Chapter 376
Willow was made to submit to the overpowering strength of a man. She tasted porridge in her mouth, but also felt the sensual warmth of a man upon her lips. Life returned to her, like spring ending a long winter, and her body responded amiably. She drank down the porridge as fast as it flowed over her tongue.
Her taste buds came alive in the presence of something delicious, and saliva began to flow once more along her parched throat. Precious sustenance trickled down into her stomach, warm and filling, granting sweet salvation to her dry and barren body.
Like watering a flower that had been beginning to wilt, Willow's petals instantly became plump and full like before.
Remembering her terrible hunger, Willow began sucking the food down faster. Her lips kissed hungrily against Jasper's own, the soft, moist sensation coursing through his whole body like a high-voltage electric shock, leaving him paralyzed.
With big, strong hands, Jasper grasped Willow's head and pulled her hard against himself, while he fed her every last drop of that hot, white stuff.
Everyone else in the room exchanged looks, and then wisely vacated the room.
Before long, the porridge was all gone. Her hunger sated, Willow gradually returned to her senses. Slowly, she opened her eyes and saw a handsome face up close, flawless of complexion and taut of sinew. His long, luscious lashes were like fans of black lace. His features were exquisitely chiseled, perfectly defined.
Such an incredibly handsome face, ablaze with all the scorching energy of a real man...!
Willow realized she was locked in a kiss with this man. Naturally, she backed away on instinct.
A bit of porridge drooled out from the corner of her mouth. She licked it right up, savoring the taste. Cautious, crystal-clear eyes watched Jasper guardedly.
"I didn't enjoy that," she told him anxiously.
Jasper set the empty bowl down on the nightstand, intense eyes glancing her way for only the barest of moments. "You didn't enjoy... the porridge?" he asked, his voice deep and mesmerizing.
Willow shook her head. "I enjoyed that."
Ravaged by hunger, she was now dizzy and weak. Her throat tasted bitter and there was an unpleasant coolness inside her stomach.
That bowl of porridge had saved her life. Nothing had ever tasted so delicious to her.
Jasper's lips curved into a faint sneer, sinister and mysterious. "No wonder you were gobbling it all up like that. Was it the porridge you so enjoyed the taste of... or me?"
He said these words with a frosty nonchalance that caused a shocked Willow to gape at him, wide-eyed. Just like that, all her caution evaporated, driven away by her wildly racing heart.
As conscious thought returned to her, it brought along the recollection of herself wolfing down that
porridge with embarrassing urgency. She'd had more than porridge in her mouth, in that moment...
After all, she'd been starving... and then she'd been given food.
She hurried to explain, "I wasn't myself, there. I was only thinking about eating the porridge."
Jasper's manner became serious, and also cold. "You're all done fasting, then?"
Wondering why he was suddenly getting angry again, Willow nodded anxiously. "I'm all done. No more fasting."
What she was all done with was committing suicide. It certainly wouldn't move this man to sympathy. From now on, she had to look after number one. No more foolish heroics.
No one would ever save her from danger, besides herself.
"You can forget all your little tricks, Willow. The only way you're ever getting out of here is if you find some way to please me,
understand?" Jasper snapped,
before storming out of the room.
With his intimidating presence removed from the room, Willow was finally able to relax a little.
She'd nearly died today, trading starvation for poison. Never again.
By the time the IV drip bag was finished, all the toxin had basically been flushed from Willow's system.
That night, she slept in Jasper's own room.
Late in the night, Jasper came out of the shower, wearing a bathrobe, and sat down upon the edge of the bed. The mattress sank slightly as he did so probably on account of the sheer weight of his massive aura.
Physically and emotionally... every last inch of Willow tightened up.noveldrama
