Chapter 1127 Are You Going to Break Your Words?
Julien knew Sydney wanted to marry him, but she wouldn't say it outright due to her shyness.
Julien wished Sydney wouldn't be so shy and tell him she wanted to be his wife straightforwardly.
But he knew it was not possible, at least not for now.
Sydney was too shy to admit it.
Julien was determined to make her get rid of the shyness in front of him.
He narrowed his eyes, raised his thumb to her lips, and rubbed her lips with it.
Sydney felt a tickle on her lips. She turned her head sideways and tried to back away.
However, Julien expected her to dodge. Just as she turned her head away, he immediately clasped the back of her head with his other hand so she failed to back away.
"You..." Sydney looked at him with wide eyes and was about to question him. But she quickly noticed the desire in his eyes.
Immediately, Sydney's heart thumped. She guessed that Julien had something evil in mind.
Her body stiffened. After a second, she came back to her senses and tried to get off Julien's laps.
She knew Julien was going to make a move on her.
Sydney moved her body to escape, but Julien immediately leaned over her with narrowed eyes.
Julien pushed Sydney down onto the couch.
Sydney couldn't move as Julien held her on the couch.
The corners of her mouth twitched. She knew she couldn't get away.
She guessed Julien sensed her intentions the moment she had the idea.
Therefore, just as she tried to back away, Julien pinned her to the couch and she had no chance to escape.
"Julien, can you let go of me?" Sydney pressed her arms against Julien's chest.
She knew she couldn't get away from him, so she pleaded with him.
She bet if she played cute to him, he might let her go. NôvelDrama.Org owns all content.
Even though she knew the chances were slim, she wanted to have a try.
"Why would I let go of you?" Julien immediately asked rhetorically.
He would never let her go.
He would be a fool if he let go of her.
Sydney wasn't surprised by Julien's answer, but she didn't give up.
She rolled her eyes and smiled at Julien, "Can you get up a bit? Your body is all over me and I can't breathe."
She was going to break away from him once he got up.
She would act fast.
However, Julien could see her intention in her face and he was amused.
"You don't need to breathe on your own, let me help you breathe. There’s no need for me to get up." Julien held her tighter and her body was now pressed against his.
Sydney's face flushed terribly.
She was lying when she said she couldn't breathe, but now she really couldn't.
Sydney felt annoyed that she had gotten herself into this situation. The smile on her face froze.
She took a deep breath and said to Julien, "I don't need you to help me breathe. You..."
"Have you forgotten our deal?" Julien interrupted Sydney before she could finish.
Sydney was confused. "What?"
"You forgot it?" Looking at her confused face, Julien narrowed his eyes.
Sydney subconsciously shook her head. "Be straight with me. Don't make me guess."
Julien touched her face and replied, "Okay, I'll be straight. Before dinner, you said you'd think about it after dinner. And now we've finished dinner. Did you forget our deal when you asked me to get up?"
Sydney choked and she was dumbfounded.
Apparently, she had forgotten all about it.
Seeing the dumbfounded look on Sydney's face, Julien said with disappointment, "If you want to break your words, then do it. I don't blame you. This isn't the first time you've broken your words."
Julien dropped his eyes and gave a frustrated look.
Sydney understood what he was saying, annoyed. "Julien, can you be straight forward? Why would you say it in this way? Who told you I was going to break my words? You said it's not the first time I've broken my words. When have I ever broken my words? Why can’t I remember? I always keep my promises. Don't slander me!"
She wasn't happy about Julien's allegation.
It sounded like she was a woman who broke her promises all the time.
Watching Sydney's sullen face, Julien asked with surprise, "So you don’t forget your words?" His eyes sparkled.
"I won't." Sydney grunted, "I didn't say I forgot it. That was your guess."
"My bad. I thought you were going to break your words." Julien looked at her with smiling eyes.
Watching his smile and the teasing under his eyes, Sydney hissed with widened eyes, "Julien, you tricked me!"
"How did I trick you?" Julien blinked innocently.
Sydney pulled her hand out from under Julien's chest, pointed at him, and stared at him angrily. "You deliberately tried to irritate me and make me say I'd keep my word, didn't you?"
Julien smiled.
Sydney became even angrier. "You are smiling. My guess was right. Julien, you are so annoying!"
Sydney pouted unhappily. She lifted her leg and tried to kick him.
Julien immediately pressed his leg against hers as if he had eyes on his back.
"I was worried that you would not keep your promise, so I said those words. Don't be angry. You promised me that in the morning, didn't you?" Julien's eyes grew deeper.
Sydney couldn't refute him.
She did promise him in the morning.
"I don't care." Sydney glared at him with widened eyes. "If you didn't purposely irritate me, I'd keep my word, but you purposely annoyed me, and I won't do it anymore."
Sydney pushed Julien, trying to move him away from her body.
But Julien wouldn't get off of her.
Sydney couldn't push him away.
No matter how hard she pushed, Julien's body wouldn't move.
Gradually, Sydney became tired. She was panting on the couch.
Julien was amused. "Don't struggle. You can't get away."
Then Julien leaned over to her.
Sydney knew Julien was going to kiss her. She subconsciously closed her eyes.
She knew there was nothing she could do except accept it.
There was a saying that if you couldn't escape something, you should enjoy it.
Sydney knew that even if she could run away now, Julien wouldn't leave her alone when they got in bed.
However, the moment Julien's lips were about to land on Sydney's, the doorbell rang.
"Someone is coming." Sydney immediately opened her eyes. Perhaps Julien was so intent on kissing her and let his guard down that she pushed him away.
