Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 915: The Night Pearl

The four sons of the Brookes family fixed their curious gazes on Ian as he solemnly opened a purple-patterned box. Inside, a pearl emitted a faint glow. In the bright daylight, the light was subtle, but when Ian cupped his hand around it, its brilliance became apparent-a rare Night Pearl. Its starting price was measured in billions.

Brandon coveted the pearl the moment he saw it. He wanted to ask his father how many more Night Pearls their family owned and whether he could have one.

Alina, on the other hand, was overwhelmed with emotion. Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at Ian. "Dad, the Brookes family has done so much for me. I don't even know how to thank you!"

Seeing his beloved daughter cry, Ian quickly moved to wipe her tears. "Don't cry, don't cry! You'll ruin your makeup. A girl should always care about such things. Alina, you're naturally beautiful, but redoing your makeup is such a hassle!" "Alina," Ian continued, his tone tender, "I'm willing to do anything for you. As for this Night Pearl, I have plenty of them at home, in all kinds of colors. Pick whichever one you like!"

Brandon felt a sharp pang in his chest. Dad, if anyone should be crying, it's me-not Alina!

Alina threw her arms around Ian and hugged him tightly. "Dad, you'll always have me by your side, no matter what happens. I'll stay with Ruud and Tina to take good care of you in the future."

Ian was deeply moved by her words. For his daughter, he would pluck the moon from the sky if she asked for it.

"Alright, let's head to the front hall. We'll still get to see Alina again when she takes the stage," Ian said, leading the Brookes family out.

In the front hall, Warren had reserved prime seats in the first row for both the Brookes and Farrell families.

Ruud stood tall and confident among the crowd, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit that highlighted his handsome and mature demeanor. With a highball glass in hand, he toasted the guests, his face glowing with joy and pride. Jared, seated nearby, glanced at his father-in-law's contented expression, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Subconsciously, his hand reached for Tina's, giving her palm a gentle squeeze to draw her attention.

Tina, nibbling on a slice of strawberry cake, glanced up briefly. "My mom's finally gotten what she always wanted. It's a happy ending," she said, her calm black eyes betraying a flicker of emotion.

Her gaze wandered toward the man conversing with Ruud in the distance. As someone who appreciated good looks, Tina couldn't help but admit the man was as handsome as her uncle. She kept stealing glances at him, eating a bite of cake, then looking up again.

Jared, ever perceptive, noticed Tina's wandering attention. His eyes narrowed dangerously as he followed her line of sight. His dark, deep-set eyes hinted at a growing chill.

He reached out to tilt Tina's chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. She licked the cream from her lips, seemingly oblivious to the tension.

"Tina," Jared said in a low, commanding tone, "don't fix your gaze on any man other than me." Half of his pale face was cast in shadow, his narrowed eyes exuding a dangerous, domineering aura.

Tina's eyes sparkled with admiration. "Uncle, you look even more handsome like this! I'll listen to you."

Jared sighed helplessly, unable to stay angry. She was, after all, hopelessly drawn to good looks.

"Uncle, see you later," Tina said, leaning in to plant a sweet, strawberry-scented kiss on his cheek. Jared's stern expression softened instantly, his mood restored.

Tina gracefully took her seat at the piano, her hands gently resting on the keys. As the wedding song flowed from her fingertips, the ceremony officially began.

A drone hovered in the corner of the hall, broadcasting the event live.

The wedding host, holding a microphone, was visibly excited. It was an incredible honor to officiate the wedding of General Praevion and Alina.

"Ladies and gentlemen, friends and family, welcome to Ruud and Alina's wedding! It's the greatest privilege of my career to host this ceremony," the host announced with a booming voice. "Now, let the wedding ceremony begin!" Bright lights cascaded down from the ceiling, illuminating the wedding hall in a dazzling display.

Ruud stood tall on the stage, holding a bouquet of pristine flowers. His face was taut with anticipation, his eyes locked on the doors across the room.

The doors slowly opened, and Ruud's heart raced with a mix of nerves and excitement. His emotions burned fiercely, an unstoppable combination of tension and elation.

Alina stepped forward, radiant in a strapless sweetheart gown adorned with diamond embellishments. The shimmering stars on her dress accentuated her slender waist and graceful figure. The layered fishtail design flowed like waves, blending elegance and allure seamlessly.

Her arm was linked with Ian's as she walked with measured poise, her every step exuding grace.

When their eyes met, Alina's face lit up with a breathtaking smile, radiant and captivating.

Ian's expression was solemn, cherishing the moment as he prepared to entrust his most precious daughter to Ruud.

When they reached Ruud, Ian took Alina's hand and placed it in Ruud's. With a serious expression, he said, "Ruud, I believe you're a good man who will truly cherish Alina. Please promise me that you'll never let her feel sadness in the days to come."

Ruud, receiving his father-in-law's full approval for the first time, was visibly moved. His face was both excited and solemn as he replied, "Dad, Alina is the only one who has ever captured my heart, and she will always be my one and only love. I promise to give her the most complete and unwavering love."

He bowed deeply to Ian, his voice sincere. "Dad, thank you for bringing Alina into this world, for loving her, and for giving me the chance to meet her."

Ian's eyes welled with tears as he helped Ruud stand.

Ruud then knelt on one knee, his eyes shining like galaxies as he gazed at Alina with boundless affection. Holding out the pristine bouquet, he said, "Alina, we've endured so many hardships together. Though the road was difficult, we've found joy, sweetness, and strength in each other. You are-and will always be-my one and only love."

Alina's face glowed under the lights, soft and luminous like the Milky Way. She accepted the bouquet with both hands, her eyes brimming with love. "From the moment we met, I've never had any regrets. In the days to come, you will always be my one and only love too."

The hall erupted in thunderous applause, a celebration of their union.

Ruud held Alina's hand tightly as they walked step by step toward the center of the stage.

Once there, the host asked Ruud, his tone solemn, "Do you promise to love and care for your wife with patience and kindness, to honor her and her family as your own, and to remain faithful to her for the rest of your life? Do you make this vow in front of everyone here today?"

Ruud's eyes were steady and sincere. "I do. I promise to accept Alina as my wife, to live with her in love and devotion. No matter the circumstances, I vow to support, cherish, comfort, respect, and protect her for a lifetime. I will never love anyone else."

The host then turned to Alina. "Miss Alina, do you promise to stand by Mr. Ruud through poverty and wealth, sickness and health, sorrow and joy? Will you love and care for him for the rest of your life?"

"I do!" Alina answered firmly.

"Now, please exchange rings."noveldrama
