CHAPTER 21: Found

– LIA –

I SLOWLY open my eyes when I felt the warmth of the sun hitting my face. The ceiling of my room greeted me together with the cold feeling coming from my air conditioner.

I pulled my blanket to my shoulder when I suddenly felt the warmth above my tummy move. It was heavy and I had a hard time pulling my blanket.

My eyes travelled from my chest to my stomach. It was covered with the blanket, but an arm is pinning it to my body. When I looked to my left side, I saw a very handsome man, staring at me.

My eyes widened when I realized that I live alone! I pushed him with all the force I got that made him fell down from the bed.

“Oh god, that hurts,” Kelleon said. He kneeled on the floor while touching his nape.

“Oh, my god. I’m so sorry,” I apologized to him when I realized what I did. “I didn’t mean it.”

I grabbed his hand and pulled him back to up. I was stunned when I noticed that he’s half naked.

My eyes were glued to his abs. One, two, three, four, five, six. Six pack, and they all look delicious. I suddenly have the urge to lean closer, touch them, and lick them as my breakfast.

“Stop licking your lips, mi amor. I might ravish you like what I did yesterday,” Kelleon’s voice disrupt my imagination which made me stop from licking my lips.

He sat down on the bed, just few spaces beside me. “I was about to greet you a good morning, but you seemed surprise that I’m the first thing you saw in the morning.”

I raised my eyebrows at him. “Of course, I’ll be shocked! A man is in my bed, staring me while I’m asleep, and I don’t even know why he’s here!” I exclaimed at his face.

“What are you doing here anyway? How did you enter my room?” I asked him.

His mouth opened a bit, he smiled, until his smile turned into a loud laughter. I furrowed my eyebrows at him, confused on why he’s laughing. Did I say something funny?

“You don’t remember what happened last night, mi amor?” he said as he moved closer to me. I felt his hand touched the part of the blanket near my legs that made my body twitch a bit.

“Should I make you remember it, then?” he whispered in my ear. The warmth of his breath sent chills to my body. As I listen to his voice more, the memories of yesterday came to my mind.

My hands flew to my mouth when I realized what happened. Did I remember it right? Did we really did that?

“You’re blushing, mi amor. You’re also like that last night, plus you moans and beg–” I couldn’t finish hearing what he is saying as I ran to left my bedroom while wearing my clothes. I jumped to my living room and hid my face on the sofa.

I can’t believe I let him do that to me! I’m so weak!

I want to punch and kick myself for being so weak at him. We aren’t even in a relationship, a decent relationship, yet I let him fingerfuck me!

I threw tantrums on the sofa, but it was cut short when I heard knocks on the door.

My head turned to the wall clock, and noticed that it’s just almot seven in the morning. I lazily walked towards the door and opened it.

“Lia!” the voice greeted me. “G ka ba, magmall tayo mamaya after work? Kasama tropa.” (Are you game to go to mall later, after work? With our other friends.)

I tried to open the door with little space as possible. Kelleon might follow me here and Althea will see him! This will be an another issue!

“Uhm, yeah,” I answered while trying to act normally. “Sure.”

However, Althea noticed the change in me. She squinted her eyes and pushed the door a little. Uh, oh.

“What’s the matter, huh?” she asked. “Open the door, Lia.”

I was to answer her when I felt a presence behind me. I kicked him, signaling that he should hide, but he didn’t listen! He even moved closer!

I want to punch Kelleon in the face and ruin his well-defined nose but I need to respond to Althea.

“You could’ve texted me. Your house kind of far from here,” I said, trying to swerve the topic.

“Yeah, that’s what I was doing for the last hour but you didn’t reply,” she said while showing me her texts from her phone.

“Oh.”

“Yeah, oh. Now, open the door and let me in!” she exclaimed while trying to push the door harder.

I tried to push it too and prevent her from entering, but Kelleon pulled the door towards us, causing it to open widely. The force from Althea pushing and the strength of Kelleon pulling the door made my feet stumble, causing me to fell on Kelleon’s chest while Kelleon also fell down on the edge of the sofa.

When the door finally opens, Althea caught us in such a weird position!

“Your friend is telling you to open the door. Why won’t you let her in?” Kelleon said while smirking.

I don’t know what he’s smirking to; ifit is because Althea caught us or because I was sitting on his lap!

He turned his head to Althea, not minding our position. “Sorry about that. I don’t know why Lia won’t open the door.”

You know why I won’t open it. It was because of you, dumbass!

Althea was stunned, but she collected herself immediately.

“Oh, okay,” she said while looking at us. “I think I disturb the both of you, so I’m gonna go.”

I hurriedly stood up while stomping on Kelleon’s hand. “Althea! No, you’re not disturbing any–”

“She is.”

I glared at Kelleon who just pursed his lips, as if he did nothing wrong.

“I’ll fetch you from work, Lia. Okay? Then we’ll go to the mall,” Althea said, smiling at me. I can’t say if her smile is a genuine one or the smile that says ‘you better explain later or you won’t fall asleep at night’.

We bid our goodbye to each other. While Althea was walking away, Kelleon put his hand on my shoulder and waved to Althea as if they were close friends.

I turned my head to him.

“You better go home now or I’ll drag you to the nearest and dirtiest canal,” I warned him. Thankfully, he took it seriously.

