Mr. CEO Your Wife Has Wanted a Divorce for a Long Time

Divorce LONG 287

  1. W. Smith’s so–called desire for a deeper conversation was, in reality, an attempt to learn about the core technology of Infinite–CM from Johnny.

Johnny shook his hand and, with a perfect smile, said, “Mr. Smith, you flatter me. Your two papers on ‘Recurrent Neural Networks‘ and the ‘Attention Mechanism‘–I’ve read them at least ten times. They have been an enormous inspiration to me. It’s truly an honor to be able to converse with you.”

Naturally, K. W. Smith wanted to converse more with Johnny, but the conference’s opening ceremony was about to begin. They didn’t get a chance to talk for long before staff members approached to guide them to their seats.

After the opening remarks by the conference organizers, K. W. Smith, Johnny, and other distinguished guests began their keynote speeches. Everyone was eager to establish connections with Johnny and K. W. Smith.

After the first round of discussions, both Johnny and K. W. Smith were surrounded by senior scholars and corporate representatives.

Maggie, Harry, Glen, and Rex didn’t need to rush to join Johnny and K. W. Smith. So, they simply stood at the periphery and watched.

Franklin didn’t need to join them either, but since he was with Julia, he was right in the center of the crowd.

After opening a bottle of water, he handed it to Julia.

This gesture drew another wave of envious looks from the women in the crowd.

Those experts, scholars, and business people who knew about Franklin and Julia’s relationship were now beginning to understand why, despite Franklin’s prestigious background and achievements, he had chosen Julia as his girlfriend. After all, although Julia was beautiful and well–educated, her family background had always seemed rather humble.

But now, upon learning that she was K. W. Smith’s student, they thought it made sense.

Previously, they had been courteous to Julia because of Franklin, but now, knowing she was K. W. Smith’s student, they treated her with even more enthusiasm.

Whether it was the envy from the women or the new admiration from the business leaders, Julia noticed it all.

She took the water Franklin handed her, took a small sip, and smiled silently, then turned her gaze toward Maggie, Rex, and the others standing off to the side.

The fact that Julia was K. W. Smith’s PhD student definitely caught Rex by surprise. His eyes, filled with admiration, were impossible to hide.

Julia noticed this, but it didn’t surprise her at all.

She looked toward Maggie. Seeing that she was indifferent, seemingly not caring about all the attention, Julia silently sneered.

Was she really indifferent, or was she just pretending to be calm?

After all, Julia was K. W. Smith’s PhD student. That identity was a height that Maggie could never reach.

Maggie could only look up at her. noveldrama

Maggie didn’t miss the contempt in Julia’s eyes. Although he didn’t know exactly what she was thinking, he could more or less guess.

It was probably not hard to figure out what she was thinking.

Maggie couldn’t help but feel amused and coldly shot her a look in return.

Julia thought Maggie was just putting on a brave front.

She didn’t pay attention to her any longer and instead looked at Harry and Glen. However, she noticed that Glen was staring at Maggie, seemingly only seeing her and not even noticing Julia.

But Glen had never been one to focus on appearances. After witnessing her brilliance, how could he possibly develop a true affection for Maggie?

Thus, when she saw that Glen seemed entirely focused on Maggie, she didn’t feel the least bit worried.

As for Harry, he was gazing at her with an absent look in his eyes.

Julia smiled.

He had always known she was outstanding, but he probably hadn’t realized just how outstanding she was, right?

So, would he still like Maggie?

  1. W. Smith indeed wanted to converse more with Johnny.

However, neither Johnny nor the conference organizers gave him the chance.

At lunch, Johnny excused himself, saying he had an appointment, and left with Maggie and the others.

As they passed by Franklin and Julia, Maggie kept her eyes straight ahead, not glancing at them. Franklin, seemingly indifferent to her departure, was focused on talking to someone else and didn’t pay any attention to her.

  1. W. Smith’s trip to America officially ended on the second day of the International AI Conference’s opening.

He was disappointed that he didn’t get a chance to speak with Johnny in depth.

However, he didn’t stay disappointed for long.

Before leaving America, he joyfully told Julia, “The latest submission to NMI’s upcoming issue is of extremely high quality, with a very interesting innovative perspective. All of us reviewers were thoroughly impressed. After the journal is published, I truly hope to have the chance to engage in a deeper conversation with the author.”

Yes, K. W. Smith was not only a world–renowned university professor but also a reviewer for top AI journals.

As a reviewer for a prestigious journal, he was not allowed to disclose any information about submissions before they were officially published, including his evaluation of them.

However, given his standing in the AI field, he didn’t think anyone would dare leak such a minor breach of confidentiality.

Julia, seeing how highly K. W. Smith rated the paper, couldn’t help but feel curious and eagerly awaited the journal’s release.

Fortunately, the release of NMI’s latest issue was just around the corner.

Additionally, she knew that K. W. Smith’s mention of the paper was also a sign of his high expectations for her.

She replied, “I understand, Professor. After the journal is published, I’ll make sure to carefully read and study that paper.”

  1. W. Smith nodded, “Good.”

After seeing K. W. Smith off at the airport, Julia finally took a car back home.
