasm. His–mood was clearly not at its best.
Sabastian met Nathael’s gaze head–on, and for a moment, the atmosphere grew tense, like a drawn sword ready to strike.
Maggie felt her throat tighten. She tried to withdraw her arm from Nathael’s embrace.
She pinched his waist, but his muscles were so firm that Maggie barely grasped anything at all.
Nathael’s expression remained unchanged as he said, “For car repairs and compensation, Mr. Moore can contact my secretary. It’s getting late; we won’
Maggie quickly added, “Sabastian, we can catch up later.”
Sabastian nodded and spoke in a low voice, “Let me know when you break up.”
Maggie was stunned and perplexed.
Why would he say that?
Nathael’s aura instantly turned cold. He shot a sharp glare at Sabastian and asked, “What do you mean by that, Mr. Moore?”
Sabastian maintained his casual demeanor and said with a smile, “I have a friend who wants to pursue Maggie.”
Maggie’s eyes widened in surprise, utterly baffled by the turn of events.
Nathael chuckled coldly, his gaze sinister. He said, “You can tell your friend to stop dreaming.”
Sabastian remained unfazed and replied calmly, “Thanks for the reminder, but dating or marriage doesn’t necessarily stop someone from pursuing Magg

Sabastian shifted his gaze to Maggie; his eyes rested on hers for a while, and he asked softly, “Is he treating you well?”
Maggie nodded quickly and answered, “Yes, very well.”
Sabastian attempted to gauge the truth in her words. He stared at her for a few more seconds until Nathael stepped forward, blocking his view.
Sabastian said meaningfully, “It looks like Mr. Harris got what you wanted.”
He stared at Nathael, still smiling, but the smile didn’t reach his eyes. Sabastian warned, “If you hurt Maggie, I’ll knock your teeth out.”
Nathael scoofed. His eyes were cold and dangerous as he asked, “Do you even have the qualifications to say that, Mr. Moore?”
Maggie felt overwhelmed, unable to understand why the two men were suddenly at odds.
Sabastian didn’t respond but instead looked at Maggie, saying, “Maggie, go back to the car. I need to have a few words with Mr. Harris.”
Maggie glanced at Nathael worriedly. He nodded gently and urged, “Go ahead; it’s cold out here.”
She headed towards the car, glancing back several tes, hoping they wouldn’t start a fight.
After Maggie left, Sabastian looked at Nathael, his demeanor relaxed, but his words carried an edge. “Mr. Harris, you’ve done a great job keeping me stu
Nathael smirked, his eyes sharp. He said, “Everyone has to,pay for their youthful indiscretions. You crossed a line.”
