Love beyond the mask (Whitney)

Chapter 628

Parker scratched his head in frustration. Ever since Ludwik fell head over heels in love, he had become more of a handful than ever.

He tried to reason with him, "Anyway, you should come back soon. Your dad's sick, laid up in the hospital!

And with the chip development success, there's so much data... Who knows how many people are eyeing it greedily right now?"

Ludwik paused, then responded in a low tone, "Parker, you're the one I trust the most. Keep guarding the lab personally, don't let even a fly in!

I'm worried about your safety too, don't leave the lab for any reason."

In Ludwik's mind, sharp as a knife, the person to be most wary of at this time was Jarvis.

But he had been exiled, stripped of his connections and resources. He couldn't touch Parker, and Parker wouldn't fall for his tricks.

Parker said, "Sure, I won't leave the lab. Right now, your uncle's in charge, and he's still loyal to you."

"Let's hang up."

Ludwik casually ended the call, his tall frame standing on the deck, lighting a cigarette.

He hadn't made any effort to keep his call with Whitney a secret.

Thus, Whitney, in the cabin, heard everything he said, loud and clear.

Her heart skipped a beat.

She hadn't expected the latest chip to be developed so smoothly.

She wondered how the market value of The Lippert Group would double once it hit the market, making Ludwik unbeatable not just in Harmonia Country but globally.

She was well aware of Skyfaith's chip prowess, with the previous success of the Sharp-F Chip marking a victory for him.

Would he succeed again this time?

Whitney felt despair.

Was she really unable to escape this man, to be under his shadow and control for the rest of her life?

"Honey, what are you thinking about?" Ludwik finished his cigarette and came down.

His calm, composed demeanor was like that of a conqueror, his gaze knowing her thoughts all too well.

He embraced her, looking into her startled and trembling eyes, "You're about to become the wife of the richest man in the world, aren't you happy?" Whitney felt a lump in her throat.

He gently turned her around, his hand greedily moving towards her belly, his voice pleasing to the ear, "As long as you're pregnant, our third child will be born into this entire world."

Whitney looked at his veiny arm, feeling powerless, "You think wealth can tempt me, you think I care about these things?"

"You don't," Ludwik replied, his gaze lowering into her neck, his tone growing colder, "But I also want to tell you, with the chip development success, stop dreaming about going back to Bryce's side. It's even more impossible. In my eyes, he's like an ant I can crush anytime!"

He forcefully brought her face to his, capturing her lips in a lingering kiss.

Whitney closed her eyes, too tired to struggle.

Her heart felt cold, thinking to herself that perhaps it was time to accept her fate.

With her limited capabilities, she couldn't beat him, and neither could Bryce.

But her heart was still not willing to give in.

Even if this was to become his world, she still yearned for freedom, for her sons!

Emperor City.

The news of the chip's successful development spread throughout The Bartels Group and quickly among other major corporations.

Another night of extravagance at the Emperor City Dynasty Club saw Justin making a grand entrance.

He generously offered a fortune to the club manager to book the most luxurious private room.

"Bring over a dozen princesses!" he commanded, his leg casually thrown over the table, directing the young noblemen around him, "Tonight, you guys splurge all you want. I've got this place covered. After all, The Lippert family is soon to be the richest in the world!"

"The richest in the world, did you hear that? Justin's stepping up in the world!"

His fair-weather friends flattered him.

Justin smirked, casually touching a girl's waist before heading to the restroom.

Upon his return, the atmosphere in the room had shifted. Mocking voices echoed, "Justin's such a joke. The Lippert family's chip development has nothing to do with him.

His playboy pig image is well known in Emperor City!

Sneaky and lecherous, he's often bad-mouthed his cousin, and now he has the audacity to ride on his cousin's chip success and act all high and mighty.

He doesn't realize that once Ludwik returns, he and his father will be kicked to the curb.noveldrama

Ludwik's ruthless, he doesn't keep freeloaders around. This loser will be out on his ear soon enough. We'll just sit back and enjoy the show!"

The room fell silent for a moment.

Someone stood up, "I think Wesley's right, the Lippert family's chip isn't his doing.

What's Justin playing at? If it weren't for his dad being in power, I wouldn't even bother with him!"

"We've never respected him, and the fool doesn't even know it. Haha!"

Justin's face turned ashen with rage as he stormed in, "Wesley Nelson, what the hell did you say about me?

Just because you're a lapdog for The Nelson family, you dare to insult me?

I'll kill you today!"

"The idiot's back, come at me! I've always looked down on you. You're nothing but a reject from The Lippert family, not even worth the dirt under Ludwik's fingernails, don't you get it?"

"Damn you!"

Justin charged in fury.

Wesley quickly engaged, signaling his bodyguards to jump in.

Soon, Justin was beaten black and blue, sprawled on the floor.

Wesley stepped on his face, spitting in disdain, "Loser.

Thinking you can take on The Nelson family?

Do you have any real power in The Lippert Group? You really think you're something? I'm going to beat you to a pulp today!"

He continued his assault, fists and feet flying.

Justin was a mess, tears streaming down his face as he cowered, "Wesley, stop it! I'm one of the heirs to the Lippert legacy too, you know. Hitting me is like signing your own death warrant!"

"Oh, come on, everyone, get a load of this joke. Justin, the Lippert family has room for only one king, and that's Ludwik! You an heir? What, did you crown yourself in your dreams?"

Justin's fists clenched silently. Why did everyone seem to think Ludwik was invincible? Out there, he'd lost to Ludwik so many times, it was humiliating.

He curled up tighter under the barrage of kicks and punches, teeth gritted. If only he were the CEO of the Lippert empire, Wesley wouldn't dare touch

him!

As his consciousness started to fade, suddenly, a leg appeared out of nowhere, deflecting Wesley's punch.

"Justin?" The voice was deep and had a mischievous edge.

Justin looked up in shock to see Jarvis!

With a couple of well-placed punches, Jarvis sent Wesley sprawling, then pulled Justin to his feet, raising an eyebrow. "Seriousty, Justing You let yourself get pushed around like this out here? You're making the Lipperts look bad!"

S

Justin felt like he'd just been thrown a lifeline, sobbing, "They started it! They were making fun of me and then attacked me! Jarvis, bro, what are you

even doing here?"
