Making 863
Ten thousand people stepped on Tyler!
After the people of Saint Light, filled with hatred, had their turn kicking and punching Tyler, he was left unrecognizable.
His wolfish face had swollen like a pig’s head, with multiple fractures in his hands and feet.
His once majestic azure wings were now broken and torn, hanging limply at his sides.
Lying on the ground, Tyler resembled nothing more than a beaten cur, his condition pitiable.
Although the furious mob had not killed him, they had left him barely clinging to life.
He lay there, devoid of strength, unable to rise, every inch of his body throbbing with searing pain as if branded by a red-
hot iron
In Tyler’s eyes flickered a hateful glare.
He etched today’s agony, inflicted by these humans, deep into his memory.
Once he returned to his kind, he vowed to implore the Werewolf Lord to dispatch an army and exact vengeance upon all the survivors of Saint Light.
He must take revenge for today.
Gilmore, standing over the crumpled and powerless Tyler, addressed Aguilar, “Aguilar, lock this werewolf up for now.
“By morning, I will take him with me to hunt down the main werewolf forces

Aguilar affirmed, “Yes, Mr. Reed,” and promptly summoned several strong youths to carry away the grievously injured Tyler.
After all was settled, Gilmore and everyone else returned to the city’s underground shelter.
Inside the office of the shelter, Gilmore, alongside Lilian, Elaine and other key figures, including Aguilar, leader of the refugees, settled into their chairs.
In celebration of Gilmore’s victory over the werewolf enclave and the capture of their sub–chief, Aguilar had arranged for a rare bottle of Lafite to be brought forth from his private stash.
They sipped the red wine while discussing the next steps.
Aguilar spoke up, “Mr. Reed, with the werewolf den eradicated–even though it was just one of many–it means we in Saint Light City need no longer fear their raids.”
“Indeed,” Gilmore replied, “you won’t have to continue hiding underground. You can return to living on the surface.”
The refugee leaders nodded, visibly moved.
Without Gilmore’s intervention, they were uncertain how much longer they’d have to remain in hiding.
Then Aguilar inquired, “Mr. Reed, when you leave tomorrow, may I ask where you are headed?”
Gilmore spoke, “Wherever the werewolves swarm, that’s where I head. I’ll have Tyler here show me the way.”
In truth, God’s Eye had already revealed to him that the werewolf’s main forces were massed in the capital of Aro, which was also his next destination
Yet, he kept this information from Aguilar and the others.
His God’s Eye were not to be disclosed, lest they breed suspicion
This was also why he had taken Tyler captive, using him as a guide would deflect any doubts.
Aguilar, however, voiced his concerns, “Mr. Reed, even though you’ve subdued this captive, he remains a werewolf at heart.
“We must be wary. He could lead you into a trap set by his kind.
“Perhaps I should contact the leaders of other cities in Aro first, to get a lay of the land.”
Gilmore could only nod in agreement, “Yes, that would be wise.”
Aguilar pulled out a satellite phone–a precious commodity now that the werewolf assaults had ravaged the usual communication infrastructure, making regular contact as challenging as threading a needle in the dark.
Despite the widespread destruction, satellite phones remained a reliable line to the outside world.
He dialed multiple numbers in succession.
After hangifig up from the last call, his face was clouded with worry.
Gilmore asked, “Aguilar, is everything alright?”
Aguilar seemed to shake off his somber mood before responding Tve been in touch with several city leaders. “They all report devastating attacks by the werewolves, with an unspeakable number of innocents slaughtered” Gilmore eyed Aguilar, “Which city is now harboring the most werewolves?”
Aguilar replied, “Loridom, the capital of Aro.”
Gilmore nodded, “Alright, if Loridom is under the heaviest werewolf siege, that’s where I’ll head.”
Aguilar and the other officials couldn’t help but rise and bow deeply to Gilmore, “Mr. Reed, your selfless bravery in coming to the rescue of our beleaguered capital is something all of Aro is grateful for. On behalf of everyone, we salute you.”
