Chapter 82
“Mommy, your face is so flushing, are you still having a fever?” Molly reached out her little hand to touch Nydia’s face, but was startled by the heat, “Mommy, you’re so hot. Daddy, Mommy isn’t feeling better yet, we have to take her to the hospital.”
“It’s okay, I’m fine, much better than yesterday. Molly, don’t worry.” Nydia said, finishing her breakfast. “After breakfast, Mommy will rest. By the time you come back from school, I’ll be fine.”
She spoke with confidence, but Molly was somewhat skeptical.
“Mommy, if you’re not feeling well, you mustn’t lie. Lying isn’t good. If Daddy bullies you, you tell me and brother.”
After speaking, Molly glanced at Jesse, her round eyes with a hint of warning, puffing her cheeks and wrinkling her little nose, trying to make her expression fierce, but she looked really cute.
“Well, if Daddy bullies me, I’ll definitely tell you. Have you finished your breakfast? It’s time to go to school.”
“We’ve finished.”
“Has anyone bullied you at school?”
“No, they dare not bully us! Me and brother are so tough.” Molly said proudly, clearly telling the truth.
Ordinary children really couldn’t bully them as long as adults weren’t involved.
When they left home to go to school, Nydia and Jesse were left behind, and the atmosphere became awkward.
“I’m going to the office.” Jesse left, and Nydia breathed a sigh of relief. Otherwise, looking at him, she always had some inappropriate thoughts.
Even she was surprised at how she became like this. She was not a person obsessed with male beauty. Why did she feel embarrassed when she saw Jesse, feeling unable to move her legs?
After taking her medicine, she felt drowsy and was planning to rest when she heard that the police wanted to see her.
“Mrs. Pascall, Pandora wants to meet you, so could you come with us?”
“Okay, wait for me to change my clothes and I’ll go with you.” Nydia put on a floral maxi dress that reached her ankles, her long hair cascading softly down her back, making her look gentle and tender.
She was already stunningly beautiful, but the muted floral print of her dress softened her radiance, making her look like a woman stepped out of a painting, with gentle eyes and brows that could mesmerize anyone.
“I’m sorry for keeping you waiting for so long. Let’s go.” Her voice brought the two officers back to reality, making them feel embarrassed.
Upon arrival, Nydia sat in the reception room waiting, and it wasn’t long before Pandora was brought in.
Pandora seemed excited to see her and was about to rush over, but was held back by the officer next to her. “Calm down!”
“Nydia, can we settle this privately? I can compensate you with a lot of money, I can apologize to you, I don’t want to be detained, please.” Pandora pleaded desperately.
“Do you think I need money?” Nydia lifted her hair behind her ears, revealing a smile on her lips. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
“I know you don’t need money, but… how about this? You make a request, and as long as I can do it, I’ll fulfill it, as long as we can settle this privately.”
“As long as I’m willing to settle privately, you’ll do anything?” Nydia’s tone sounded indifferent, leaning back on the chair with her back slightly arched.
At this moment, the sunlight happened to shine on her, and her dark brown hair became even softer and more lustrous in the light, contrasting with her exquisite white and tender face.
Today, she had no makeup on, but her cheeks were still rosy and her beauty was ethereal.
But in the next second, the saintly beauty spat out cold and cruel words.
“Your son insulted my husband by calling him a cripple, and I didn’t like it.” Her slow and deliberate speech was soothing, but her words made people’s hearts skip a beat.
“A child who lacks empathy and mocks others can only mean that there is no one around him with a disability, or, he himself has no disability.”
Pandora was shocked and her face turned pale with fear.
