My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 608

"You're wrong there. Mr. Langley is your elder. You should respect him. How can you treat him like this?" Killian chimed in indignantly.

"Mind your own business." Dustin looked at him coldly. "Respect for elders should be earned. Do you always use empty words to act like you're better than everyone else?"

Killian's face darkened after being insulted like that.

"What do you want?" Simone asked. "If there's nothing else, we'll leave."

"You're here to buy antiques, right?" Darren asked as he glanced at them.

"Do you even know anything about antiques? What makes you think you can shop here?"

"I know a little," said Dustin and gave him the same reply.

"A little?" Darren laughed as if he saw right through Dustin.

"The world of antiques is very complicated. If you don't know anything, you should leave now. Otherwise, you'll regret it."

"Thanks for the advice," Simone said coldly and pulled Dustin away. She did not want to stay and talk to them.

Darren and the others looked upset.

"Mr. Langley, should we teach that guy a lesson later?" Killian asked with a sneer.

"That sounds good." Darren smiled.

Simone pulled Dustin aside and looked around with a worried face.

"What Uncle Darren said isn't entirely wrong, though. We don't know much about antiques, and we could get scammed. I only have 70 thousand left. I can't afford to lose that."

"It's fine. I know a little." Dustin was not worried.

The two of them looked around as the trading hall became livelier.

The event organizers displayed many different antiques, and the event was about to begin.

"Everyone knows the rules, so I won't repeat them," the host said loudly. "Some items are real, and some are fake. The fake ones look real, and the real ones are immensely valuable. As usual, everyone pays a registration fee of 50 thousand, and then you can pick what you want.

"In the event, the paid registration fee makes you eligible to choose an antique. If you pick a fake, you lose your money, but if you pick a real one, you make a profit.

"Please, keep in mind that the 50 thousand is just the registration fee. After picking an antique, you have to pay a sum based on a percentage, and the results will be revealed later."

After the host finished speaking, everyone quickly signed up.

"50 thousand for the registration fee, and we have to figure out what's real or fake? How can we tell?" Simone looked troubled and did not know what to do.

"Don't worry, I've got it," Dustin said reassuringly. Then, he pushed through the crowd to sign up.

"Hey, don't go so fast." Simone could not stop him, so she followed and paid the fee.noveldrama

"I'll pay," Dustin said.

"Not yet. If we lose, you'll have to pay for it," Simone said teasingly.

Dustin laughed.

After signing up, they were taken to the display area, which held the antiques.

Darren and the others were also there.

"Hmph! They'll lose everything." Darren glanced at them coldly.

"How do we pick?" Simone was overwhelmed by the antiques. Everything on display looked real to her.

"Dustin, didn't you say you know a little about antiques?" Darren, with Luna and Killian, walked over to them. "Look at these items. Which one is real, and which one is fake?"

Dustin looked at the table in front of him.

There were five items on it.

Dustin glanced at them and then focused on a beautiful porcelain vase.

"I think this one looks real. It's really well-made," Dustin said.

As soon as he spoke, a few people nearby laughed quietly.

"Do you really think you know enough about antiques?" Darren sneered and laughed.

"Do you know why they're laughing? Because what you just said is ridiculous!

"Antiques are supposed to have an

aged look. The vase you picked looks brand new, almost like it was just made. Even someone who doesn't know about antiques can tell that it's not real. Just because it

looks nice, you think it's real? That's just laughable."
