Chapter 9 I Want to Take Revenge
Instead of going to the house Ron rented for us, I knocked on the door of my bestie, Jessie.
I didn't dare to go home. I was afraid that my mom would be sad if she knew it.
When she opened the door, I only called her "Jessie" and passed out with my daughter in my arms.
I was sick and stayed in bed for three days and nights.
"Mary, can you have a little backbone? Is it worth to be hurt like this by a bad man? "
"Mary, I said that Ron was a man that said honeyed words but had a vicious heart. And he was obsessed with money. You didn't believe me and even scolded
me. Now you see it clearly."
"Mary, get up! Don't lie on the bed! You must live like a human!"
……
I was woken up by her scolding.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Jessie standing by the bed with her hands on her hips and scolding me.
I turned around and saw Cassie playing with me. She was clean and energetic.
I was relieved. I turned my head and faced the wall with a pale face. Tears were still streaming down, and the depression in my chest made me sick.
"Mary, you are a smart girl. Why can't you figure it out? That family is obviously scheming against you. You should have left such a bad man earlier. Look, you
are suffering so much here. That bad man is marrying that woman now." With a newspaper in her hand, Jessie gritted her teeth and shouted, "If you can't live a
better life than that jerk in the future, I won't spare you."
I gritted my teeth and didn't say anything. My tears were still uncontrollable.
"Mary, you should think more about your mother." She slapped on the table.
Suddenly, an idea occurred to me. I stood up and asked, "Jessie, what's wrong with my mother?"
Jessie avoided my eyes and didn't say anything.
I realized something was wrong, so I got up and ran away.
"Mary, room 307 of People's Hospital." Maybe she felt it's not good to hide it from me, so she shouted behind my back. I fell over when I heard it.
When I arrived at the hospital, my world collapsed. The anger at that moment made me want to kill someone.
It turned out that after I fainted with anger that night, Ron drove me out directly, and my mother-in-law ran to my mother's house and made a big noise. My
mother was stimulated and fainted with cerebral hemorrhage. Fortunately, the neighbors found it and sent her to the hospital in time.
Jessie had been taking care of her these days.
Even so, my mother didn't tell me when she regained consciousness. She was afraid that it would affect my family.
"Mom, I'm sorry." Standing beside the bed, I held my mother's hand, choked with sobs, felt guilty and painful and knelt down.
At this moment, there was only one thought in my mind: revenge!
No matter how they bullied me, I could bear it. But I couldn’t bear that they hurt my mother like this!
"Excuse me, are you the patient's family?" I knelt on the ground, and the hatred in my heart spread crazily. The nurse came in and asked softly.
"Yes." It was not until she asked me a few questions that I came to my senses and answered automatically.
"The patient's hospitalization deposit has been used up. Please renew it on time." The nurse handed me a bill and said.
"Okay, thank you." I took it in a hurry, turned around and walked towards the charge desk of the inpatient department. © NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
When I was waiting in line, my mind was full of Ron, Sherry and my mother-in-law's ugly faces. The wounds on my body were particularly painful at this time,
and my anger burned my mouth dry and my throat was hard to swallow.
"Please pay the bill." The cashier took the bill from me and operated the computer for a while without raising her head.
I tried my best to grope in my pocket, but I couldn't speak. I was stunned and forgot a cruel fact: I was deprived of all my property, and now I was penniless.
After a while, under the accusing gaze of the cashier, I left the counter in a daze.
Two years ago, when my father had cancer, my mother almost ran out of money and gave all her money to him for treatment. In the past two years, my mother
had lived on a pension. But after my father left, my mother's health was not as good as before. She took medicine every day, and the pension was not much
left. A week ago, when Cassie was one year old, she even took out thousands of dollars to buy gifts for her!
What should I do? What should I do?
