Chapter 31 Some People Should Give Up
Chapter 31 Some People Should Give Up
Grandma Preston liked the style and color of the suits that Clara had picked out.
Clara chose two suit to give Ethan, and then seeing that the ties in the drawer were rather good she
also picked out a few of them.
“Grandma, these two ties match the suits just now.” She said as she handed the black card to the
salesclerk. Then to the salesclerk, “These two are a gift. Please take care to wrap them well.”
“Let me pay.” Grandma Preston stepped in. “How can I let you pay?”
“It’s okay, two ties don’t cost much.” Clara pushed her card back, “You talked with me for so long, I
haven’t thanked you well enough.”
“I insist. You have no need to thank me.”
Clara pondered for a moment, “Grandma, there is a shop upstairs that sells Asian dresses. If you feel
like you’re in debt to me, why don’t you gift me an Asian style dress?”
“Okay.” Grandma Preston finally smiled.
The dresses in the Asian dress shop upstairs were all embroidered by hand. Not only did they look
good, but the materials used were also excellent.
Grandma Preston stroked a dress lovingly.
Clara saw that she liked it and took it out. “Grandma, this dress suits you.”
Grandma Preston had loved Asian dresses when she was younger, but in order to put on an act in front
of her grandson, she had injured her arm. That had made it impossible to wear them.
In the end, she bought two Asian dresses that she liked and was satisfied.
By the time Clara accompanied her out of the mall, the sky had darkened. Clara’s mobile phone
received a new message.
She glanced at the message, and the corners of her mouth curled slightly. She turned to the elderly
lady and said, “Grandma, I have something to do. Is someone coming to pick you up, or should I call a
car for you?”
“It’s okay, you can go on ahead. “ Grandma Preston waved her hand. “Someone will pick me up later. “
Hearing that Clara didn’t say anything more. Baxter drove the car out of the garage, and she opened
the back door and sat down.
Baxter’s car had just left when another Mercedes-Benz stopped by the side of the road.
“Madam.” When Josh saw Grandma Paterson carrying a few shopping bags by herself, he quickly went
on, “How can you go out without the servants?”
Grandma Preston was surprised, “I haven’t called you yet, why did you come here?”
“Mr. Preston called and told me to come. “ NôvelDrama.Org content rights.
Grandma Preston got in the car and waited for Josh to bring in the shopping bags. She glanced at the
bags and realized that Clara had also paid for her dresses.
“This kid...” Grandma Preston smiled and shook his head.
Josh asked curiously, “What’s the matter?”
“This time Ethan did well and chose a good granddaughter-in-law for me.” Grandma Preston had a
smile on her face and seemed incredibly happy. “Out of all my granddaughter-in-laws, I only like her.”
“Didn’t you say that Ms. Rowan’s family background wasn’t good?” Josh looked puzzled. “Let me
prepare some money to drive her away”
“Can’t I change my mind?” The elderly woman snorted.
Soon, she turned her eyes to outside the window, her eyes sharp. “It’s good that Ethan is married, that
way he won’t think about things he shouldn’t think about anymore. Some people need to learn to give
up”
Josh understood what she was saying. He agreed with a “Yes”, but also sighed in his heart.
As he saw it, with Mr. Preston’s temper, those feelings would only intensify after marriage. He wouldn’t
give up at all.
...
No matter how hard he looked, he also couldn’t find out who was behind this.
Today, Steve had gone to F city to discuss a big partnership, and he returned to J city at night
completely exhausted.
The moment he turned his phone on, an unfamiliar message suddenly popped up.
“Mr. Steve Lane, your girlfriend is in room 2588 of the Follen Hotel with a man.” Coոtent beloոgs to

The Follen Hotel...... 2588?
Steve narrowed his narrow eyes. The room number felt a bit familiar. As he walked out of the airport,
he called Ruby.
Ruby’s phone was on, but she didn’t answer.
Steve called his villa. From a servant, he learned that Ruby was going to get together with a girlfriend
that night and would come home later.
His heart sank, and he coldly said to the driver,” Let’s go to the Follen Hotel!”
