Chapter 56
Samuel soon pried open Shelmaine’s lips.
Shelmaine’s eyes widened with tears glimmering at the corners. She felt a sense of disrespect and instinctively bit down.
Soon, the taste of blood spread between her lips and teeth.
Even so, Samuel didn’t let go. He seemed even more driven to continue
Their three years together seemed neither too long nor short, and the air between them tensed
Samuel pressed Shemaine down and pinned her wrists above her head on the plain white sheets. Her eyes and nose were red, and her lips w
were a tempting shade of crimson She was still very thin and boy. If anything, her complexion seemed worse since she got pregnant, which Samuel figured shouldn’t be the case. She should have gained some weight.
They were both lost in their own thoughts. Samuel lowered his head and continued to loss Shelmaine. His free hand slid downward while his knee provided support, careful not to but her belly.
He restrained himself and took care not to harm her as he continued kissing her.
Tears filled with all kinds of emotions streamed down Shelmaine’s face, disappearing into her hair. She couldn’t even make a sound.
After what seemed like an eternity, Samuel finally let her go but didn’t move away. He looked down at her tear–stained, swollen eyes and reached out to wipe them, his thumb roughly grazing her skin.
She turned her head and closed her eyes, refusing to look at him.
Samuel was aware of what he had done. The thought of how he hadn’t stopped and wanted to continue startled him, but he soon regained his composure.
He got up, released her, and went to the bathroom. He came back with a towel soaked in warm water to wipe her face. She didn’t resist but kept her eyes closed and refused to look
at him.
She was resistant now and no longer as responsive to him as before.
“Shelly, don’t cry,” he called Shelmaine softly.
It was only in the dead of the night in the bedroom that he would call her like this. He rarely used such an intimate nickname at other times. Shelmaine had almost calmed down, but her heart ached painfully to hear him call her by that name. Her eyes welled up with tears once more. Exhausted, she turned her back to him and muttered weakly, “Please go, I beg you.”
She had never been this tragile even during their divorce.Contentt bel0ngs to N0ve/lDrâ/ma.O(r)g!
Samuel sat at the edge of the bed, staring at her for a long while before finally getting up to leave.
Hearing the door click shut, Shelmaine’s shoulders shook violently as her tears flowed
The sky had darkened, and the ringing of her phone pulled her back to reality. She fumbled for it and saw that it was Isabelle calling.
She answered and tried to sound normal, but her sobs betrayed her. Isabelle immediately sensed something wrong and urgently asked what had happened. Shelmaine sniffed. “Nothing, it’s okay now.”
“What do you mean okay? Why are you crying so hard? Did anyone hurt you? Tell me, quick!”
Shelmaine held back her tears and couldn’t speak for a long time. When she finally did, her voice was hoarse. “Did I do something wrong?”
“What? What did you do wrong?
“I shouldn’t have fallen for samuel, not to that extent. How did things turn out this way?” she muttered to herself.
She had taken the wrong stop from the stam, right from the beginning
“Shelly, don’t cry crying too much isn’t good for you or the baby. Where are you now? is anyone with you?
“I’m at a hotel. No one’s hrte, just me ”
