Refusing To Be 730
Alexander almost dropped the bowl in his hand. He opened his mouth to explain, "Aveline, it's not what you think. Nora and I didn't..."
Aveline looked at him coldly and interrupted, "What stories are you planning to come up with this time? Let me ask you, on the day Nora and I fell into the sea at the same time, who did you save?"
That was the only memory she could remember, and at that moment, thinking about it, she still felt a pain like a needle piercing her heart.
If she could ask that question, Alexander knew he couldn't hide anything from her again.
"Aveline, I had my reasons at that time."
Aveline said calmly, "Perhaps you have some unavoidable difficulties, but you left your own wife to save another person. Sorry, I can't sympathize with your difficulties. I only feel sorry for myself. You're right, It's good to forget those memories, because thinking about them will only increase my troubles."
Alexander did not know how to explain to Aveline, because no matter what he said now, even if it was the truth, Aveline would no longer believe it.
In her mind, he had already been labeled as a liar.
Ciara took the bowl and glared at Alexander, "Aveline, don't pay attention to him, he's just a stickler, Mom will feed you, eat more to heal faster."
"Heal faster? Mom, I won't." Aveline laughed lightly. She was no longer a three- year-old, and the chances of her surviving in the late stages were less than one percent.
What's more, with her serious condition, she shouldn't have much time left.
"Nonsense, medicine is advanced in this world, there should be a cure for the disease. Don't worry about it, everything will be fine."
Ciara patiently comforted Aveline. After all, if the patient doesn't know about this disease, they could live for a few months. But under the heavy psychological burden of knowing, they might be scared to death within two or three days.
Aveline saw that her emotions were quite stable, with a sense of returning after a thousand sails.
She didn't argue with Ciara whether it could be cured or net, she lowered her head and ate the porridge, acting like a well-behaved kitten.
Alexander thought that she might argue and question him, but he didn't expect her to be so calm, so calm that he felt scared.
Watching her finish the porridge,
Alexander wanted to say a few
words to her, but Aveline refused
him with a single sentence, "Younet
didn't rest all night, you can go back, I don't want to see you here
anyway."
Alexander: "..."
She really spoke the most piercing words in the gentlest tone, without any hatred in her eyes.
Ciara noticed that the atmosphere between the two of them was not good. Aveline's illness should not be stimulated. If there were too many negative emotions in her, it would only make her sick faster.
"You go back and change your clothes first. Look at the blood on your body, it
looks horrid." Ciara also urged.
Alexander thought about it and only agreed reluctantly, feeling too wretched in his current state.
When he got home, Eloise was
dozing off on the sofa. Solomon bad
lost too much blood and wasnoveldrama
resuscitated at some point. After waking up, he was pressed to the glass again.
Solomon knelt on hus knees all night, almost losing all feeling in his knees.
Seeing Alexander return, Eloise hurriedly approached him to plead with him, "Alexander, for the sake of him being your brother, spare him this time."
Alexander, who was furious, glared at her fiercely, "He brought this upon himself."
He did not know if he was referring to Solomon or himself.
Wasn't it just self-inflicted to fail to that point?
What do you think?