“I’ll see you again later, mi amor,” he said and gave me a kiss on my forehead. It was gentle and soft. I didn’t even want him to let go.

I watched his back as he walked back to his house. When I closed the door, I started getting ready for work while a big smile on my face.

IT WAS NOT a stressful day at work. Mainly because we have no case to solve and all we did is to update our database. Most of my time today was spent on reading unsolved crime mysteries around the world.

Detective Javier and Darwin is not around. They texted me, saying that they’re going to the airline for a follow up about the records and footages. I told my senior about Kelleon and she told me that Kelleon can help in collecting records and evidences about Dennise Lopez or Denisse Cantos in Spain. I’ll talk to him about it later.

Speaking of Kelleon, I was surprised when I received a packed lunch from him. Like the steak yesterday, it was also inside a tupperwear. I don’t know if he’s the one who cooked it or a maid, but if it’s him, then it’s another husband point for him!

Like what Althea said earlier, she really fetched me from work. I rode her car and I can already feel the questions coming.

“Anong ginagawa niya sa bahay mo?” (What is he doing in your house?) she asked while driving.

I didn’t lie to her. I told her that Kelleon had dinner in my house and he slept there. I just didn’t add the intimate part.

“I’m okay with what he’s currently doing. But remember, once he do something wrong to you, place yourself away from him. Okay?” she said. I nodded at her and cling onto her arm.

Jhoan, Celsi, Jerome, together with Yvette is already there when we arrived. We just had a quick dinner. Thankfully, Althea didn’t talk about what she saw on my house earlier. Our talk revolved on our rants on our own jobs and catching up on each other.

“Bloated ako, mhie,” (I’m so bloated) Jhoan said as she touched her tummy.

Celsi answered her. “Dami mo kasing nakain! Baka magsuka ka sa byahe mamaya.” (You ate a lot! You might vomit during commute later.)

“Let’s just explore the mall a little longer to digest,” Yvettee suggested to us. We all nodded at her.

“Maybe, let’s just leave at 7:30?” I asked. It’s still early and we have almost thirty minutes before that time.

We walked around the mall while looking to the different stores. We entered Fully Booked, looked at the books inside, take a picture of those that we want to buy, and left without buying anything. We even entered an Apple Store, used the displays for a little bit, then left when we saw the personnel trying to approach us and ask us question about purchasing.

Suddenly, before we turn left to the intersection of the mall, Yvette grabbed me and hid me behind her.

“Itago niyo si Lia! Dali!” (Hide Lia. Hurry up!) she exclaimed while whispering to my friends.NôvelDrama.Org: owner of this content.

I don’t know what’s happening, but my friends started to surround me. I am the smallest in our group so it was easy for the to hide me. Yvette grabbed her phone and started scrolling like there’s nothing suspicious happening. My other friends also did the same, aside from Jerome who pretended to be talking to someone over the phone.

After a few moments, Yvette spoke.

“Alejandro’s here. We better go home now, especially Lia.”

Her words stunned me. Alejandro? That’s Dennise’s husband, right? What is he doing here?

“Let’s all walk to the exit while hiding Lia between all of us, okay? On the count of three.”

After Althea finished counting to three, we all walked normally. We haven’t even reached ten steps when Yvette spoke again.

“He’s looking at this way. Act normally but walk a little bit faster.”

We followed her. I was squeezed between them but I didn’t mind. I will prefer being squeezed like this instead of being seen by Alejandro.

We reached the first floor and Yvette told us that she can’t see Alejandro anymore. They gave me space but Yvette and Althea held my hand and the six of us run towards the exit to the parking lot.

We haven’t even reached the halfway to the exit when I saw Kelleon entering the mall, running.

“Kelleon!” I shouted his name. His head turned to my direction and he ran towards me.

I was about to tell him about Alejandro when Yvette suddenly bowed down and spoke.

“Greetings, your highness,” she said with all formality.

Kelleon looked at her. “If I’m not mistaken, you’re from the Palma House.” He didn’t ask her. It was a statement.

“Yes, your highness.”

When Kelleon didn’t reply and Yvette kept her head low, I spoke.

“We saw Alejandro. He’s here,” I told him.

He didn’t look shock when I said that. Instead, I saw Yvette’s head snapped towards me. “That’s why I went here. You need to go home.”

Althea, noticing the questioning stares of my friends, spoke, too.

“He’s the kidnapper I was telling you in our GC,” she whispered to our friends, but it didn’t escaped Kelleon’s ears.

Yvette’s eyes widened. Suddenly, she grabbed my shoulders and slightly pushed me towards Kelleon.

“Then, we’ll be leaving her to your care, your highness,” she said. “Please don’t let her be seen by Alejandro.”

Kelleon nodded at her. “I will keep her safe.” With that, he intertwined our fingers and looked at me, saying that we have to leave.

Before we go, Yvette touched my hand, so as my other friends. Althea even grabbed it as if she doesn’t want to let go. “Mahal, tell us whenever something happens, okay? Call us if you need help.”

I nodded. “I will. Thank you and please take care.”

When my friends let go of my hand, Kelleon and I walked towards the exit. I didn’t look back, for I don’t want to meet any other more person who will mistook me as Dennise.
