Yet, Benjamin was now standing up against Roger.

He knew that crossing Roger could potentially ruin his chances of graduating.

If that happened, Benjamin would be devastated. After all, his hopes of having a better future rode on that one certificate.

Still, he was speaking up.

I couldn't tell if he genuinely wanted to see his score or simply wanted to help me, but at that moment, I silently vowed to help him graduate no matter what. If he wanted, I'd even sponsor his masters!

The university had clear rules that students had the right to review their test papers if they felt that lecturers had graded them unfairly.

So, Roger would have no choice but to comply with Benjamin's request.

Seeing Benjamin's act of courage, Liam gritted his teeth and stepped forward, too. "I'd like to review my test paper as well, sir! I know I got everything right, and even if marks were deducted for my writing, there's no way I'd lose 14 points! I demand a review!"

Behind us, the kind-looking lecturer from earlier suddenly smiled. "Mr. Hopkins, why don't you just show them their papers? That way, they'll know what they got wrong."

Roger shot us a murderous glare and turned to Benjamin. "Fine. I'll show you the papers. But remember, William will be receiving disciplinary action for disrespecting his lecturer, and you're currently siding with him. This means both of you will face similar consequences, and you'll never be welcomed in my class again, so think twice before you act."

As expected, Benjamin and Liam hesitated after hearing this.

Being barred from a core subject's lecture might not seem like a big deal for university students since they could self-study, but there was the issue with the credits.

Without the credits of the core subjects, a student would not be able to graduate.

As freshmen, the thought of being unable to graduate was terrifying.

I quickly stepped in. "They have the right to review their test papers, so don't you dare threaten them! I've recorded everything you just said. 1 don't mind posting it online and letting others decide whether your words are fit for a lecturer

The lecturers around us instantly paled, aware of how unacceptable their earlier words were.

Roger's face darkened as he struggled to defend himself. "I already said they can see their papers if they want to. It's just that-"

I cut him off. "Quit stalling and just show us the papers already!"

Actually, I hadn't recorded anything because I didn't need to.

I had plenty of ways to deal with him and didn't need any online support.

Cornered, Roger begrudgingly pulled out a stack of test papers. He flipped through the pile until he found Benjamin's and Liam's papers and tossed them onto the desk roughly.

Benjamin and Liam scanned their papers and burst out in anger.

"Sir, why did you deduct five marks for this? My answer is correct!"

"Mine too! There's nothing wrong with my answer to the last question, so why did I get zero points for it?"
