Chapter 96
Chapter 96 III Intentions
"Nathan, you're so good to me."
Nathan ignored her and headed straight towards the balloon vendor. But after taking a couple of steps, he realized his wallet was still in the car and turned back to retrieve it.
Just as he turned around, he saw Emily standing not far away.
Clearly, Sophia hadn't anticipated Nathan suddenly turning back.
She had sent Nathan to buy the balloon to prevent him from seeing Emily, but his sudden turn had foiled her plan.
Seeing Nathan staring at Emily with infatuation, Sophia was burning with anger. Suddenly, she tightly furrowed her brows and squatted down. "Ouch..."
"What's wrong?" Grace asked worriedly. "What happened, Sophia?"
Sophia gave Grace a signal, and Grace also noticed Emily, as well as Nathan staring blankly at her. She frowned slightly.
"Mom, I twisted my foot."
Grace cooperated with her and called out loudly, "Nathan! Come quickly, your wife is injured!"
Nathan frowned, but he didn't move from his spot, still staring intently at Emily and her pink sports car.
He sneered inwardly. That car was undoubtedly Jackson's. With Jackson's taste, he actually agreed to have his car painted in this girlish pink color. Emily, you sure have some charm. Jackson knows you have a man, yet he still wants to impress you like this. "Nathan?" Grace saw him not budging, so she walked over directly to remind him. "Nathan, Sophia is hurt. She's also carrying your child. Go check on her."
With Grace's reminder, Nathan had no choice but to go back.
He turned his head and saw Sophia squatting on the ground, holding her ankle in pain.
He walked over. "What happened?"
Sophia pinched her thigh, forcing tears to well up. "I just twisted my ankle, it hurts so much..."
Nathan glanced at her high heels and felt a hint of impatience. "You're pregnant, why wear such high heels?"NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.
"Girls like to look beautiful! Wearing high heels makes my legs look slender, and it enhances my body proportions."
Nathan sneered inwardly.
During the past few days at home, Sophia had only worn a loose robe and slippers. Nathan was used to seeing her bare-faced, but now she had put on exquisite makeup, wearing a beautiful dress and high heels, she seemed like a different person. But, Sophia still couldn't compare to Emily.
After seeing Emily, Nathan felt Sophia's sophisticated makeup looked somewhat tacky.
Sophia was still in pain. "Nathan, you have to help me walk today."
Nathan hadn't spoken yet when Grace said, "Your fiancé should take care of you. Nathan is a responsible man, how could he ignore a pregnant woman who hurt her foot? Isn't that right, Nathan?" What else could he say?
Although his heart had flown to Emily's side, he still had to respond. "Yes."
Grace smiled, "Exactly, dear, don't they look especially matched?"
Logan Morgan nodded with a smile, "Yes, they're very matched."
"Nathan has a good taste, he's taken a liking to our daughter. Their child will surely be very good-looking."
"Of course, their future child will definitely be handsome. Just like us, we're both good-looking, and our Herry is cuter than other kids."
Grace echoed with a smile, "Yes, actually, Herry looks more like you."
Logan Morgan laughed heartily, "Hahaha, that's right, my son definitely looks like me."
Emily approached them.
Without paying attention to Nathan and Sophia, she went straight to Logan Morgan, greeted him with a professional smile, and politely said, "Hello, Mr. Morgan. I'm an employee of Jackson's. My boss will be here soon, and I'm here to accompany you today."
Logan Morgan recognized her at a glance. "Aren't you the woman with a bad temper from the Hilton Hotel? What does your boss mean? Is he intentionally trying to cause trouble for me by sending you to greet me?"
Emily remained unfazed and replied gently, "It was a personal matter between us, but now it's work time. I will fulfill my duties and do what I have to do."
Herry came up and attempted to kick her. "Humph, ugly freak! Go die! You should be run over by a car on the street!"
Emily stepped back in time, avoiding Herry's kick, but he still left a dirty footprint on her white dress.
She continued to smile, "Thank you for your reminder. I will strictly abide by traffic rules when crossing the road in the future. I definitely won't get run over." "You..." Herry angrily threw himself into Grace's arms. "Mom, I don't want the ugly freak. Make her leave!"
Grace glanced at Logan Morgan but remained silent, waiting for his response.
However, Logan Morgan didn't seem inclined to chase her away.
He quietly stared at Emily for a moment, then said, "Let's go, lead the way."
"Dad!" Herry was displeased. "Dad, I don't want to see this ugly freak! Make her leave!"
Logan Morgan's attitude was
somewhat vague. "We came to the amusement park to have fun. It doesn't matter who accompanies us. If you don't like her, just ignore her. Let's go, we're going inside."
Herry wanted to cause more trouble but was stopped by Grace.
She whispered something in Herry's ear, and he immediately became happy, despite his previous anger. He glanced at Emily sneakily, smiling with ill intentions.
