My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna)

Chapter 2321

Chapter 2321

However, as Hendrix said, it wasn't easy to break through the bubble and see through the truth of what they had believed for so long. People will never know how convincing faith could be.

"Not necessarily. If there's a will, there's a way. What do you think, Mr. Roberts?" I had no idea what Emily was trying to do, but she was sending signals to Hendrix with her gaze, completely treating me as if I didn't exist.

Hendrix leaned back with a cold face and said in a nonchalant-what-the-hell way, "Don't ask me. Ask Jordan if he agrees."

Hearing what he said, Emily could only give up. "Just kidding. Mr. Roberts, you're too serious. It's a bad habit that needs changing."

"I'm afraid that's not possible. All I want to know is if your appetite is big enough to take in our scattered goods." Hendrix said and he seemed to be a little angry. His face was gloomy and scary.

However, I was particularly familiar with this side of him. To me, he looked serious, strong, and always ready to defeat his opponents.

"Haha." Emily laughed in a low voice. "Mr. Roberts, you're so shrewd when it comes to doing business. But why are you so narrow-minded just because we changed the goods? My appetite is small. I can eat my fill in two or three bites, but there are more than a billion people in the country. Do you think that I can't sell my goods?"

Hendrix remained unmoved and continued to say, "All I know is that we're going to be far from the central power and the capital. What makes you so confident in thinking that you're able to handle all of your boys in the lower management well? If there are some slip-ups and one of them gets caught and begins blabbering the truth, what would become of us?"

"That's impossible," Emily said with certainty.

"Unless you let me investigate all of your men by giving me their information, or take up my suggestion and let me arrange for one of my men in every city. If there's any wind of the news, we'll know at once and take action fast. That way, it will benefit us both."

The smile on Emily's face gradually froze. "Mr. Roberts, don't forget that we're talking about business. I'm not your subordinate, so I have my own set of ways of doing things. Why do I feel like in your eyes I am just a middle man that's taking your goods and selling it out at the market?"

Speaking of this, Emily paused for a

moment, and her face suddenly turned fierce. Her shrewd eyes emitted a fierce light. "Are you trying to take advantage of me? Is that what this means, Mr. Roberts?"

As soon as she said that, the sound of a gun being loaded rang out from behind us. Emily's men were all ready to kill us in an order time.Nôvel(D)rama.Org's content.

Hendrix and Emily looked at each

other in silence. The atmosphere et

suddenly became tense, and

seemed that something would burst

out at any time.

I couldn't help but swallow. I looked behind me out of the corner of my eye.

There were about four people behind us. There was a blind spot by the left-hand side, so if they fired on us I should dodge to the right.

At this time, the elevator began

making some mechanical sounds. A

few seconds later, the guards by the elevator pulled the metal door sideways and greeted the person inside.

"Mr. Marshall."

Jordan walked out of the elevator and approached us slowly.

He stopped to the side of the table and began to untie the leather bag in his hand.

Emily narrowed her eyes and fixated her gaze on him, her eyes alert and tough.

When everyone was thinking about what Jordan was going to do, he grabbed Emily her hair, smashing her on the table.

One time, two times, three times...
