Chapter 405
Dustin had questions to ask.
"You're not allowed to die just yet!"
Dustin took a couple of pills from his pocket and fed it to Gary.
Dustin's medical skills had long surpassed his adoptive father, Lucas's.
Keeping Gary alive or even reviving him-was entirely within his capabilities.
But Dustin had no intention of saving him.
Gary gasped and drew in a ragged breath. His face was filled with shock.
"Who... who the hell are you?"
"I'll be the one asking the question, and you'll answer. Or you'll wish you were dead already.
"Now, who ordered the massacre of the Fox family?"
Gary's shock gave way to a sneer.
"Curious, aren't you? Well, I won't tell you!"
Dustin's face darkened. Then, he tightened his grip on Gary's wrist.
"Ahhh!!!"
Even a hardened soldier like Gary could not help but let out a blood-curdling scream.
The pain was unimaginable. Every nerve in his body seemed to be ablaze. Every cell screamed in inhuman agony. Yet, Dustin's precise technique ensured he remained conscious and unable to escape his torment.
"I'll talk..."
Dustin released his grip.
"The one who gave the order... they're far beyond your comprehension. It's someone you can never touch in this lifetime, or even next! Even with the Dragon Warlord Token, you can forget about revenge!" Gary spat out in rage.
Dustin's face darkened further.
Alan Cave did not talk about the person. Josiah Harmon did not, either.
They were terrified to even mention the mysterious figure.
Gary was doing the same.
Who was this person?
What kind of power could terrify such influential figures?
Even a hundred thousand soldiers were not enough to deal with him?
Or perhaps... Gary was exaggerating to try to frighten him.
Seeing Dustin's troubled expression, Gary smirked in satisfaction.
Even at the brink of death, he was attempting to taunt him.
"Speak! Who is this person?" Dustin demanded, and his patience was running thin.
He did not care how powerful this mysterious figure was. He would face them regardless.
Giving up on revenge was out of the question.
"I only know that the mastermind
ove
behind this is terrifying. I'm not qualified enough to know about their trueddentity," Gary said with mocking laugh.
He sounded genuine.
Dustin tightened his grip again. His face remained indifferent.
Gary's face turned pale. He was wrecked with unbearable pain.
"I can give you... one clue...
"Go to the Reed family villa in Hattan. Find Tristan Reed..."noveldrama
Dustin frowned as he released his grip.
"Who is Tristan Reed? Was he involved in the Fox family massacre?" he asked.
Gary did not answer.
Dustin reached out, only to find that Gary had no pulse.
Gary had ruptured his own heart using his pure energy. He was completely and utterly dead.
Even with Dustin's unparalleled medical skills, there was nothing he could do.
Gary had
y left him with
only a fragment of information His
intention was unknown.
Perhaps it was a trap.
But Dustin had to pay the Reed family a visit. Even the faintest lead was worth pursuing.
He stood and looked at Gary's lifeless body.
"Take this corpse and mutilate it. Burn the remains," he ordered calmly.
The soldiers of the Western Forces paled at his words.
"He was a
Bayour-star general, after all s to en.kikistories.ne
Isn't that a bit... excessive?" The general hesitated.
Dustin's gaze turned cold and sent chills through the soldiers.
"My family was slaughtered for no reason. Wasn't that excessive?"
None dared to argue further.
"We obey the Dragon Warlord's orders," the deputy general said and bowed.
Dustin turned and walked away.
It was time to return to Grayvale.
Those who had wished for his death were destined to be disappointed...
What do you think?
