Reborn Before The Divorce

Chapter 109

Jesse looked at Sara, who smiled as if she was not worried at all.

“I talked a lot with Mrs. Pascall just now, all within the scope of testing. You know, I always do testing differently from others.” Sara apologized to Nydia, “Mrs. Pascall, I’m sorry if I offended you earlier. If there is anything that makes you unhappy, please let me know.”

Nydia couldn’t help but think that Sara was quite skilled at pretending. She couldn’t tell if the conversation just now was about testing or if Sara was testing her.

“Immersive testing? Impressive!” she thought to herself.

“In fact, Mrs. Pascall’s problem is quite small, and it’s your problem that’s bigger. Since you’re here today, why don’t you come with me and we can talk about it? I’ve been wanting you to come for a re-check for a long time, but you’ve always been too busy. You can’t refuse now that you’re here, right?” Sara asked Jesse.

Jesse thought for a moment and agreed to go with Sara. They left the office, leaving Vergil and Nydia behind.

“Vergil, does Jesse come here often?” Nydia asked.

“Sorry, ma’am, I have no comment,” Vergil replied.

Nydia couldn’t help but think that Sara was quite extraordinary. If Sara really liked Jesse, his status must be quite high, unlike Willette. She admired Sara’s ability to lie so easily.

Moreover, she couldn’t be sure if Sara really liked Jesse or if he was just testing her.

Nydia sat on the sofa biting her nails, wanting to eavesdrop on Sara and Jesse’s conversation, but it was unlikely since Vergil was still here.

Sara and Jesse sat face to face in the room. Sara played soothing music to help them relax, a treatment Nydia didn’t receive earlier.

“Does my wife really have no problems?” Jesse asked.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.

“You care about your wife a lot, don’t you?” Sara asked with a smile.

“Yes.”

“Why haven’t you come for such a long time? Is it better or… you don’t want to face it?”

“It’s better.” He replied simply, his throat still sore and unwilling to talk too much, but thankfully his nasal tone had diminished a lot. Otherwise, he would be even less willing to speak. As Nydia put it, he sounded whiny when he spoke with a nasal tone. Although he didn’t think so himself.

“I don’t believe you when you say it’s better. We still have to test it and let the data speak for itself.”

After some testing, Sara raised his eyebrows.

“Jesse, you’re lying. Your condition is still very bad, and it’s worse than before. What’s going on?”

“It’s okay. I don’t think it’s a big problem. Although the data shows that, I feel better myself.” He seemed indifferent.

This made Sara very angry.

“This is not a small problem. Once psychological problems erupt, they can be more serious than physical illnesses.”

“It’s not that serious. Today I’m mainly here to accompany my wife.”

Sara sighed, “You still care so much about your wife.”

Jesse pulled the corners of his mouth without saying anything.

“I’ll go first.”

He turned his wheelchair and prepared to leave. Sara immediately stood up and stopped him from leaving.

“There are only two factors that have caused your current condition to be so bad. One is your leg injury, and the other is your wife.”

Sara mustered the courage to say, and when Jesse’s cold eyes fell on her, her heart tightened, feeling a chill in her chest. But Jesse didn’t erupt, which made her breathe a sigh of relief. She knew that if it were someone else, Jesse’s emotions would definitely be out of control.

“I can’t do anything about your leg injury. You know better than I do. But your wife, being with her is of no benefit to you and will worsen your condition. Are you sure you want to continue?”

Jesse’s eyes changed, “Did you tell her all this today?”
