Chapter 520
Selena was still trying to wrap her head around the shocking news. Her emotions were all over the place-surprised, angry, and a tangled mess of feelings she couldn't even begin to describe. Meanwhile, Everett had reached his limit. He was done waiting. He'd been waiting far too long...
The cabin's small window was cracked open, letting in the wild waves and the bone-chilling night breeze from the sea. The wind whipped through the window, sending the curtains into a dance. The cold breeze made Selena shiver, snapping her back to reality. Everett's eyes were dark, filled with a deep, simmering rage.
"Everett..." Selena tried to keep her cool. "Let's talk this over. I can explain..."noveldrama
"You want to talk now?" Everett's voice was rough with anger, each word dripping with fury. "You want to talk now, but I'm done talking!" His meaning was clear as day.
Selena's face went pale, but she wasn't about to back down. "About our divorce..."
Whether it was the word "divorce" that hit a nerve or he just didn't want her to have the chance to speak, Everett decided to go with his gut. He'd been thinking about this for three long years, and now he was finally getting what he wanted.
She probably couldn't grasp it-how for those three years, every night, he'd lie awake, longing for her, unable to sleep. Back then, he couldn't stand her. He poured out all his anger and resentment, compounded by the shock of the child.
Their two kids, one they lost, and the
other... she had aborted. And then she dared to have a child with.
another man. The kid had grown up so fast. If he could, he'd hav@ended her right then and there.
He needed her to understand just how furious and hurt he was. Her betrayal felt like Death's scythe slicing down, nearly taking his life.
Selena's eyes were red, tears spilling
uncontrollably, but she refused to show him any weakness. She wrapped her arms around his neck and bit down hard on his shoulder. She wasn't holding back.
Soon, she tasted blood, feeling it trickle down her lips. Everett felt the pain too. She was really trying to take a chunk out of him.
Now *this* was Selena. The meek, silent woman from moments ago wasn't her. She was always a fighter at heart.
Everett grabbed her by the back of the neck, lifting her head, his fingers prying open her jaw, his touch lingering on her sharp teeth. "Selena, still love biting, huh?"
He glanced at his shoulder, seeing the deep, bleeding bite marks-a pretty shocking sight. He smirked coldly.
As the night wore on, Selena's head
lolled to the side, and she
completely passed out. Everett pulled he into his arms, a bit self-deprecatingly thinking that only when she was asleep would she be this quiet and docile, letting him do Whatever he wanted.
He wrapped her in a bathrobe, carried her out of the bathroom, and laid her back in bed.