Gilmore responded, “What’s this for?
“I’m not doing this to help you.
“I can’t stand evil or see the blood of the innocent shed.”
However, Gilmore’s understated answer only deepened their respect for him.
It was precisely because he sought neither fame nor reward and acted only out of a sense of justice that they truly revered
him.
“Please take care, Mr. Reed,” Aguilar said.
Gilmore nodded in acknowledgment.
The next morning, the warm sunshine bathed Saint Light, bringing a noticeable warmth that dispelled the chill of the night. Aguilar and all the refugees emerged from the underground shelter onto the streets to see off Gilmore and his company,
“Mr. Reed, we await your triumphant return!” Aguilar declared with conviction, believing in Gilmore’s victory against the werewolves.
He also hoped that after his queress, Gilmore would return to Sant Light, for he wished to see their city’s savior once more.
Gilmore looked at Aguilar and allinned, “Wait for my return.
With that, he waved goodbye to Aguilar and all those who had come to send him off.
Aguilar and everyone waved goodbye to Gilmore and his companions, including Lilian, Elaine, Claire, and their captive werewolf leader. Tyler. Surrounded by a purple light shield, the ascen into the sky, leaving behind tearful eyes filled
with reluctance,
As night fell again over the capital of Aro–Loridom–a city of millions
At that moment, it lay under the moonlight, battered and bruised
The towering walls that surrounded the entire city stood tall, manned by the soldiers of Aro, along with numerous warriors and cultivators keeping watch.
Within these walls, the city was a forest of buildings with countless homes and a web of streets and highways,
Yet now, this metropolis bore the scars of war.
Thousands of buildings were riddled with holes from werewolf attacks, with many collapsed or left in rui
The streets were pockmarked with craters as if bombarded, a testament to the werewolves‘ assault rather than any artillery
fire.
Due to the werewolves‘ frenzied onslaught, not a single civilian dares to show themselves outside in this metropolis of millions, except for soldiers, warriors, and cultivators who stand guard.
Indeed, every living ordinary person has sought refuge in underground shelters.
At this moment, atop the city walls of Loridom, stands an octogenarian cloaked in a gray robe. His hair is white as frost, yet his eyes are as sharp as lightning, exuding an air of a sage.
This senior is one of Loridom’s eight great Cultivation Emperors, Orville Broad.
Trusted immensely by the monarch of the Aro, he is a supremely powerful being and also the honored cultivation master of the monarch’s most beloved fourth princess.
His high status has granted him unparalleled authority.
When the werewolf legions attacked the capital, he was charged with a heavy responsibility by the monarch–to defend the southern gate of Loridom, leading fifty thousand soldiers, warriors, and cultivators against the werewolf army NôvelDrama.Org (C) content.
It is precisely because Orville stands firm at the southern gate that the werewolves repeated assaults have failed to breach the city.
However, their relentless aggression has caused severe losses to his forces.
The werewolf army has been launching attacks from all sides of the city for ten days and nights, and the troops defending the city are nearly at their breaking point.
The situation is becoming increasingly dire for those guarding the city.
Orville gazes at the moonlit, tranquil night sky, wishing that such peaceful evenings could continue forever.
But he knows this is an impossibility–the calm before the storm.
Werewolf legions prefer to strike in the dead of night, and the current stillness merely indicates that they have not yet

commenced their assault.
Orville’s white eyebrows are knitted tightly in concern. For ten days and nights, the relentless assaults by the werewolf army have pushed all the soldiers and martialists defending the city to their limits.
He wonders when this war between humans and werewolves will finally come to an end.
On the ramparts, all the weary soldiers and martialists are seizing the moment of respite before the werewolves strike again, lying down right where they are to snatch some rest.
It is only now that they can truly relax.
Because once the werewolf army launches their attack, there will be nothing for them but endless battle, surrounded by flames and bloods
