Chapter 34 KAIDEN STIRLING I walked out of Freda’s room and passed through where the celebration was taking place. Lyra Jacobs, glared at me scornfully from where she was serving punch to the others. Her eyes silently daring me to utter a single word. If not for Freda’s sake,I wouldn’t have hesitated to rush over and snap her neck for daring to insult me. No lowly wolf like her could even bear to look into my eyes. I couldn’t tell if it was guts or mere s**y this friend of Freda possessed. I glanced around, my eyes scanning every child in the room until my gaze finally landed on Cisco as he played with a bright smile on his face with his friends. I needed no soothsayer to confirm that the boy was my son. The resemblance between us was undeniable. Clenching my fists in anger, I stormed out of the house. I strode towards my car and pulled the car door with such intensity that could have it ripped it out of its hinges. I was angry and my wolf was clawing at me to burst out and eliminate every obstacle in my path. I ignored it and drove furiously to the office. I arrived at the office and my anger had not simmered down one bit. “Sir the files in the office need to be signed”, my secretary stated cautiously, three feet away from me. He glanced at the floor, obviously intimidated by my aura. Chapter 34 “Noted” I stated through gritted teeth as I entered my office. I needed the distraction anyway. Anything to take my mind off things. I sat down and took a deep breath to settle my nerves as I began to go through each document carefully. Thirty minutes later, I had barely signed any of the documents, and my mind kept straying to Freda. I tried to focus but my mind decided otherwise. “You want her”, my wolf teased. “Shut up” I yelled finally losing control. It was all because of Freda, why was she so stubborn?. She clearly wanted nothing to do with me.
Balling my hands into fists, I thought of when she denounced our mate bond in front of everyone, how she rejected me. I accepted that I made a mistake and marrying Safiya was the worst mistake of my life. I would probably spend the rest of my days regretting our ill fated relationship. I just wanted to make things right with Freda. I needed to get on her good side. I wanted to be a good father to my son. Why couldn’t she let me do just that one thing?. I kept my face in my hands in frustration as I sighed deeply. It was a mess, I needed to get things right with Freda. She seemed to hate me even more than before. With my hands still in my face, I kicked the table repeatedly. I needed to release some of the steam or I could go crazy with anger. Just then the door suddenly burst open, as if all the terror I was facing wasn’t enough I was graced with the sight of my worst nightmare, Safiya. This lady was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. She came in, huffing and panting with flared nostrils and her 7-60 Chapter 34 1. blonde hair was flying furiously behind her. Her green eyes. burned furiously with murderous intent. I rubbed my temples in frustration and sighed. “What do you want, Safiya?” I asked tiredly. All this stress was beginning to get to me. “What do I want Kaiden, you have the guts to ask me what I want?” she yelled as she dropped her bag on my table and crossed her shoulders staring angrily at me. “If you have nothing to say, then the door is behind you” I stated as I went back to going through the files even though I wasn’t concentrating on whatever was written on it. But right now I’d do anything to get rid of Safiya. “Where the hell did you go, Kaiden?, why weren’t you answering your calls?, I called you severally” she yelled so loudly her veins were bulging. She didn’t look so pretty to me now, she looked like a m**l patient despite the classy clothes she wore. I wondered what attracted me to her in the first place. Freda was more mature and would definitely not be causing a scene in my office like Safiya was doing right now.
“Kaiden” she yelled, bringing me out of my thoughts as she stared daggers at me. “I asked you where the hell you ran off to? Why didn’t you answer my phone calls?” She said in a questioning tone. kept mute as I didn’t feel the need to explain my whereabouts to anyone. I was only tolerating Safiya because she was the mother of my Kids, if not, no one dared to speak to their alpha in such a condescending manner and went scot free. Chapter 34 7 BB Wouchers I flipped quickly through the documents as I ignored her presence. “Kaiden, did you go to see Freda?” She questioned. I balled my hands into fists as I clenched my jaw as tightly as I could as I ignored her still. “Kaiden, I asked you a question,” she yelled a bit louder this time. “Did you go to see that b** Safiya?” She asked as she sent all the documents on my table flying to the ground. I couldn’t tell whether it was her s**g my table or her disrespectful tone towards Freya that was my undoing, all I knew was I was up the next minute using all my alpha aura to silence her and make her succumb to me. She stared at me with wide eyes as she didn’t expect me to unleash my aura on her. I had always been tolerating her tantrums but not anymore. “I-its because of Safiya, isn’t it?” she croaked out. “You went to see her and you’re doing all this because of her?” She gaped in disbelief as her green eyes stared directly into my soul but I couldn’t care less. “Yes” I growled, closing the distance between us as I stood tall in front of her. I was surprised she was still on her feet, most people usually fell to their knees whenever I released my alpha aura on them. “If it makes you happy, then yes, I went to see Freda, and you should get used to seeing me around her”, ” I finished as I stared down at her hard until she lowered her eyes in defeat. Feeling a bit satisfied, I stormed out of the office.Original content from NôvelDrama.Org.
