No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Samuel took the initiative and said, "I'll take you on this time! Are you up for it?"

"Alright, but if you lose, you'll have to apologize for harassing me outside the restroom earlier." Her gaze was cold and dark, carrying an oppressive air.

Samuel's face faltered for a moment. "What are you talking about? When did I harass you?"noveldrama

Jessica chimed in, "Exactly, Noelle. Don't think you can slander someone just because you're a little attractive!"

Noelle clicked her tongue twice. "So, you're scared? If you're too cowardly to admit it, just say so!"

"Who said I'm scared? Fine, we'll make a bet. But if you lose, you'll apologize for locking everyone's phones!"

Samuel was confident he would win. A small smile flickered in Noelle's eyes. "Alright, I'm in!"

She sat back down and put her headphones on. Most of the crowd sided with Samuel, certain that Noelle would lose.

As the match began, Samuel grinned. "To make it fair, I won't pick my best character, so no one can say I'm bullying you."

Noelle didn't bother responding. She quickly launched a combo and defeated Samuel! Though it did take a few more seconds than the last match.

The crowd was once again stunned. If the first win was because the team member was careless, what was the explanation this time?

Noelle was going against the team captain-the one with the most experience and skills!

Samuel stared at her in disbelief. "This is impossible!"

Noelle smiled faintly. "If you switch to your best character, I'll make sure you lose so thoroughly that there'll be no way for you to deny it!"

Samuel gritted his teeth and switched to his strongest character. He refused to believe such nonsense!

The second round began.

Noelle watched Samuel charge toward her and said coldly, "You're not cut out for this close-combat character. Your brain and reflexes can't keep up."

Samuel snapped back, "Stop talking rubbish! You have no right to lecture me!" Seizing the opportunity, Noelle landed a combo and ended the match.

Samuel slammed his keyboard. "Impossible! Something's wrong here!" He couldn't believe it; Noelle had beaten him so easily!

Noelle stood up. "It's not your fault. I shouldn't have come to the newbie area and dominated, but I'm trying out for the national team, so I'm sorry to everyone!"

"Noelle, shut up!" Samuel's pride was shattered. This was impossible!

"Now, it's your turn to apologize. A bet's a bet."

Samuel's face twisted in displeasure. He had never expected to lose! He didn't want to apologize.

Jessica immediately spoke up, "Noelle, don't go too far. We're all classmates here!"

"But everyone heard the bet," Noelle shot back. "If you can't afford to lose, don't bet!"

At this point, Samuel felt like he was being roasted alive, his cheeks ablaze with humiliation. Finally, he muttered, "Sorry."

Noelle smiled with satisfaction. "That's more like it. If this happens again, it won't be as simple as an apology."

Samuel's expression darkened at her words. This bitch!

Meanwhile, some of the girls in the room exchanged glances. Samuel had a reputation for being handsy, but no one expected him to be taken down by a freshman.

Just then, one of the team members said, "I heard Noelle is really good with computers. Do you think she used cheats?"

Jessica added, "Exactly. Noelle must've used cheats. How else could she beat the captain?"

Others murmured in agreement. After all, Noelle was just a newcomer. How could she possibly defeat the captain, who was pursuing a professional career?

Samuel finally caught on. "So it seems you've cheated, Noelle!"
