Chapter 325 Result of the Investigation
Chapter 325 Result of the Investigation
In the afternoon, Blanca had a half-day off, but she didn't tell Matthew about it.
At first, she just thought of her grievance and had a complicated mood. She wanted to talk to Matthew
and asked him to comfort her. But Malinda had messed everything up. Since Matthew was ill now, she
didn’t want him to worry about her.
Seeing that Blanca had fallen asleep, Matthew stood up and covered her with a quilt. Then he walked
out.
"Sir, I've found out something about what you asked me to investigate." This belongs © NôvelDra/ma.Org.
"Shh!"
Matthew raised his hand and gave a hint to Blanca. Blanca was sleeping inside. He didn't want to
disturb her. Curtis was smart enough to know his meaning. He followed Matthew to the balcony and
said, "You asked me to investigate Mrs. Grant's grandmother, and I found something out. They did
move there more than 20 years ago. It is said that no one has seen her parents. From the beginning,
she has been living with her grandmother alone."
"Go on." Matthew put his hands on the balustrade of the balcony and looked out of the window at the
scenery.
It was the end of July. The weather was scorching.
Matthew felt a little irritable, but as long as he thought of the girl who was sleeping in the room, he felt
happy and could calm down immediately.
Curtis was a little hesitant, but then he still continued, "I've found out that Mrs. Grant's grandmother is
named Flora Cecile. She used to be.
.. the servant of Mr. Butler."
Hearing this, Matthew couldn't help but raise his eyebrows.
He was thinking about this. In fact, Matthew had already guessed something in his mind, but he still
needed some time to confirm it...
"Have you found out why she left?" Matthew asked.
"It's been a long time, so I can’t, but I found that when Flora Cecile left, the young lady of the Roach
family just disappeared."
What!
An idea came to Matthew’s mind. Matthew gestured for Curtis to stop talking and was lost in thought.
In fact, he was a very observant person. The first day he saw Blanca, he felt that she had given him a
sense of familiarity...
It was just like the sense Mr. Butler gave him when he met Mr. Butler for the first time in his childhood.
This matter must be investigated clearly.
"What about the appointment with York Roach?" Matthew suddenly asked. Since it was not easy to find
the answer from Mr. Butler, he would start from Malinda's father.
Although the Roach family was big in Oakshire, the Grant family was also powerful.
York was a businessman. He had no reason to refuse the cooperation.
"Everything is going well! Mr. Roach’s assistant said that as long as you have time, you can talk to Mr.
Roach at any time!"
"That's good. I’ll talk to him tomorrow." Matthew said.
He had almost recovered and could be discharged tomorrow. After receiving Matthew's order, Curtis
hurried to call Mr. Roach’s assistant.
Matthew returned to his room. Blanca was still sleeping, but she seemed to have dreamed of
something bad. Even in her dream, she frowned tightly. In fact, Matthew had noticed that Blanca was in
a bad mood just when she came back today. But he didn't ask. If Blanca wanted to tell him, she would
do that sooner or later.
Since she didn't want to tell him now, he would wait.
Matthew took off his shoes and went to bed, holding Blanca in his arms.
Perhaps from this moment on, he had already treated this woman as his family.
No one could bully her in front of her. He would find out the truth she wanted.
